Chapter 144: First clues

Late at night, everything is quiet.

Next to a blazing fire.

Lingling's parents gathered around the fire and looked tenderly at the little girl in Thor's arms.

There was a small blanket covering half of the little girl's body.

She was being held in Thor's arms, her little head resting on his shoulder, her little hands loosely grasping the fabric in front of her, her cheeks rosy, and she was sleeping soundly.

Huhu lay at Thor's feet, very close to his friends, and was also sleeping soundly after playing.

The adults breathed very softly, for fear of waking up the two little ones who had just fallen asleep from playing.

Thor, who was sitting on the stone, tried to get up, but the little ball soon seemed to notice something and frowned slightly. Thor was so scared that he quickly sat back down and dared not move.

Ashley found it amusing. In all the years they had known each other, she had never seen the Elf King, who usually did things as he pleased, being so cautious.

She glanced at Blue, who understood and handed her a cradle that he had just spent a long time and carefully weaving.

Ashley used the firelight to check if there was anything that could prick people. Seeing that the cradle was qualified, she hung it on a branch and gently handed the cradle to Thor.

When Thor saw the cradle appear in front of him, his eyes lit up and he winked at Tryton. Tryton cooperated and took out some cloth from the space ring to pad the bottom of the cradle.

Seeing that the bottom of the cradle was soft enough after layer of cloth was laid down, Thor carefully and gently put Lingling in without breathing.

Fortunately, after being put down, the little dumpling just turned over slightly, smacked his lips, and did not wake up.

Everyone then breathed a sigh of relief.

Following the same procedure, Huhu was placed in another cradle using the same method.

The difference is that his cradle does not have soft fabric at the bottom.

Fortunately, the little wing tiger is not picky and shows no signs of waking up.

Seeing that the two little guys were settled, everyone relaxed and started communicating frantically with their eye contact.

"What do you mean? Go back to your own homes?"

"Wait a minute, I have something to say."

"Okay, but what about Lingling? The two little guys need someone to watch over them."

In the end, Tek was left behind by Damon to look after the two little guys, while the others went to another place and began to ask Thor what he wanted to say.

Everyone stood in a dimly lit area, looked at Thor, and signaled that he could start speaking.

Thor stopped and stretched his head to observe Lingling, afraid of waking Lingling up. Even when he walked away, his voice was still very soft.

He looked at the puzzled crowd and said softly, "This morning, when I took Lingling to play in the sky, I spotted a group of suspicious human soldiers on the outskirts of the forest. They were investigating something along the way."

Everyone's eyes suddenly changed, especially Damon and Tek, who clenched their fists tightly, with fierce looks on their faces, obviously thinking of something bad.

Thor immediately looked at the two of them, his eyes soothing, and continued, "Don't be afraid, the people have been dealt with by Da Jin. Only at my signal, I let the remaining one go."

Tritton understood and whispered, "So you spent so much of the day following that man?"

Thor nodded and told everyone his discovery without any suspense. "That man was just a soldier, a private soldier of the Norton family of the Loran Empire. I saw him go to the Norton family's large manor, and he was allowed in by the guards without notifying them."

"After I asked Da Jin to drop me off, I teleported into the manor and followed that person."

"What's interesting is that he was killed and thrown out not long after he went in. His body was handed over to a man who looked like a butler to deal with."

"The man was wearing a black cloak that dragged on the ground and a mask that covered his face completely."

"What happened next?" Damon couldn't help but ask.

"Later..." Thor raised his eyes and looked at everyone, his tone a little cold: "Later, when it was getting dark, that tightly covered 'person' entered the palace of the Luolan Empire."

!!!!!!

Everyone was shocked.

Thor looked at everyone calmly and said lightly, "I didn't go to the palace with them. They seem to have increased their vigilance due to some events, and there are many guards."

At this point, Thor looked at Triton, his eyes clearly saying, "Did you do something?"

Tritton didn't hide anything. His voice was cold and emotionless as he confessed directly, "I went into that man's bedroom and wrote something. It was them who wanted to arrest my daughter."

Thor knew Triton's character; this seemed like something he would do.

He didn't mean to accuse anyone, he just said it to let everyone know about his tracking.

Triton thought for a moment and continued, "So, all you've heard so far is that the emperor of the Roland Empire is making some bad moves, but you don't know what they are specifically?"

Thor heard this and nodded with some regret.

"Yes, the man in the cloak never came out after he went in. I came back because I was afraid of wasting too much time."

Everyone felt a little regretful after hearing this and remained silent.

"However, I have cast a tracking spell on the man in the cloak, so I can continue to observe him." Seeing that their morale was not very high, Thor told them about his efforts.

Sure enough, after hearing these words, everyone became much more energetic.

Triton nodded and agreed, "Very good, at least it's a direction."

"Also, let's go there when we have time. I suspect those people are related to the undead. The mental strength of the undead should be very different from that of other races. I'll go with you to take a look."

"I'll let Tiger go with you. We orcs also want to do our part," Damon added hastily.

Tiger also nodded frantically: "Take me with you, I can fight and carry."

Aram also said: "Then let Tag go with you. Maybe some of the flaws of the undead are easier for us tree people to find."

Seeing that everyone was eager to fight, Thor nodded with satisfaction and said:

"Well, let's pick a daytime and discuss it carefully."

"Let's stop here for today. In the next two days, both of your tribes should send some people to patrol the outskirts of the forest to prevent anyone from spying. I suspect the undead have learned that we destroyed that strange magic circle, so it's always better to be cautious during this period."

Hearing Thor's words, everyone nodded.

They all stood there for a while, not knowing what to think.

Until Tyke came running over.

"Everyone, Lingling seems to be waking up!"

Everyone turned around, no longer caring about their worries, and ran towards Lingling quickly.

The sky is big, the earth is big, Lingling is the biggest!
