Chapter 54 Return to the Tree People

The view outside the window is picturesque.

Lingling sat by the window, leisurely drinking juice and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

He was so happy that he held the big crystal cup in his little hands and sipped.

The little gurgling sound is not loud, but it shows the little Lingling's leisurely and contented nature.

On the contrary, Thor went from trying seriously while sitting in a chair to trying seriously while standing up with a serious face, which was just the time it took Lingling to sneak a snack.

Hmm, Lingling didn’t eat enough for breakfast, why does she want to eat pancakes again?

Lingling heard the sound of Thor's chair moving and looked over curiously.

"Hey, uncle doesn't look right. Didn't you just say it would be fine soon?"

Lingling covered her mouth and laughed secretly with Bai Jiu in her mind.

"Lingling baby, Uncle Bai wants to teach you something. Don't be too sure about things you haven't done before, otherwise you might end up like your Uncle Thor, hahahaha."

Lingling was not so presumptuous. She just smiled secretly, her eyes narrowed into crescents and cute dimples appeared on her cheeks.

However, after laughing, the sweet little Lingling still jumped off the small stool carefully and ran towards Thor.

"Uncle~ Are you in trouble? Lingling is here to help you~" Lingling hugged Thor's long legs like a cute tiger pouncing on its prey.

Thor put down another magic stone that had shattered due to excessive elemental input, held his forehead with his hand helplessly, and said with a wry smile: "Lingling, uncle underestimated the difficulty of this. Uncle really can't master it."

Lingling leaned back and looked at Thor's frown, her focus a little off: "Uncle, don't frown, it won't look good."

Thor paused, put down his hand with amusement, squatted down and watched the little guy start acting.

"Wow, Lingling thinks uncle is ugly, and uncle is sad." As she said this, she covered her beautiful eyes with her fists and began to pretend crying.

"Ah! Uncle, don't cry. Lingling doesn't mind. Uncle is handsome, really handsome."

"How about this, Lingling helps uncle successfully learn this powerful method, so uncle won't be sad, okay?" Lingling quickly threw herself into Thor's arms and comforted him.

Thor took the opportunity to hug the sweet and soft little ball.

"Okay, then Lingling, tell me, how can you help your uncle?"

"Hmm~ Like this, uncle will input the elements first and listen to Lingling's commands." Lingling took a small heart magic stone and signaled Thor to continue the previous action.

Thor understood Lingling's movements, released Lingling, cast healing magic with one hand and purification magic with the other, and two different rays of light instantly hit the magic stone.

"Uncle, use less healing magic."

"Uncle, there are plenty of purification magic."

"Uncle, there's still too much purification magic and too little healing magic."

"Uncle, give me some more!"

"Uncle, reduce it! Yes, yes, add some more."

......

After a rather confusing period of command.

finally.

Thor successfully completed a small heart version of the Philosopher's Stone.

Lingling instantly collapsed into Thor's arms.

It’s not easy for Lingling~ her little feet are so nervous that they are grabbing the ground!

"Uncle Bai, Uncle Sol seems a little clumsy." Lingling quietly complained to Bai Jiu.

Bai Jiu smiled: ...Not finishing off the enemy was his last act of demeanor.

"Baby, it's okay. He succeeded once, and the rest will be fine."

Sure enough, after Thor succeeded in one attempt, he did not slack off immediately. Instead, he continued to try the next one based on the feeling he had just felt.

Once, twice, three times.

After three attempts, Thor finally succeeded in completing one independently.

Thor kissed Lingling's tender little face excitedly.

"Baby, you're great! Uncle succeeded. You just need to practice more!"

Thor couldn't contain his joy, so he put everything down, picked up Lingling and started spinning around.

“Chuckle, chuckle—”

"Ha ha ha ha--"

The big and the small were so happy that they forgot everything else.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and Josiah's faint voice came from outside.

"Father, can I come in?"

Thor and Lingling's spinning movements were forced to stop.

"Come in." Thor responded loudly while holding Lingling.

Josiah came in carrying a bamboo basket of wild fruits.

He nodded perfunctorily at Thor, then turned to Lingling and asked gently, "Baby, I picked some fruit for you. You can take it home and eat it tomorrow. Are you happy?"

Lingling fully expressed how happy she was through her actions.

"Muah~Thank you, Brother Josiah."

However, thinking that she would be leaving tomorrow, Lingling touched the two adults like a little adult.

"Brother, uncle, don't miss Lingling too much now that she's gone. Just miss her a little bit, otherwise Lingling might be afraid that you won't be able to eat well."

This time she is returning to the Tree People Tribe, she is going to set off back to the East Continent.

The elders must be very thoughtful.

Because Lingling hadn't been back for a long time because of her brother and uncle who knew the elves, Grandpa Blue might have cried.

Alas, what a sweet little trouble! Everyone loves Lingling so much.

The Elf King, who was in high spirits, suddenly realized that tomorrow was the date Lingling would return as agreed with the Treemen.

He glared at Josiah unhappily.

"Why did you remind me so early? My good mood has been affected."

Josiah looked back at him.

"Don't even think about getting what I can't have. I'm asking you to snatch Lingling from me."

The two elves' eyes met in the air, sparks flying.

Lingling didn't notice and continued to nag Thor and Josiah to take care of themselves, and that she would go back to visit the grandparents of the tree people and come back to see them after some time.

The two elves exchanged glances and nodded in agreement, being incredibly well-behaved.

Finally, Lingling finished her instructions.

She kicked her legs, signaling Thor to put her down.

Thor put Lingling down reluctantly.

Lingling ran under her crib, pulled out a small cart, and started picking things out.

"Then Lingling starts packing up. Lingling, think about it~"

"You have to bring this, and you have to bring that too."

“And this!”

......

The next morning, the sun shone on the earth, giving it a golden coating.

Thor held Lingling in his arms, and Josiah pulled Lingling's cart as they stood under a big tree not far from the Elf Tribe to say goodbye.

The small cart is full of things for Lingling, including food, daily necessities and toys.

Thor originally wanted to give her his own space ring to store things, but Lingling seriously said that she liked the feeling of being full, which would give her a special sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.

So Thor and Josiah found materials to make a customized cart for Lingling so that she could travel back and forth between the elves and the tree people.

And every time, the tall Amos from the tree people would come to pick up Lingling, so Lingling would never get tired pulling the cart.

The two adults and the child were still saying goodbye to each other when suddenly, Amos's excited voice came from the woods.

"Lingling, Uncle Amos is here to take you home!"
