Chapter 21 Entering the Campus

Wan Feng began to pack up his stall. When he was done, he stuffed the remaining fish into Zhu Ping's hands and said, "Here are the fish for you. You can handle them yourself."

He pulled out a steelworker's salary note from the pile of money and stuffed it into Zhu Ping's hand: "This is your wages. Wait here for a while, I'll go buy something."

Of course, what Wan Feng wanted to buy were books about people. Coincidentally, Gushan Cooperative had just received a batch of new goods. Although not much, there were only about a dozen varieties of new books.

It was a complete set of Journey to the West books, including stories like The Three Fights with the White Bone Demon and Borrowing the Palm-leaf Fan Three Times.

The previous few times Wan Feng bought books about people were mostly about wars and catching spies. He knew what children liked to read, so he only bought a few of the most diverse history books.

But he had to buy Sun Wukong's book, as this monkey was extremely popular among children.

He spent two dollars on a dozen books, and then he bought four boxes of Pechoin, two boxes of Pegasus cigarettes, a bottle of Gushan liquor, a pair of soft-soled woolen flat shoes, and two flowered scarves.

The Pechoin and red scarf were prepared for his aunt, the cigarettes and alcohol were of course for his grandfather, and the flat shoes were bought for his grandmother.

He noticed that his grandmother didn't buy new shoes for the New Year but wore cloth shoes she made herself.

Pegasus was 2.80 a box, Gushan liquor was 5.30 a bottle, and flat shoes were 6.00 a pair. All together, these things cost a little over four yuan.

After thinking about it, I bought two more pounds of cake and went home.

On the way back, he sat in the two-wheeled cart and his uncle pushed it. As they walked, the uncle and nephew chatted.

"Well! These two boxes of Pechoin and a gauze scarf are for you." Wan Feng took out two boxes of Pechoin and a floral gauze scarf from his bag and waved them in front of Zhu Ping.

"I'm a man, why are you giving me this thing?" Zhu Ping asked in confusion.

Wan Feng rolled his eyes at Zhu Ping and said, "Uncle! Did you drink too much corn porridge and your head is all mush? Is this for you?"

Zhu Ping was very confused: "Who is it for?"

Wan Feng was speechless. People like this deserve to be single.

"This is for my future aunt. How could the blacksmith's sister fall for a piece of wood like you?"

Zhu Ping was stunned for a moment and then laughed: "Why didn't I think of that?"

"You're only fit to work in a production team with your brain." Wan Feng expressed his contempt rudely.

"That's not right! How do you, a kid, know so much? Who did you learn that from?"

"Tsk! A smart person can see the scenery from the top of the mountain. I am the kind of person who can see the scenery from the top of the mountain directly."

Zhu Ping thought about it for a while and felt something was wrong.

"Your mom and dad are both honest people. How come your Wan family has produced someone as slick as you?"

"Uncle, I don't like what you said. Who are you?"

"Then you are nothing!"

"I just bought gifts for my uncles, and you think I'm nothing?"

Zhu Ping began to scratch his head: "Then you are a thing, isn't it okay?"

"What am I?"

Zhu Ping was speechless. He really couldn't deal with this nephew.

When they got home, it was lunch time. Wan Feng handed the gifts for grandpa, grandma, and aunt to everyone, and the whole family was happy.

The family was happy, and the children in the village were happy too, because Wan Feng bought new books.

But at the same time, bad news also came.

The school building of Jiangwei School has been repaired and the school will officially open on March 6, which is the 20th day of the first lunar month.

The roof of the school building collapsed due to untraceable reasons, so the start of school was postponed for a few years. Now it is finally time to start.

On the morning of March 6th, Wan Feng, dressed neatly and carrying his newly bought schoolbag, met Xicheng blacksmith at the gate.

It was Wanfeng’s grandfather who took Wanfeng to school.

Jiangwei School is located on the mountain where the Pingshan Fruit Tree Team is located, with an orchard behind it.

Wan Feng's grandfather worked in the brigade's orchard and took Wan Feng to school on the way.

To get from Wahou Team to Jiangwei School, you have to pass Waqian Team and then Shutun before going up the mountain. The one-way distance is approximately between 1,500 meters and 2,000 meters.

The principal of the school was also a descendant of the Wa family and his surname was An. Wan Feng’s mother had already greeted him before she left.

Today his grandfather sent him here and he can study here as long as he pays two dollars tuition.

When they arrived at school, Xicheng and the blacksmith went to their classes, while Wanfeng stood at the school gate, receiving strange looks from the students passing by.

A few minutes after his grandfather entered the school office, Wan Feng was called into the office and then placed in front of a teacher named Xiao.

Teacher Xiao's name is Xiao Yongcheng. His left eye is shaped like a spiral, a bit like the spinning Milky Way. When you look at someone, the focus of his two eyes seems to be off-center, giving the impression that his normal eye is looking at your face while the other is focused on something far away.

In the late 1970s, there was a C County movie called "The Invisible Front". Some people nicknamed Xiao Yongcheng "The Invisible Horizon" based on the characteristics of his eyes.

All of this is consistent with the fragments in Wan Feng's memory.

This guy is a gossip and likes to meddle in other people's business, so he is hated by all his classmates. They don't just hate him a little, they hate him very much.

Moreover, he does not discriminate between men and women, even girls hate him. He is really a weird teacher.

Wan Feng was brought into the fifth grade class and assigned to the third empty seat on the left. His deskmate was a guy named Yuan Yimin from the Wahou team.

Although Yuan Yimin and Wan Feng were in the same team, they had never had any interaction. He had never even rented a book from Wan Feng.
