Nanwan Group itself also has an engine factory.
Two or three years ago, when Hongya Power stopped producing gasoline engines, the engines used in Nanwan micro-cars were all produced by Nanwan Group itself.
Now, due to the need, Nanwan Engine is also starting to expand its scale and production capacity.
In addition to increasing the production of the engine plant in Jiangwei, a new plant with an annual production capacity of 500,000 engines of various types has also been selected and construction has begun in the Black Reef Development Zone.
The plant is expected to be put into operation in two years. In addition to supplying the engines to the group, the remaining engines will be sold to other companies.
The news that Nanwan Group had opened its engine spread throughout China as if overnight.
A few days later, the front door of Nanwan Group was surrounded by automobile manufacturers from all over the country.
Some of these car manufacturers have already designed their cars and are just waiting for the engines, while others have not even started designing them yet.
But this does not affect their desire to buy engines. In their eyes, having an engine means having a car, so the desire to buy is unprecedentedly high.
The sales department is overwhelmed.
The sales department was busy with Guan Hai and was not idle either.
This is a critical moment for the establishment of the Nanwan Instrument brand.
This guy brought a few people from Nanwan Instruments to build relationships with these manufacturers from all over the country.
"I'm not exaggerating when I say that Nanwan Instruments is now the most advanced manufacturer of various assembly lines in China. We can even compete with foreign companies internationally. Don't believe me? All the production lines for our Nanwan Group products, from heavy trucks and forklifts to electronic components, are built by us. That's our strength."
"Your factory wants to produce complete vehicles? No problem! Just provide us with your complete vehicle data, and we'll take care of the design, construction, and installation. How much does it cost? That depends on what you want, a semi-mechanized or fully automated flexible production line. The specific price ranges from 30,000 to 50 million yuan. This is much cheaper than what foreigners do. For example, if the foreigners spend hundreds of millions just on this process, forget it, and it's a waste of the country's foreign exchange."
"Your company wants to produce minivans? Have you seen the light of happiness in Nanwan? We designed and built the production line. Relatively speaking, minivan production lines are relatively cheap to build. Since you don't have sufficient funds, I recommend building a semi-automated line for 22 million! If that's still too expensive, you can go with a purely manual assembly line. That's cheaper, 10 million for design, construction, and installation."
Guan Hai fooled whoever he could get his hands on, and he also invited some people to visit Nanwan Instruments and see the photos and models of the various assembly lines built by Nanwan Instruments in the product showroom of Nanwan Instruments.
Visitors were a little stunned when they saw the display photos and models.
What did Nanwan Instruments do?
We have everything from the initial manual assembly line to the fully automatic flexible line.
Guan Hai was not bragging. Here there is a semi-automatic production line for forklifts produced for the Wahou Inna River Machinery Factory, and various semi-automatic and fully automatic production lines for Nanwan trucks and motorcycles.
How come there is a small assembly line here for making toys and plastic products?
This is really a thing of the past.
Not to mention that after visiting Nanwan Instruments, Guan Hai actually got several promises out of them.
Several interested manufacturers have signed letters of intent to cooperate, promising that once the factory is officially put into operation, they will allow Nanwan Instruments to build the production line.
Although there are many people buying engines, Nanwan can only arrange a supply of 150,000 units even if it opens up the supply, which is a typical case of too many wolves and too little meat.
How these engines are distributed is the responsibility of the sales department, not the engine R&D department.
The gasoline engine development department is now working at full capacity to design and test electronic fuel injection engines and engines larger than 2.0L.
Nanwan Automobile's diesel engine department has officially launched a project to develop a 2.0T turbocharged engine.
The design department has started designing the SUV in accordance with Wan Feng's instructions.
The car model is naturally decided by the boss.
This is easy. Wan Feng just brought the Haval H6. Does it still need designing?
They all have mature appearances, so there is no need to build a wind tunnel.
The design department’s next task is to stuff things in.
The initial design is to be equipped with two models: a 2.0L gasoline engine and a 2.0T diesel engine, and also two models with 6MT and AT automatic transmission.
Nanwan Group's current automatic transmissions are all AT type, that is, hydromechanical transmissions, which is also a relatively mature series that Nanwan can produce on its own.
The advantages of an AT gearbox are that it does not require a clutch to shift gears, has few gear positions, large gear changes, smooth connections, and is easy to operate.
Combining the above advantages, both the driver and the passengers will feel very comfortable.
However, this type of gearbox has many disadvantages: it responds slowly to speed changes, is fuel-efficient and uneconomical, has low transmission efficiency and a limited torque range; and its structure is complex and difficult to repair.
Furthermore, it cannot be started by pushing or towing. If the vehicle breaks down, the drive wheels must be lifted off the ground when towing to protect the automatic transmission gears from damage.
Therefore, the hydromechanical transmission is only a transitional type for Nanwan Group. The future development direction will naturally be the electronically controlled mechanical automatic transmission AMT and the dual-clutch automatic transmission DCT.
However, this requires investment of manpower and material resources in research and development, and it is estimated that it will take several years or even more than ten years to achieve its realization.
For now, we will use mature technology and take it one step at a time.
The SUV concept and model are already in place, and now it depends on when the two 2.0 engines can be successful.
Wan Feng's prediction is that in three years, by 2000 when China officially joins the WTO, this car will be on the market.
The sales and design departments are busy, and the production department is also busy.
As of mid-April, Qingfeng sedans had achieved their sales target of 30,000 units and are moving towards their target of 514,000 units.
However, there is little hope of achieving this. There are not many days left until May Day, and it is impossible to expect an assembly line to produce 10,000 vehicles in ten days or so.
Compared with the Panda and pickup truck, Qingfeng is a real sedan, and a three-box one at that.
Chinese people like three-box cars much more than two-box cars, so Qingfeng won the favor of Chinese people as soon as it was launched on the market with its super beautiful model.
Moreover, the low-end version is priced at more than 70,000 yuan, which is even more affordable.
Therefore, the car's sales speed has far exceeded that of the Panda since its launch, and it has been in a situation where supply exceeds demand.
After the pickup truck was moved out, the second upgraded production line is being laid out in the vacant workshop, and the new line is expected to start production in July.
While others were busy as hell, Boss Wan was leisurely drinking tea in his office.
But he was not fighting with tea alone. There were two important guests in front of him who were drinking tea and chatting with him.
