Chapter 243: I Just Disgust You

The main job of the carpenters in the brigade is to repair and make carriage sheds, plows and the like. Of course, when they are free, they also take on some work making boxes and cabinets.

"I bought a piece of fiberboard and want to make a box this big. How much work does it take for you to make one?"

Wan Feng compared and measured the size.

Wang He, the son of the Wang family, came over and asked, "What size fiberboard do you need? What kind of box do you want to make?"

"It's made of fiberboard, a foot long, ten centimeters thick, and twenty centimeters high. The exact design will be ready tonight."

Wang He calculated: "Fifty cents each, I guess."

Very fair price.

"Then I'll have the brigade's tractor bring it to me tomorrow. You can see how many you can make with that piece of fiberboard. Make as many as you can."

Just as he got to this point, he heard Zhang Hai's voice from outside: "Where did Ji Diao go?"

Wan Feng quickly ran out of the carpentry shop and saw Zhang Hai standing in front of the brigade office, looking around blankly.

"Why are you running around like that? The brigade has agreed, and Old Hong from the radio station knows about it too. Just go find him."

Wan Feng was extremely happy and turned around and ran towards the radio station.

The brigade's radio station was in a room diagonally opposite the supply and marketing cooperative, right next to the gate.

"Brother Feng!"

As Wan Feng ran to the gate, he heard a baby voice. Turning around, he saw Xu Meilin holding the gate of the brigade with one hand, with a finger in her mouth and her head tilted to look at her.

Wan Feng slammed on the brakes and beckoned her, "Come here!"

Xu Meilin ran over happily, with two pigtails dangling behind her head.

"Didn't I tell you a thousand times not to put your fingers in your mouth? Why can't you forget it?" Wan Feng grabbed Xu Meilin's hand that was in her mouth and slapped her palm twice.

“Chuckle!”

It was so shocking that I actually laughed.

"Have you spent the money I gave you last time?"

Xu Meilin reached into her pocket with a dirty hand and grabbed a five-cent note: "Return Ying"

"No one wants it?"

"My mother gave it to her, but she saved it for me and I didn't give it to her."

"Yes! She is lying to you. If you give it to her, don't even think about taking it back. Hold her in your arms when you go to sleep at night, and I will give you another piece."

Wan Feng took out a piece of money from his pocket and stuffed it into Xu Meilin's pocket.

Xu Meilin's smile is as beautiful as a flower.

"Brother has something to do. I won't play with you anymore. Let's go home."

"Um!"

Watching Xu Meilin's back disappear at the brigade gate, Wan Feng took a deep breath, shook his head, turned and walked into the brigade broadcasting room.

Lao Hong is a broadcaster of the Jiangwei Brigade. He has been doing this job almost all his life. His house is on the same side as Xu Bin's, and he will live right behind Wan Feng's house in the future.

Lao Hong is sitting in front of the radio station debugging the machine. He works every day from 5 to 7 in the morning, 11 to 1 in the afternoon, and 5 to 5 in the evening. He rests the rest of the time.

After Wan Feng entered the house, Lao Hong pointed to a pile of junk in the corner and said, "It's all there, the replaced ones and the damaged ones. Go find them yourself."

Wan Fenghuyou squatted in the corner and searched around. He first found a few radio boxes and checked to see if the paper cones of the speakers were damaged. He put aside the ones that were not damaged.

Next up is the phonograph.

There were three gramophones scattered about here. The equipment in the radio station was all sent by the county cultural center. They were supposed to be recycled, but for some reason they weren't taken away.

Luck was on Wan Feng's side again.

The Commune Cultural Station had recently undergone an equipment replacement. The phonograph with a speaker on top had been eliminated. The new phonograph had the curved speaker removed and the wiring was changed, so one of the eliminated devices was still intact.

After testing, Wan Feng picked out the intact phonograph. All he had to do when he got home was to clean it thoroughly, and then he could use it directly.

In the end, Wan Feng asked for three records, but there was nothing good on them, just folk songs.

This trip can be a fruitful one.

Zhang Hai took Wan Feng directly to Luan Feng's house.

When Wan Feng walked into the room carrying the gramophone, Luan Feng rushed out with joy and almost gave him a bear hug.

"Don't come near me, it's all dusty. This needs cleaning. Get the sewing machine tools out."

Luan Feng quickly went back to get the tools, and stopped working. She just watched Wan Feng tinkering in the yard. She didn't expect that Wan Feng could also tinker with these things. She thought she had made a profit again.

She really wanted to count on her fingers how many times she had earned this.

Wan Feng almost disassembled the phonograph into parts, and cleaned each component one by one with a brush used to clean a sewing machine, causing a lot of dust to fly.

"Can you put it back on?" Luan Feng asked worriedly.

"Of course I can. If I can tear it down, I can definitely put it back together. If I can only tear it down but can't put it back together, that would be a waste of money."

"Huh! Are you mocking me?"

A strange thing appeared, and there are still some people who can get a bargain.

"Fortunately, you still have self-awareness. You are the kind of person who can take things apart but can't put them back together."

"Don't be so proud, I'll tear you apart later."

"Go away, stay away from me, it's all dust."

It took about half an hour, and the phonograph was finally cleaned and sparkled.

There wasn't even a socket in Luan Feng's room, so Wan Feng went to the brick factory and asked for an old-fashioned black socket to connect to Ling.

"The spring water in the frontier is clear and pure, and the songs in the frontier warm the heart, warm the heart..."

The popular theme song from the movie "Black Triangle" sounded, and Luan Feng and Jiang Min clapped their hands together.

Wan Feng didn't have time to enjoy the music. He found a piece of paper and lay on the kang to draw.

Since Wan Feng often wrote and drew on the kang, Luan Feng didn't care.

Wan Feng used a ruler to measure clothes to draw a main view of about one foot long and twenty centimeters. He drew a slightly rectangular frame in the middle and a circle on each side.

I picked it up and looked at it from left to right.

"What are you drawing?" Luan Feng finally realized that what Wan Fengjin drew seemed to have nothing to do with clothes.

"nice one."

"What is the good stuff?"

"I won't tell you! I'm afraid you'll tell others about it."

I drew a top view next to the main view, but then I thought the left and right views were useless so I didn't draw them. Finally, I drew a rear view.

In a blink of an eye, it was almost five o'clock. Those who came to get work and those who were working had all left, leaving only Wan Feng, Luan Feng and Jiang Min in the room.

"I start school tomorrow and can't come any later."

Luan Feng didn't know whether it was true or not, and tears welled up in her eyes: "Then what should I do?"

"What to do?"

"What if I miss you?"

"Wow!" Jiang Min, who was working on the sewing machine, exclaimed.

"Can you two go to the inner room? You're making me sick by being so sticky!" Jiang Min roared.

"F*ck! You've turned bad, really!"

Wan Feng shook his head helplessly, and Luan Feng laughed: "It's just to disgust you!"
