"Swish... swish..."
The moment the tiny paws stepped out, both Tiger Mom and Courage's eyes were fixed on it.
The weasel was startled and immediately took off running!
No sooner said than done, courage rushed over in a flash!
Given his current speed, he should have caught up easily.
Unexpectedly, this weasel also possessed speed-based abilities. The cute white beast seemed to fly across the snow, nimbly and swiftly escaping.
Courage tries to catch up, but always falls just short.
The weasel was so terrified by the tiger's relentless pursuit that it panicked and ran away without thinking.
Since it gained its speed ability, it has never been chased so closely by any other animal!
Courage shared similar thoughts. Since acquiring the speed ability, when had it ever been outpaced by any other animal?!
Moreover, its speed ability has now broken through to level two, and it has been doing very well these past few days. Who would have thought that it would be defeated by a small beast?
At this moment, Courage's competitive spirit was ignited.
It has to catch the little thing in front of it!
Sensing the hostile gaze coming straight at it from behind, the weasel's tail bristled in fright, and it ran away even faster on all fours.
The mother tiger followed behind, growling softly to make Courage stop. When she realized it was just a small animal, she was relieved and naturally didn't want to waste her energy on prey that would only yield a couple of bites.
But little did it know that its courage was spurred on by the weasel's speed, and it was determined not to give up until it caught its opponent.
In the chase, both of them got a little carried away, the snow scattering under their feet making a rustling sound. A glint flashed in Yongqi's eyes, and he suddenly lunged forward with all his might!
"Squeak!!" The fluffy white little beast cried out in fright when it was pinned down by the tiger's claws.
It struggled desperately, trying to escape the tiger's claws.
However, after struggling for a moment, the snow layer beneath him suddenly collapsed with a loud crash.
The smug look in his eyes, which had just appeared, quickly turned into surprise and bewilderment.
"Awooo!!"
"Squeak!!!"
Two panicked cries rang out along with the collapsing snow. Tiger Mom looked at the dark hole, leaped in, and jumped in after her.
"squeak--!"
The hole was very large, and the passageway was extremely deep.
The weasel fell straight down and was hit hard. If its physical attributes hadn't increased several times after breaking through to become a level two spirit beast, the weasel would have died on the spot from that fall.
But the weasel only let out a painful cry before deftly flipping over and quickly leaving.
Courage was larger than the weasel and grabbed onto a withered vine on the cave wall to slow its descent.
But having only managed to grab the tip of a withered vine, the little tiger soon followed in the weasel's footsteps, falling to the bottom of the cave with a thud.
Courage had just stood up and shaken his fur when he saw the tiger mother slide down with one of her paws hooked on a thick bundle of vines.
The little tiger looked at the tough vines with some frustration. If it were bigger, it could have grabbed all the vines and wouldn't have ended up only holding onto a withered vine at the tip.
Although I wasn't injured from falling from that height, it still hurt a lot.
When the tiger mother saw that her cub had been hurt from the fall, she immediately licked Courage's head to comfort him.
Looking at the dark cave, Tiger Mom felt somewhat helpless. She had finally managed to leave through the underground river's rocky passage, and now, just a few days later, she was back underground...
Courage didn't have a good impression of the burrow either, mainly because his previous experience with it was too terrible.
Since they'd already fallen in, Tiger Mom and Courage, no matter how heartbroken they were, could only resign themselves to their fate and try to find a way out.
After walking fifty meters along the cave passage, some faint light appeared ahead.
Upon seeing the light, Tiger Mom and Courage's eyes lit up simultaneously.
The two, one big and one small, walked quickly forward, and a small cave appeared before them. This wasn't the exit, and Tiger Mom and Courage sighed in disappointment.
The faint light they saw was not from the sky, but from several huge fluorite stones on the cave walls. The fluorite stones emitted a faint glow, and because they were large enough, they illuminated the cave very clearly.
Of course, whether or not this light is present has no impact on Courage and Tiger Mom.
"Tick-tock".
A tiny sound of water droplets bursting open caught Tiger Mom's attention.
The tiger mother carefully approached the source of the sound step by step with her three paws, and a strange little grass came into her view.
A small blade of grass was growing on the cave wall five feet above the ground, and the dripping sound was coming from there.
The grass leaves were like jade, with a total of 6 leaves. They were all emerald green and flawless, shimmering with a faint light. Although they did not have the familiar fragrance, Tiger Mom and Courage could tell that this was no ordinary plant.
Six blades of grass surround a red flower bud, which is half-open and not yet fully bloomed.
However, one can still clearly see the sap slowly seeping out of the flower bud.
"Smack..."
A sound of licking liquid suddenly rang out.
Tiger Mom looked down and saw Courage licking a small puddle, and he was licking harder and harder, even pressing his ears hard against the top of his head.
The tiger mother didn't stop her cubs; she smelled a faint, familiar scent—it was definitely something good.
Looking up at the flower buds again, I saw that a little bit of nectar had already gathered at the edge of the petals. I guessed that after a while, another full drop of nectar would fall. Judging from the position, the nectar must have dripped into the stone pit below.
With a couple of quick licks, the little tiger cleaned up the puddle of nectar. When it looked up, it realized it had eaten all the good food.
The little tiger lowered its head in great annoyance, looking exactly like a little cub who had made a mistake and was waiting to be scolded.
