Chapter 122 A Long and Arduous Journey

A snow-white Far Eastern leopard was seen biting a deer's neck tightly, the bright red blood was extremely glaring, and the deer's faint breath had been blown away by the wind and snow.

The red deer leader watched the hunter before it with extreme vigilance, knowing that the crisis was not over yet!

If this Far Eastern leopard was simply hunting, then it had already succeeded and should have left immediately or eaten its food on the spot.

But the Far East Leopard doesn't have one!

Its greedy eyes were fixed on him!

It's coveting its own flesh and blood!

This realization caused the red deer leader to let out a cry of alarm and anger. It was indeed a herbivore, and had always been oppressed by predators.

But now, it has the ability to compete with it!

The male elk raised its front hooves, assuming an attack posture towards the Amur leopard, showing that it was no longer afraid of these predators.

A hint of wariness flashed in the Far Eastern Leopard's eyes. Although it coveted the flesh and blood of the two spirit beast deer, it was still quite a challenge to fight two against one.

The Far Eastern leopard watched the two red deer quietly, then finally looked away and dragged the deer away.

Even if one of the deer shows signs of retreat, it will not give up the opportunity to attack.

But the red deer's attitude made it waver. The fact that it could face it without fear shows that these two red deer had never suffered a loss at the hands of predators after becoming spirit beasts.

In other words, these two red deer are quite strong, and their chances of winning in a head-on confrontation are slim.

Along the way, the Far East Leopard has seen many herbivorous creatures. Now it no longer underestimates its former prey, such as the buffalo leader, the Blue Ox, which is an opponent it can never defeat.

Seeing the Far Eastern leopard leave, the elk leader's tense body gradually relaxed. It wasn't that it wasn't angry or didn't want to seriously injure or kill the Far Eastern leopard, but rather that it dared not take the risk.

The male stag snorted, its eyes blazing with fury as it looked at the blood on the snow, but it did not give chase.

It knew that the entire tribe was now under their protection, and if anything went wrong, the tribe would be destroyed.

Moreover, this Far Eastern leopard hunted a moose, not a red deer, so although it was angry, it was not sad.

The red deer leader nuzzled its back, then turned and walked toward the herd of deer not far away; they needed to continue their journey.

The deer herd did not go far; they stopped when they were far enough away from danger. Without the two spirit deer leading the way, they could not have gone very far.

With the return of the two white red deer, the herd of deer lined up in perfect unison, with the red deer closely following in the lead group, followed by elk, sika deer, and other deer species.

The young fawn lay obediently in the animal skin bag, while the adult fawns took turns carrying it.

Although fawns can run soon after birth, the current environment, with its deep snow, makes it impossible for fawns to walk alone.

Seeing that the crisis was over, the chipmunk skillfully ran on the backs of the deer, then darted into the deer's fur pouch.

This bag was the one Lin Qian had used to carry the fish. The chipmunk had excellent taste, bringing along everything useful.

When the little deer saw its familiar friends, it happily let out a "yoyo".

The red deer are used to this; they can handle the weight of an extra chipmunk.

"Squeak squeak".

The chipmunk rubbed against the fawn's neck; the little guy was quite warm.

Winter mornings are always hazy, with the soft light of dawn casting a gentle glow, making the pristine white snowscape appear tender and beautiful.

The blizzard that had raged for two days and two nights subsided. The storm was gone, and the snowflakes were sparse, as if the heavy snowfall was nearing its end.

As the blizzard subsided, the golden eagles eagerly spread their wings and took flight, letting out excited cries in the dawn.

The male golden eagle took a deep look toward the canyon, then flapped its wings and led the flock away. They had not eaten for three days and had to find food as soon as possible!

Although the tiger's intentions are still unknown, after two days of consideration, the male golden eagle can confirm that the tiger has no malicious intent.

Thinking of the tiger cub, the golden eagle's sharp eyes deepened.

"Caw—!" The female golden eagle cried out anxiously as she watched her mate glancing back at the canyon from time to time.

It had been drowsy for the past two days, spending most of its time in deep sleep. Now, it had only recovered about 80% of its energy. Even its not-so-sharp mind had come to understand how terrifying the tiger was.

In the past, the female golden eagle was not afraid of tigers as they fought independently. However, this injury has left a deep scar on her, and she no longer wants to provoke tigers.

The male golden eagle knew his wife was truly frightened this time, so it let out a soft cry to soothe her, then quickly gathered its thoughts and flew away into the distance.

Tiger Dad snorted angrily when he heard the golden eagle's cry. These big birds were still alive!

I haven't heard from the golden eagles for the past two days, and I thought the flock had frozen to death in the blizzard.

Although he let the golden eagles go, Tiger Dad was still dissatisfied with the eagle flock. No one likes to provoke their opponent, especially since Tiger Dad was injured.

The tigress sensed that her mate was in a bad mood, and it seemed that their friendly relationship had a long way to go!

Seeing her cub's dejected look, the tiger mother licked his droopy head with her tongue. Then she rubbed against the tiger father, offering gentle comfort.

Courage had long forgotten about the golden eagle herd; it was happily herding the animal caravan through the canyon, rummaging through the snow in search of plants.

These past two days, the little guy has been chasing after the herds of animals in and out every day, having a great time, and has become a veritable herding tiger.

Amazingly, this little guy could remember the entire herd perfectly while chasing after them, and he never missed a single one when he returned. So, the task of guarding the herd was entirely taken care of by Courageous Tiger.
