Chapter 124 Climbing the Snow Mountain

The Far Eastern leopard revealed its long, narrow canines, which could already be considered a pair of fangs. The tips of the teeth gleamed and were extremely sharp.

"Roar!" The Far East Leopard roared angrily, then turned and left without hesitation.

The full-force lightning attack had already depleted a significant portion of its spiritual power, and now, with two against one, it had no chance of winning.

Although the Far Eastern leopard covets the flesh and blood of the red deer, it is not stupid. As the living environment becomes more and more difficult, these wild beasts become more cautious and cunning, and they will do everything they can to survive.

The Far Eastern leopard ran towards the towering snow-capped mountain, abandoning its plan to continue following the deer herd.

This sneak attack exposed its special ability, making future sneak attacks much more difficult.

Knowing that the other party had two spirit beasts, the Far East Leopard still followed and ambushed them, which shows that it was confident enough in its own abilities.

And this confidence largely comes from the electric abilities on its claws.

But now, the female red deer's special ability forces it to give up. The female red deer can eliminate the paralyzing effect of lightning power. Without this advantage, it is impossible for it to successfully hunt these two red deer.

Only after the Amur leopards disappeared into the distance did the tense atmosphere among the deer herd gradually ease.

The two mythical red deer breathed a sigh of relief. They were confident that they could protect themselves or even fight off the Far Eastern leopard, but it would be difficult to protect the herd.

The cunning and patience of the Far Eastern leopard were too unsettling for the deer herd; if such a ferocious beast continued to follow them, the deer herd would not have peace.

The chipmunk secretly watched the direction the Far Eastern leopard had left, then patted its belly with its little paws.

That scared the mouse to death!

"Oh." The little deer nudged the chipmunk with its head, its wet black eyes filled with a hint of confusion.

The chipmunk brushed its fluffy tail and rubbed its head against the fawn's.

"Squeak." Goodness, it's alright now.

The animal skin bags began to sway again, and the deer herd set off once more.

This time, however, the deer herd no longer headed straight south, but instead veered off course and headed towards that mysterious snow-capped mountain.

...

At the foot of the snow-capped mountain.

The ground was covered with snow, but the straight trees were as lush as in summer, with thick snow pressing down on their tops, unlike the bare branches elsewhere which were covered with icicles.

Every now and then a strong wind blows by, sweeping the sparse trees and clearing the snow from the treetops.

A young serow followed its mother, happily prying away at the snow and eating the lush green plants it found.

If you look closely, you'll find that the snow in this forest is much looser because the plants under the snow are very lush, and many new branches and leaves have already quietly sprouted from the white snow.

The female ibex, now covered in new fur, would occasionally raise her head, alert to the movements around her, but the sight of her kind in the vicinity gradually reassured her.

Therefore, it is not as vigilant and cautious as before. The abundant and tender food has made it immersed in the joy of eating, forgetting the cruelty of survival in the wild.

This was a herd of animals that had reached the foot of the snow-capped mountain last night. Faced with this abundant food environment, the huge herd quickly disintegrated and resumed its state of "each surviving on its own".

This area was occupied by a herd of ibex, dozens of which were rummaging through the snow, making quite a commotion. The rustling sounds and the cold wind combined to create a rustling effect.

Suddenly, a dark figure leaped past.

"Ooh!" The female serow, who was chewing on branches and leaves, struggled in panic, trying to escape the predator's claws and teeth.

Unfortunately, it ultimately lost its life.

A male tiger licked the warm snow with delight; it hadn't caught such a large prey in a long time.

The little antelope stood there dumbfounded, its tiny head seemingly not yet able to process what was happening.

Its wet, bewildered eyes stared blankly as its mother struggled and thrashed about, her throat crushed by the colorful figure after a desperate struggle. She lay helplessly on the snow, slowly losing her life.

"hold head high!"

Not far away, another serow was also killed by a tiger.

That was another male tiger, which eagerly tore open the antelope's belly and began to eat.

The sudden change threw the herd into chaos. The panicked fleeing finally awakened the little ibex's instincts. Helpless and frantic, it followed the herd, running away from the dangerous area.

The two male tigers paid no attention to the movement of the herd of ibex. They ate their food contentedly and then hurriedly headed towards the snow-capped mountains.

The journey must have been quite bumpy, otherwise they wouldn't have been so eager to eat; they must have been extremely hungry.

They look like two brothers, but they are not highly evolved and seem to have only recently become spirit beasts.

It seems that even the most unruly and ferocious tiger does not always have an easy time amidst these great changes.

Every living being has a different destiny.

After their initial panic, the ibex quickly resumed rummaging through the snow to feed, something they were already very familiar with.

The tiger's hunting and departure caused little ripple, and the herbivores were used to it.

When faced with predators, most herbivores can only rely on luck.

Since arriving at the foot of the snow-capped mountain, ordinary animals have almost stopped moving forward.

As ordinary beasts, they cannot perceive the special nature of the snow-capped mountains like spirit beasts.

Although there are very few trees in the area near the snow-capped mountains, the surface vegetation is very lush, and herbivores have made this place their new home.

Not only the herds of serows, but the entire area at the foot of the snow-capped mountains is a feast for animals. They are delighted to have found food, and even happier to have a safe place to live.

The spirit beasts, having reached the foot of the mountain, had already rushed up the mountain without stopping, and even the abundance of prey could not keep them lingering for long.
