Upon entering the cave, Lin Qian felt a sudden dizziness and darkness before his eyes. When he regained his senses, he found himself in an unfamiliar place.
"Awooo!!!" The anxious roar of the tiger echoed in all directions, but there was no response.
Lin Qian's heart sank. It's over, they've been separated!
It's that door!
That door has a teleportation function!
They just passed through that stone gate!
Lin Qian wasn't too worried about the three big cats; what worried him most was courage.
But there's nothing that can be done right now, since even the chipmunk on his body has been taken away.
We can only try to find a way out first, and then think about how to reunite with a tiger.
The chipmunk stared blankly at the empty area in front of it, feeling utterly miserable.
"Squeak?" Tiger King?
After looking around, the chipmunk climbed onto a tall statue, its little eyes instantly dimming.
What happened? How come the person I just managed to latch onto has vanished again?!
The chipmunk sadly took out a pine cone and began to gnaw on it vigorously.
What a disaster!
That's terrible!
After finishing a pine cone, the chipmunk looked ahead, hesitated for a moment, and then decided to go ahead.
It smelled a fragrance coming from the front; it was very fragrant, but not overpowering, and even a trace of it made its whole body feel incredibly comfortable.
Lin Qian was also walking forward when he smelled the fragrance of the mutated plant. The fragrance was not strong, but he had a feeling that this plant was better than the ones he had encountered before!
Soon, the little tiger arrived at a somewhat deserted building.
The remaining structure is all stone, and judging from the broken gate, the original building must have been enormous.
It doesn't quite resemble a gate. There seems to be a plaque in the middle of this stone archway, but that spot is now empty, with only the broken corners vaguely showing the shape of the plaque in the middle. As for the writing, it's completely gone.
However, the simple and unadorned patterns carved on the archway pillars still caught Lin Qian's attention. These patterns were not carved in a fine manner, but they had an indescribable feeling.
Lin Qian carefully stood in place and observed for a while, even scanning the area cautiously with his spiritual sense twice. After still finding nothing, he gave up and chose to step inside.
Tiger's paw silently stepped into this dilapidated area of buildings that had been in ruins for who knows how many years. Lin Qian tensed his muscles, ready to deal with any unexpected situation at any time.
Walking through the dilapidated stone archway, you are greeted by a wide and desolate open space. The open space is covered with rubble and overgrown with weeds, but you can still vaguely make out that it was a square or similar area.
In the very center of the square is a huge stone pedestal, but the statue on it has disappeared. However, judging from the pedestal, the statue must have been quite large.
Thick white fog surrounded the square, obscuring the view, but behind it, a vague building could be seen, seemingly a large hall.
Lin Qian looked in the direction of the main hall and suddenly felt a sense of urgency, along with a strange thrill. There was something there that attracted him!
Tiger Paw unknowingly stepped into the square, and with a "whoosh," a huge statue was erected on the base in the center of the square!
Lin Qian snapped back to reality, breaking out in a cold sweat.
He... he was actually bewitched!
Ever since he resisted the female golden eagle's hypnotic ability, Lin Qian knew that his spiritual sense could protect his mind from harm, but he never expected to fall for it here without realizing it! He was careless!
The little tiger looked at the suddenly appearing statue with extreme vigilance, unaware that he had merely triggered the mechanism that raised the statue.
Besides, that base wasn't a lifting platform. When he observed it earlier, it was just a large, long-abandoned rock with obvious moss and signs of decay.
But now, the entire base is brand new, as if it was just carved and placed here. There isn't even a single blade of grass, let alone moss!
What Lin Qian feared most was the monstrous statue carved from some unknown stone. The statue was a beast that resembled both a fox and a lion.
To be precise, it is a beast with the head of a fox and the body of a lion, but its body is covered in scales instead of fur, making it look extremely strange.
What Lin Qian cared about most was that the ferocious beast's body seemed real, and its dark eyes made him feel cold just by looking at them.
The statue was made with such exquisite detail that even the gaps between the scales could be clearly seen. Lin Qian even felt that if he got any closer, he could see the muscles beneath the scales.
Suddenly, Lin Qian froze. He saw the statue's eyes move!
Is the statue alive?!
The thought popped into Lin Qian's head uncontrollably, and he was startled. He immediately retreated to the edge of the square, only to find that he couldn't get out!
This square has been blocked by an invisible barrier!
"Roar!" A tremendous roar suddenly resounded, and the statue on the pedestal truly came to life!
Lin Qian was shocked and thought it was just scrambled eggs!
But there's no time to think about anything now; it seems the only way to leave is to defeat this strange beast.
Lin Qian crouched low warily, his tiger-like eyes fixed on the statue. This was an open area, so his ambush and sneak attack skills were useless here; he had no choice but to face the enemy head-on!
"roar--!"
The beast came to life, standing on its pedestal and roaring as if expressing some kind of joy.
Lin Qian knew that it was freedom, the joy of regaining freedom!
This is a strange beast that has been imprisoned and sealed away!
The beast's gaze slowly turned to the tiger cub at the edge of the plaza. Its cold gaze was devoid of any warmth, yet it carried an intense bloodlust and excitement.
Lin Qian's heart skipped a beat; it was actually a beast without reason!
