The moon, silently watching the night scene, gradually tilted, and its reflection under the moonlight began to lengthen.
Lin Qian stared blankly at the devastated ruins.
The city before us can no longer be called a city.
Collapsed buildings are everywhere, covered with lush green plants. The ruins of the city, which has lost its lush appearance, are now filled with vibrant and abundant plants.
Although he had been gone for less than a year, Lin Qian felt as if he had lived through another world.
Perhaps it was because this world was not his former home that he felt no sadness.
After the massive earthquake, Lin Qian knew that human cities must have been destroyed. Even though he had a premonition, he was still somewhat stunned when he actually saw such a desolate scene.
After all, in his impression and memory, the bustling and prosperous atmosphere of human cities was a fixed image, and the scene before him could only be seen in movies and TV shows...
"Aww?" Brother, shall we go in or not?
Courage circled around Lin Qian twice, and the tiger cub grew a little impatient.
This was the first time Courage had ever seen a human city. From its brother and the Golden Eagles' descriptions, it gained some understanding of humans, but this understanding was not clear. It only knew that humans were dangerous and threatening animals.
This understanding came from Lin Qian and Jin Diao. The Courageous Tiger was unaware of the combat capabilities of humans, so its understanding of humans was very vague under these circumstances.
Aside from the concept of danger, Courage knew nothing else about humans; it could not understand a creature it had never encountered before through Lin Qian and Jin Diao's retelling.
Although there were human participants on the snowy mountain, the twenty or thirty humans mixed in with the hundreds of beasts seemed to be non-existent. Courage never encountered any humans, at most only glancing at them occasionally.
The only time they came into close contact was when Lin Qian and his companions encountered dead refugees in a snowdrift when they left their home.
Therefore, Qiong was very much looking forward to coming to the city, where it could answer its questions and see for itself the difference between humans and them.
But now, looking at the ruins covered in plants, the little tiger cub was instantly disappointed.
It felt that this place was no different from the forest, except that there were more stones, they were taller, and they were a bit strange.
But since he was already there, he still wanted to go in and explore. He was always very curious, and naturally, he was interested in exploring new places.
When they arrived at their destination, Lin Qian stopped moving and stood there blankly, which made the little tiger a little impatient.
But seeing that Lin Qian didn't move, the tiger cub didn't dare to run in on his own, afraid of getting beaten up.
Oh dear, stepmother is still watching! You can run away, but you can't hide. Tiger cubs have no choice but to behave.
Lin Qian was only momentarily stunned, but immediately snapped back to reality upon hearing Yongqi's voice.
"Awooo, awooo." Let's go, everyone be careful, there might be other mutated beasts.
Although everyone's fighting ability is guaranteed, it's always better to be cautious than to err on the side of caution.
Don't be fooled by the fact that we are all spirit beasts. If we get injured, we will suffer just as much. We still live in the survival mode of wild beasts and do not have medical facilities.
Therefore, Lin Qian has always been very cautious, and he absolutely does not want to get injured. This is not only a racial talent but also a survival need.
With a flick of courage, the tiger head roared and charged in, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
The tigress roared in the direction of Courage, signaling her cubs to stay calm and be careful.
There was no way around it; courage had run too fast. A distant roar echoed in response; the little guy had clearly already gone far away.
The male golden eagle let out a cry and flew towards the city with its companions. It circled over the city for a while to make sure there were no dangerous targets.
The four golden pheasants found a good vantage point and landed.
They can't do much searching through the ruins, so their assigned task is to keep watch.
After all, the way the Golden Carvers walk is too restrictive, and apart from Lin Qian, the Golden Carvers don't recognize salt at all...
Lin Qian and his stepmother slowly walked into the ruins. The chipmunk silently climbed from the tiger's tail onto Lin Qian's lap. The little guy knew it was time for him to play his role.
The stepmother didn't know what Lin Qian was looking for, but she didn't care. Her job was simply to look after the cub.
…………
"Huff... huff..."
The boy hiding in the ruins covered his mouth and took a deep breath as he watched the colorful figure leave.
Many people had started moving, and he was thinking of moving to another place as well. After all, his position was really bad; he was too low and there was nowhere else to move. If he were discovered, he would be doomed.
He had just wiped his dirty glasses and stood in front of the dilapidated iron gate, peering out through the cracks in the wall. What he saw almost sent him flying on the spot.
A towering beast appeared before him, startling the boy so much that his legs trembled. He thought the demonized beast had returned, but the next glance revealed that the beast had rummaged through the ruins and suddenly sneezed.

"Awooo!" Courage shook its head and jumped far away. Feeling an itch on its nose, it raised its furry tiger paw and rubbed its nose.
Hearing a distinctly different roar, the boy was momentarily confused, but then instantly realized that it wasn't a demonized beast but some other kind of animal!
That's true. Now that the demonic beasts have left, other animals will naturally come. Before the demonic beasts appeared, the biggest danger for these survivors was the animals around them.
Realizing it wasn't a mutated beast, the boy instantly breathed a sigh of relief. Although the mutated animals were still ferocious, they weren't very dangerous. As long as they didn't encounter carnivorous beasts, they were basically safe from death.
