When Yongqi saw the snow leopard use the same superpower as its stepmother, it became interested. However, it lost interest when it saw the ice. The ice was not sharp at all, and its shape was also bad, crooked and twisted. No wonder it could only cut a little bit of fur.
Compared to the courage's disdain, the snow fox was quite surprised and nervous. Besides resentment towards the snow leopard, it was actually more afraid of it. If it weren't for the power and level suppression of the spirit beast that gave it confidence, it would not easily provoke any beast that was once a king, even if those beasts were just ordinary evolved beasts.
The attack on the snow leopard today was completely accidental, a case of "enemies meeting with intense hatred." But it never expected that its impulsive "revenge," which was initially going smoothly, would end like this. Isn't this ridiculous?
The snow fox felt a sense of resentment, resentful of its failed revenge and unwilling to be constantly suppressed by the beast that had once dominated it! But this resentment vanished when it dodged the snow leopard's ice spikes again. It had no ambition, just a bit of a nouveau riche mentality.
Once things become hopeless, the mind instantly clears. What does frustration matter? Living is the most important thing! The snow fox was already secretly considering whether to retreat. Its special ability had been broken, so it was of no help.
The snow leopard was also in bad shape. Its wounds were bleeding profusely, and it had been weakened for so long. If it hadn't been for its willpower to protect its cubs, the snow leopard would have collapsed long ago.
But now, the snow leopard, which had broken through to become a spirit beast, seemed to have recovered somewhat. The snow fox wasn't quite sure, so it decided to wait and see.
It knew that even if it left now, the snow leopard would remember it. As long as the snow leopard was alive, its safety would be in great danger. If possible, it would do its best to get rid of the snow leopard, even if it meant getting injured!
"Awooooo!"
"!" Excited howls rang out from the tree. The snow leopard cubs had sensed their mother's growing strength and were overjoyed.
The snow fox narrowed its eyes at the three cubs, its heart wavering. Should it make a move against these little guys...?
The thought flashed through her mind, but she immediately dismissed it. She knew that she was cunning by nature and would stop at nothing to achieve her goals.
However, due to some special reasons, it never preyed on its cubs after it grew up, which led to it nearly starving to death in the snow more than once before the disaster.
But the snow fox has never broken this belief. When it was ignorant and unenlightened, the snow fox did not know why it persisted. Now that it has enough intelligence, it still does not understand. However, there is always a voice in its heart influencing it.
"Ouch!"
Seeing the snow fox staring at its cub, the snow leopard assumed the snow fox had designs on the cub and immediately let out an angry growl.
Seeing its angry glare, the snow fox's eyes suddenly emitted a ghostly blue light.
The snow leopard, which had been constantly avoiding the snow fox's gaze, was caught off guard by the ghostly blue light after its cubs momentarily forgot about it. It was too late for regrets.
As a spirit beast, the snow leopard has developed a trace of consciousness. The snow fox's alluring power has affected it, but it is not as strong as before.
But in the current situation, even a second is a chance for the snow fox to kill!
"Ouch!"
A bloodcurdling scream rang out, and the snow leopard's white, spotted body fell to the ground without any surprise.
Snow Fox narrowed his eyes, not surprised by the result.
Looking at the blood-soaked claws, the snow fox felt as if an invisible shackle had been removed from its heart, and it relaxed completely. A mysterious aura rose from the top of its head and then entered its spiritual consciousness.
With a "boom," another acupoint in the snow fox's body was released.
The snow fox has broken through to the second level of spirit beast!
The snow fox didn't know why this change had occurred, but becoming stronger wasn't a bad thing.
Calming its mind, the snow fox felt the spiritual energy surging towards its second acupoint. The moment the acupoint was filled, it felt incredibly comfortable throughout its body. A warm energy flowed through its meridians, and it could feel that it was absorbing spiritual energy much faster than before.
The snow fox, having successfully broken through, slowly opened its eyes. It glanced quietly at the three trembling snow leopard cubs, but ultimately did nothing to them.
Licking the blood off its paws and looking at its paws restored to their original state, the snow fox happily swished its fluffy tail and leaped into the forest, disappearing without a trace.
Courage watched the snow fox's departing figure thoughtfully. After thinking for a moment, the little tiger cub silently landed next to the snow leopard. Chipmunk jumped off the tiger's head, picked up the snow leopard, and then climbed onto Courage's head again, clinging to the tiger's leg.
Courage was used to this. He lightly tapped his foot, glanced in the direction the snow fox had gone, and followed. Courage was quite happy to have gotten a spirit beast for free, but he was more interested in the snow fox's special abilities than its prey.
Among the spirit beasts it encountered, most of their abilities overlapped. It was the first time it had seen a spirit beast with the ability to confuse enemies, like the snow fox, so its curiosity was fully aroused.
As the snow fox and Courage departed, the three bewildered snow leopard cubs cautiously climbed down from the tree and quickly ran to the spot where their mother had disappeared. The three cubs lowered their heads and sniffed the scent of blood—a familiar smell, yet also an alluring aroma.
The three fluffy little creatures, still nursing and never having tasted meat, stared blankly at the bloodstains seeping into the soil beneath their feet, their eyes filled with utter bewilderment.
Perhaps they don't yet understand what death is, or perhaps they vaguely sense it, but none of that matters anymore. Whether the cubs, deprived of their mother's protection and care, can survive in this forest is unknown.
.…………
"Awooo." The moon was high in the sky, but courage still hadn't returned, and Tiger Mom was getting a little uneasy.
