Chapter 213 The Secret Realm Opens

Courage stood next to Lin Qian, bewildered and full of questions. But the tiger cub was simple-minded and didn't think much of it. He turned around, picked up the snow fox, and continued playing.

Hmm, the fluffy little fox was caught by the tiger's claws, and after being kneaded and stroked, it has already rolled up into a toy ball.

Snow Fox: Foxes have no feelings. As darkness fell, a few more scattered marine spirit beasts climbed ashore, indicating that most of the marine spirit beasts in the vicinity had already arrived.

And the number of humans has increased by 4.

A woman dressed in Indian attire and three men bundled up in thick coats surprised Lin Qianhe. Could it be that the place they lived in was not hot but cold?

Lin Qian hesitated for a moment but then stopped paying attention. Too cold or too hot were not suitable areas for them to live in, so they weren't worth considering.

The Indian woman joined Sophie's group, while the three men did not, but sat nearby and did not go far.

The chipmunk wasn't interested in the changing scene; having grown accustomed to the raging storms outside the mountains, the little guy even began to appreciate them.

It gnaws on bones one minute, and munches on fruit the next, squeaking incessantly. When it's happy, it wags its tail and pats its paws, thoroughly enjoying itself.

Lin Qian looked at the carefree chipmunk with some envy. This guy clung to the tiger's leg, never worried about food or drink, and was fearless of danger. He was living a very comfortable life.

Unlike him, who, barely reaching adulthood, has to shoulder the burden of supporting his family!

The chipmunk noticed Lin Qian's gaze, touched its belly with its little paws, and looked a little uneasy.

What's wrong? The mouse just wants to stroll around and check the weather, is that not allowed?

The clouds here are really interesting!

After thinking for a moment, the chipmunk figured that King Tiger was probably hungry, so the housekeeper mouse dutifully took out some jerky and water.

After setting up the basin, water was poured into it through a large bamboo tube, filling it only halfway.

Lin Qian originally wanted to say he wasn't hungry, but when he saw Qing Shui, he couldn't help but lean over and lick it.

I was really thirsty. There were only rocks on this mountain, and I hadn't had a sip of water all day. I was definitely thirsty.

Courage immediately came over, and the tossed fox ball unfolded with a thud, transforming back into a fluffy little fox. Its messy, snow-white fur was quite ruffled, but still, it was adorable.

The chipmunk looked at the snow fox with pity, then took out some fruit and handed it to it.

The snow fox slowly regained its senses and silently hugged the fruit, starting to nibble on it.

As darkness fell, everything on this side of the barrier was pitch black, except for the firelight near Sophie's side.

Occasionally, a flash of lightning would streak across the stormy sea, offering a glimmer of light to the dark, rocky mountain.

Darkness remains a source of weakness and fear for humans. Even after evolving to the level three of superhumans, humans' night vision is still inferior to that of beasts.

Superhumans can only barely make out the outlines of things, unlike spirit beasts which can see clearly. Darkness is just a lack of color in the eyes of spirit beasts.

Of course, being able to see clearly is one thing, but being able to see very far is another.

For example, during the day, Lin Qian can see things 500 meters away, but in the dark he can only see about 50 meters away.

Without the sun's rays, the whole world is pitch black; day and night are indeed different.

Even in the darkness, spirit beasts continued to descend from below and gather before the barrier.

Halfway up the mountain, dozens of humans were scattered among the rocks. They looked in the direction of the mountain but did not rush up. Instead, they waited where they were.

These people had all experienced the Great Snow Mountain Secret Realm. Most of them were at the level of Level 2 Ability Users. Knowing that the number of beasts was far greater than that of humans, they chose to hide temporarily and wait for the barrier to disappear before going up.

There was a sense of unusual fluctuation before the barrier disappeared, which all living beings could perceive.

The strong are fearless and can move forward without hesitation, while the weak must be careful to go further.

At the edge of the rocky mountain, two figures clad in long robes stood before the isolation barrier. Countless sea beasts, their eyes bloodshot, repeatedly rammed the barrier, their crimson blood splattering onto the invisible, transparent barrier and blooming into flowers in mid-air.

Countless slender branches clung to the barrier, constantly spreading and thorning, trying to embrace the rootless flowers. However, the barrier separated them by a mere finger's width, preventing the branches from penetrating and touching the vibrant red blossoms, no matter how hard they tried.

"The mutated beasts in the sea..." a murmur rang out, tinged with a sigh.

In an instant, countless branches meandered down and disappeared quickly, as if they had never existed.

The terrifying, enormous sea beast continued to ram, its sharp fangs and gaping maw almost within reach. Yet, the figure standing behind the barrier remained unmoved, a pair of deep green eyes filled with longing as they gazed at the sea beast's crimson blood.

"Grandma, once we get out, let's search along the coast. We're sure we'll find it," another figure whispered from behind.

Upon closer inspection, the face beneath the hood was that of a young boy, around seventeen or eighteen years old, yet still bearing a hint of childishness.

The figure standing in front of the barrier slowly raised her head. It was the appearance of a young woman with willow-leaf eyebrows, gentle and affectionate. If it weren't for those eerie green eyes, she would truly be a beauty from Jiangnan.

The woman licked her rosy lips as she looked at the sea creatures, then lowered her gaze and turned away.

"Let's go, these useless people can't get in, they're just messing around."

The boy pulled his cloak tighter, tucked in his hood, and quickly followed the woman.

He didn't know if his mother-in-law meant that they were wasting time going down the mountain, or that the sea monsters were wasting their lives by crashing into the barrier... but his intuition told him it was the latter.
