Chapter 217 Little White Bird

"Woof." Afu nodded to indicate that there was no problem. Its sense of smell and hearing were excellent, and it could observe any movement around it.

Afu had just heard the birds chirping in the trees, but the dog didn't seem to care at all; hearing a bird chirp or two in the woods was perfectly normal.

Ah Mo, however, actually wanted to go up and check on it. Ah Fu didn't quite understand, but he didn't stop him.

Human intelligence and complexity are difficult for a dog to comprehend. Even now, Afu still struggles to understand the thoughts and actions of a clever person like Amo.

Amo quickly climbed up the big tree. The tree trunk was huge, with a diameter of at least two meters. After reaching a height of six or seven meters, the branches became more numerous, and Amo's movements became faster.

He didn't know how much time had passed, but Amer could no longer see the grass under the tree. He looked up and saw dense foliage, and he looked down and saw the same.

"Chirp chirp..." The bird's call grew clearer and closer.

Amo steadied himself and continued crawling towards the source of the sound.

After passing a fork in the road, Amer finally reached the vicinity of the sound source.

"Chirp..." The bird's chirping grew weaker, as if it had grown tired of chirping.

Amo carefully followed the sound, but when he got close to the area where the sound came from, he saw nothing. There were no birds or other creatures. It was as if the bird calls he heard were just an illusion caused by the rustling of leaves.

Amo sat on the tree branch, frowning. He didn't believe it was an illusion. After all, he had been climbing up following the sound. There couldn't have been nothing there. He must have just missed it.

After resting for a while, Amo continued to search around the area. Thick, intertwined branches were covered with vines. Amo carefully searched among the branches and leaves, not even letting go of the vines.

Suddenly, a tiny white speck, about the size of a fingernail, flashed through his sight. Amo quickly lowered his head and finally spotted a tuft of white feathers where a small branch and vines intertwined.

Where there's a will, there's a way. Amo circled around to the tree branch and finally spotted a small white bird through a gap in the intertwined vines. The bird had its eyes closed, its entire body wedged between the vines.

Amo sensed that the little guy was still alive before carefully reaching out and gently prying the vines apart.

Don't be fooled by these vines; each one is quite thick, almost like a tree branch. Moreover, a single vine often intertwines with several branches, making it impossible to shake them. Therefore, Amo took out his dagger and began to cut them. Although this was slower, it ensured that the birds would not be hurt and that there would be no accidents.

As a superhuman, Amo was quite strong and successfully cut the vines in about three minutes.

The fluffy little white bird quickly landed in Amo's palm. The round, white bird looked adorable and cute. Amo felt it looked familiar, but he didn't recognize the bird.

After stuffing the unconscious bird into the pocket of his coat, Amer quickly climbed down the tree.

Afu was getting quite anxious waiting under the tree. If Amo hadn't been whistling to let him know he was safe every now and then, Afu would have jumped up the tree by now.

With a rustling sound, Amo jumped down from the tree branch with a snap.

Despite the height of nearly two stories, Amo landed nimbly and steadily, as if nothing had happened.

"Woof." Afu came over and rubbed against Amo, his dog eyes showing relaxation.

"I'm fine." Amo patted the dog's head to reassure Afu.

Although Afu is a pet dog, Amo and Axu treat Afu like a child, since Afu's cognitive abilities are indeed similar to those of a child.

Amo sat on the ground and took the little bird out of his pocket. The little guy opened his eyes and looked at him with curiosity.

"Chirp chirp..." Fatty Dudu's little fur ball flipped over and stood up in Amo's palm with a thud, raising its round head and staring at Amo without blinking.

Amo and Afu also looked at the birds, but they were both confused because they couldn't understand the meaning of the birdsong.

So, it's just an ordinary little bird?

Thinking of this, Amo felt a little disappointed, and Afu also felt a little discouraged.

The little bird tilted its head, glanced at the person and the dog several times, and its black bean-sized eyes suddenly widened.

Are you people entering the country?

A clear, girlish voice suddenly rang out, startling Amo.

"Are you talking?"

Woof woof!

"

Afu was also stunned; this completely shattered its understanding.

In the city, Afu had seen talking birds, such as parrots, but this was the first time he had ever seen one that could speak a complete sentence with intonation!

The little white bird shook its wings and looked at them strangely. "Yeah, are there any other birds besides me?"

The little white bird was very puzzled. What was wrong with it speaking human language? It was very intelligent.

Before Amer could even express her surprise, she quickly asked, "Yes, we're lost. Can you lead us out?"

The little white bird flapped its wings, raised its head, and said, "So you don't have a guide! That's very strange!"

The little white bird was quite surprised. Although it didn't know which fool had lost the entrant, it didn't mind being the guide for once.

"Okay, then I'll take you!" the little white bird replied excitedly.

Despite its quick agreement, it is actually far from being a leader. It was only able to sneak out this time because everyone was busy when the secret realm opened.
