"Young one—"
Beneath the wild mountains, the cries of young deer echoed continuously. The red deer couple stood at the foot of the mountain, their calls seemingly tireless, and these cries had been going on for three days.
On the mountaintop, a mysterious little deer and a hawk were gazing down the mountain.
"Aren't you going to take a look?" The eagle's voice had a clear quality to it, and its eagle eyes looked at the fawn questioningly.
Little Deer immediately looked away. "No need, let's get ready to begin."
The eagle stared intently at the fawn for a moment, then spread its wings and soared into the sky, waiting for the spiritual energy of the northern veins to stabilize before it too would begin.
Listening to the deer's cry, the little deer sighed inwardly. Seven days ago, it found the red deer couple and led the red deer herd and the blue ox herd to a nearby intermediate spiritual vein.
Originally, it thought that after the earth veins here were repaired, they would be able to take advantage of the proximity to the water and get the moon first. However, after only a few days of getting along, they developed a bond with the deer herd.
The deer couple were already very grateful to the little deer. This time, when the secret realm opened, they brought eight more spirit deer into the realm. Naturally, they went to the same palace where they had received the inheritance before. They were originally a little disappointed that they hadn't seen the little deer.
Unexpectedly, after they came out of the secret realm, the little deer found them. Only then did they realize that a lot of the spirit race had come out of the secret realm.
The red deer couple were very grateful to the fawn, and the herd quickly went from awe to affection towards the fawn, especially the young fawns that were not yet adults. The fawn was naturally happy to see so many of its own kind, and thus a bond was formed between them.
As the sacrificial text says, all things have spirits, and these are all intelligent creatures, so they cannot escape the common customs.
When the time had come, the little deer carefully instructed the deer couple, not to let the deer fight for territory, but to let the couple lead the deer herd to develop well in the intermediate spiritual vein and not to take risks.
After all, the red deer herd is not very strong; they are good enough to protect themselves, but not good enough to fight.
Unexpectedly, the deer couple led their herd of deer all the way to the ley lines. The deer herd did not want the fawn's protection, but rather wanted to sacrifice itself in place of the fawn. Their mournful cries were all calls for the fawn.
Although the deer couple had good intentions, the number of sacrifices had already been predetermined and could not be changed. Even if it could be changed, the deer couple's abilities would not be sufficient.
The red deer couple voluntarily switched places, not entirely out of gratitude to the fawn, but because they believed that the fawn, being so strong, would surely be able to protect the herd in this chaotic world and lead it to become stronger.
It must be said that these two deer have a truly strong sense of responsibility. Whether it was the hardships during the major earthquake and snow disaster, or the subsequent crises and dangers, they never abandoned the herd, nor did they waver in their determination to protect their species.
If it weren't for the sika deer couple's unwavering dedication and selfless contributions, not a single fawn would have been born in the herd, let alone the ever-growing population it is today.
The mountain deer couple continued to neigh at the foot of the mountain. It wasn't that they didn't want to go up, but that they couldn't. The fawn had set up a barrier, trapping them in one place.
Their calls can be heard outside and up in the mountains, but they are located several miles from the edge of the area, unable to even enter the ley lines.

Not far away, in the mid-level spiritual vein, the deer herd paced anxiously, listening to the faint cries of the deer. The young deer, already a level 3 spirit beast, calmly reassured the herd while constantly looking into the distance. It was very worried about the deer couple, but it could not disobey the leader's orders and abandon the herd.
The blue ox leader chewed on the withered grass that had regained a sliver of life, looking at the restless deer herd and the fawns that were methodically calming them down, a hint of regret appearing in his eyes.
They thought that with the powerful spirit deer, they could live peacefully with the deer herd, but unexpectedly, their support disappeared in the blink of an eye. Even the deer couple chased after them. Hearing the faint cries of the deer, the leader of the blue ox knew that their powerful support was probably gone.
The Green Ox leader didn't think the deer couple were foolish. If they could have a powerful spirit ox, it would be willing to make such a decision!
This wasn't a matter of the ox leader and the deer couple being simple-minded; rather, the reality of survival led them to make the same choice.
Despite their improved strength now that they have spirit beasts, the blue ox herd and red deer herd are well aware that they lack strong offensive capabilities. Although their defense is decent, it is not entirely reliable. If they encounter a major crisis, their herds will be in danger of being wiped out.
Faced with survival, they had no choice.
Since encountering the sea monster, the blue ox herd and the red deer herd have been traveling together. After the little deer found the red deer herd, it did not abandon the blue ox herd and brought the blue ox herd with it to the intermediate spiritual vein.
It wasn't that the fawn was careless; rather, it was certain that the blue cattle herd was gentle and still herbivorous, so there would be no conflict with the red deer. In fact, with the blue cattle herd around, the red deer would be much safer.
The little deer knew how dangerous herbivorous spirit beasts were, but it could do nothing more than offer them some experience and find them a suitable place to live.
This is where spirit beasts are inferior to humans, but it is also the reason why individual spirit beasts are stronger than humans. The advantages and disadvantages are all governed by the laws of nature, which the spirit beast cannot control.

At the high-level spiritual vein, Tiger Dad looked at the large rabbit that appeared in front of him but had no intention of making a move.
For no other reason than that the opponent was too strong.
This rabbit is also a member of the Spirit Clan, and is a member of the same clan as the Jade Rabbit that took away the little white bird before.
The rabbit clan also dispatched two spirit rabbits this time, and the more powerful one naturally also shouldered the task of repairing the earth's veins.
