Soon, they arrived at the foot of the tree, a desolate grove of trees. Most of the surrounding trees were sparse and low, with only a few large trees with lush branches. Many trees were crooked and no longer looked like a forest.
Clearly, these trees were also survivors of the major earthquake.
The reindeer did not mind the irregular grove; they actively sought out large trees and areas with more trees, then hid under them to avoid the wind and snow.
The reindeer leader looked around, and suddenly, it lowered its head and dragged a piece of tree trunk out of the snow.
Looking at the three-meter-long tree trunk and then at the crooked tree in front of him, a flash of inspiration struck the reindeer leader.
Soon, the reindeer saw their new leader doing something strange under the big tree: a fallen sapling was being re-erected, leaning precariously to support the larger tree.
The reindeer were puzzled yet intrigued, but a glint flashed in the reindeer leader's eyes—it had found a way to protect the herd!
At the call of the reindeer leader, the herd quickly sprang into action. The clumsy reindeer struggled with delicate tasks, but they still managed to build themselves a few primitive "huts".
Whether supported by leaning trees or by suddenly rising slopes, shelters supported by fallen trees were thus formed.
The reindeer no longer have to directly face the pounding snow, which greatly improves their warmth. The reindeer huddle together, helpless against the cold wind blowing in, but they are not afraid of the cold wind. Their thick fur and tough skin can protect them from the cold wind.

At dawn, the reindeer set off again, not stopping in the forest.
The sparse, leaning trees were not their final resting place. The reindeer leader knew very well that these "shacks" could not withstand much wind and snow for them. Overnight, the snow had piled up so thickly that it made the trees creak and groan.
The reindeer started walking again. They knew they had to find a place to spend the winter before they ran out of energy, but where should they go to find a place to survive after losing their way in the frozen ground?
The reindeer leader didn't know, and neither did the reindeer, but they still kept moving forward.
Even if they don't know where they're going, they still have to keep going.
This is the life of a reindeer, a life of constant travel.
