Chapter 193 Appreciating the Unique Chipmunk

With the return of the Golden Eagle leader and his wife, Lin Qian breathed a sigh of relief upon receiving news that the ant colony had left.

Tiger Dad and Tiger Mom were relieved. Even though they had become spirit beasts and had greater power, their habits and life experiences were still similar to before. They still didn't like to migrate or change territories.

Tigers don't actually like long journeys unless there's a food shortage or their habitat isn't sufficient to sustain their survival; they're simply forced to travel for the sake of survival.

It was clear that there was no way to go back to the other side of the river; it was completely barren, not a single leaf could be seen, and the ants had eaten it all up.

The leader of the golden eagles led the gathered golden eagles away first, as they were going to find a new mountain peak or cliff to build their nests on.

The tigers naturally had to rebuild their dens, and the whole family was somewhat unhappy about the caves they had painstakingly dug and built.

Before, the tigers probably wouldn't have felt anything, but now they have a concept of home. The cave is no longer just a temporary dwelling, but rather a place viewed through a lens of warmth and security.

The big cats all seemed a little regretful and reluctant to leave, and as they left the riverbank, they couldn't help but look towards the waterfall.

Courage is alright; for it, as long as its tiger mom and dad are there, it doesn't care where it goes. The little guy hasn't settled down yet.

Lin Qian looked at the three big cats' lingering gaze with a sense of helplessness. There was nothing he could do about it; natural disasters and man-made calamities were unavoidable. It was the greatest fortune that the whole tiger family was safe and sound.

"Awooo." It's alright, we'll build another cave. As long as the tigers are here, our home is here.

The tiger dad patted his cub's head and growled in agreement.

Tiger Mom nuzzled Lin Qian with relief. Her son was right. As long as everyone is doing well, anywhere can be home.

Putting aside his sadness, Tiger Dad looked up at the already scorching sun, let out a low growl, and chose the most lush-looking forest to walk towards. With a burst of courage, he darted out. He had explored the other side of the river before; he couldn't say he was very familiar with it, but it wasn't unfamiliar either.

As Lin Qian left, he didn't forget to pick up a mountain breeze. He had no choice; he needed to hurry, and if he didn't take it with him, the kid definitely wouldn't be able to keep up.

The chipmunk hugged Lin Qian's tail, its little head gazing at the opposite bank of the river, feeling a little sad as it thought of its tree hole.

Squeak! The mouse has carefully dug a tree hole! There are lots of nuts hidden inside!

The chipmunk didn't originally keep many nuts in the tree hole, but because it was going on a long trip, it emptied the space and naturally released the stored nuts.

I never expected that the food I carefully stored before leaving home would be completely devoured by ants when I returned.

Thinking of this, the little guy couldn't help but clench his little paws.

Squeak! Those wretched ants!

The mother panda nimbly picked up her cub, then looked back at the waterfall with a hint of longing. Oh, her bamboo forest, her vine nest!

Honestly, I've been using Yeguo Reading to read and follow my favorite books lately. It has easy source switching, multiple reading voice options, and is compatible with both Android and Apple devices. (yeguoyuedu)

Red pandas don't really understand the concept of moving to a new home; the little guy just goes wherever his mom takes him.

The mountain wind, which had also been picked up, silently tucked its arms and legs in, maintaining a posture that made it less likely to be scratched or injured. Yes, this child had already gained experience in carrying it around.

It wasn't that Lin Qian wasn't paying attention, but rather that there were simply too many and too lush plants in the mountains and forests, making it impossible not to get scratched.

The tiger mother was puzzled when she saw her cub carrying a monkey-like animal in its mouth. It wasn't that she had never seen humans before; she remembered the forest rangers and the humans she had encountered during the snowstorm.

However, the tiger mother had never been in close contact with humans and knew very little about this kind of animal, so she was somewhat puzzled and curious.

The tiger father also spotted Lin Qian's "prey." After thinking for a moment, the tiger let out a low growl, indicating that he would take over the task of carrying the prey from his cub.

In the past, the tiger father would not have done this. For wild animals, prey is a very important "property," and even wives and children would not easily touch each other's prey.

But now that they've lived together for so long, the "tiger dad" has gotten used to doing all sorts of things for his kids, so whenever he sees his kids needing help, the old father's temper flares up.

The main reason is that Lin Qian's size is not much larger than the adult tiger before, and it looks a bit strenuous for him to carry a teenager. Although Lin Qian is actually very strong and it doesn't seem like he's putting in any effort, it doesn't look like that at all.

Lin Qian agreed without hesitation, threw the boy down with a thud, and took a few deep breaths.

There's no way around it, this guy hasn't had a bath in ages. It went from smelling sour and stinky at first, to fermenting now, the smell is just awful.

It's fine if you don't get too close, but he has to hold it in his mouth! That pungent smell hits right into his nose!

Regardless of whether I washed myself in the mountains while in the city, I certainly didn't have the means to wash myself after traveling for more than ten days. Whether I was dirty or not really didn't matter when it came to survival.

Shanfeng probably never imagined that he would be disliked by wild animals.

The tiger family: So what if we're wild? We groom ourselves every day.

The moment it was dropped, before the mountain wind could even think, it was picked up again in a flash. This time, it was high enough off the ground that it wouldn't touch the ground even if it didn't tuck its arms and legs in.

Realizing he had been switched with a tiger, the boy was so frightened that he dared not move.

He originally thought the three tigers were a family, but when he arrived at the destination, there were two more large tigers. Moreover, the largest tiger was clearly the tiger king, and it was terrifyingly powerful.

Tiger Dad's size was noticeably larger than any other tiger in the family, making it hard for Shanfeng to miss him. Fearing being eaten alive, the boy cautiously stayed to the side, not daring to approach Tiger Dad. Little did he know, he would now fall directly into the tiger's jaws.
