Chapter 64: Stimulated

While they were discussing Lin Zhaoxia, Lin Zhaoxia felt even more uncertain.

Lin Chaoyang, who was also a college student, had returned from summer vacation, but Cao Jinhua still hadn't sent him a letter.

Every day after work, she would go to the village entrance to wait for letters, but the letters were always sent back to her second uncle by Lin Chaoyang.

Cao Jinhua didn't believe it. She waited day after day, but still didn't get it.

Even the postman told her not to wait at the village entrance every day, and that he would deliver letters to her if there were any.

But Lin Chaoxia couldn’t wait. She always thought, what if she could wait until today?

But every day she was greeted with the same disappointment as the day before.

When she learned that her elder brother was coming back for summer vacation, she became even more anxious.

She had originally comforted herself that Cao Jinhua was too busy at school and therefore had no time to contact her.

But my eldest brother wrote letter after letter and came home with stars.

He came back from Guangzhou, which is so far away, which shows that college students are not that busy at all.

Lin Zhaoxia was already half disappointed, but she refused to believe that Cao Jinhua was really such a heartless person.

A few days later, Yan He, a fellow educated youth from the same batch as Cao Jinhua, returned to the village to see Professor Song.

Lin Zhaoxia finally couldn't hold it anymore, and ran to Yan He to inquire about Cao Jinhua's news.

Yan He looked at her with some sympathy, "You and Jinhua are in different places for the exam, and we don't have much contact."

Communication was not very convenient in those days, and since they were educated youth and went to universities far apart, they almost had no contact.

Lin Zhaoxia was very disappointed, but she still didn't give up and asked which university Cao Jinhua was admitted to.

When they were admitted to university, Cao Jinhua said that he was admitted to a university near Shanghai, but he did not say which one.

Yan He was a little embarrassed. He felt a little sympathetic to Lin Zhaoxia, but he didn't know whether he should tell her more.

But after Lin Zhaoxia's constant pleading, Yan He finally gave in.

"Jinhua was admitted to Jinhai University of Technology."

Lin Zhaoxia even thought she had heard it wrong. She knew Jinhai City, which was not far from Beijing City.

But Cao Jinhua clearly told himself that he was admitted to a university near Shanghai!

"Tianjin University of Technology? Are you sure? Isn't it the university in Shanghai?"

Yan He shook his head. "Jinhua is from the north, so of course he went to the north to take the exam. He applied to several schools in the north."

Only then did Lin Chaoxia realize that Cao Jinhua had been deceiving her all along.

Taking her back to the city was a lie to her, marrying her was a lie to her, and even what university he got into was a lie to her.

He clearly passed the exam and was admitted to Jinhai, but he lied to me and said he was going to Shanghai. The distance is so far. Was he afraid that I would go to find him?

Lin Zhaoxia returned home in a daze and developed a high fever that night.

It was not until the next morning that Lin Chaoyu discovered that she had a high fever and could not be woken up, so she quickly ran to her second uncle's house for help.

Second uncle pulled Lin Chaoyang and insisted that he go with him.

Lin Chaoyang didn't refuse. He lent a hand and followed them.

On the way, my second uncle couldn't help asking, "Why is it so hot in the summer, and you're still freezing in this weather?"

Lin Chaoyu shook his head. "She's not cold. I think Sister 꺘 seems to be stimulated."

As he spoke, he pointed to his head and said, "I think there's something wrong here. People are so weird."

The second uncle found it even more strange. What kind of stimulation could make a person become like this?

Lin Chaoyang had a guess, and asked, "Did she go to look for the educated youth who came back to see Teacher Song?"

Lin Chaoyu was a little surprised, "Brother, how do you know? Sister has been abnormal since she came back."

Lin Chaoyang shook his head. He must have been mentally traumatized by knowing that Cao Jinhua was a complete liar.

Second Uncle also understood that Lin Zhaoxia must have come to ask the educated youth something and was hit hard by these things.

When they arrived at Lin Zhaoxia's room, they saw that her face was red with fever and she was mumbling something incoherently.

"She was like this when I found her. She was mumbling something but I couldn't hear anything."

There was a towel wrung out by Lin Chaoyu on Lin Zhaoxia's forehead, but it didn't work.

Lin Chaoyang directly carried her up and said, "Go to the clinic. If you continue to have a fever, you will become a fool."

She hurried to the health center, where the doctor gave her an injection and an IV drip, and it took a long time for her fever to subside.

Although the fever had subsided, Lin Zhaoxia still didn't wake up and was still mumbling something.

Lin Chaoyu leaned in closer and listened carefully for a long time before he could barely hear the few words she squeezed out from between her teeth.

"Liar...silly...ghost...let it go..."

"What's so stupid about that? She's not going to commit suicide, is she? She's going to turn into a ghost and take revenge on Cao Jinhua after she dies?"

The second uncle listened and shook his head, "How stupid! If he dies, he dies. There is nothing left. What's the use of revenge?"

Seeing her like this, Lin Chaoyang also shook his head.

If she really died for this, she would be extremely stupid.

He would wonder what kind of brain he had in his previous life to be forced to death by such a brother-in-law.

After waiting for more than an hour, Lin Zhaoxia finally woke up.

She opened her eyes and saw Lin Chaoyang. She was stunned for a moment, and then immediately burst into tears.

She was about to get out of bed regardless, but her second uncle quickly pushed her back.

"You're still dripping with water. Don't move. Just lie still."

Lin Zhaoxia looked at Lin Chaoyang with tears in her eyes, "Brother, I want to ask you for a favor."

Lin Chaoyang narrowed his eyes and looked at her, "You don't want me to take you to find Cao Jinhua, do you?"

When Lin Chaoyu heard this, she yelled, "Sister, you still haven't given up? He has no intention of coming back to find you!"

Lin Zhaoxia cried even more sadly, "I'm going to ask him why he lied to me!"

Second Uncle was so angry at her that he had a headache, "Why did you go to him? Don't you think it's not embarrassing enough?"

Lin Zhaoxia seemed to be stubborn, "I just want to find him and ask him why he lied to me!"

Lin Chaoyang refused, "I won't take you to find him. I don't want to do such a meaningless thing."

"He has already abandoned you. What are you going to ask him again?"

"Want to know why he lied to you? I can answer you directly."

Lin Chaoyang was merciless and his tone of voice was not euphemistic at all.

"Cao Jinhua is an educated youth here. His life is not very good, so he needs someone to support him."

"He lied to you because he really needed you at the time, but now that he's been admitted to college, you're no longer worthy of him."

"He is originally from the city and is now a college student with a bright future. What do you have that he needs?"

"He wants to marry a woman who can help him in his career, not a village girl like you who has nothing."

Hearing her elder brother's frank and truthful words, Lin Zhaoxia couldn't help but covered her face and cried bitterly.
