Chapter 48 Lü Bu of Bingzhou

Before long, Lü Bu arrived outside the village, by which time the crying and shouting had stopped.

Sensing something was wrong, Lü Bu rushed into the village, and what he saw made his eyes widen in fury.

The village roads were littered with the bodies of villagers lying in pools of blood—including the elderly, women, young people, and even children.

Especially noticeable was a pregnant woman lying by the roadside at the village entrance. Her clothes were disheveled, and her wide eyes were filled with horror and fear.

The horrific scene before him filled Lü Bu with intense resentment.

Lu Bu immediately dismounted and took off his cloak to cover the pregnant woman.

"There's still one survivor?"

Just as Lü Bu got up, a voice came. Lü Bu turned his head and saw two men dressed as Xiongnu riding horses at the crossroads.

The curved swords in the hands of the two Huns were still dripping with blood, clearly indicating that the massacre of the village was the work of this group of Huns.

Upon seeing the two Xiongnu cavalrymen, Lü Bu immediately mounted his horse, narrowed his eyes, and looked at them with a chilling killing intent in his eyes.

He knew that there were definitely more than just these two people slaughtering the village; there were probably many more deep inside. But Lu Bu was not afraid at all, because he wanted to kill all of these Xiongnu people!

The two Xiongnu men saw that the boy not only didn't run away, but instead mounted his horse and looked at them with an almost defiant gaze. Enraged, they spurred their horses and charged towards Lü Bu.

Lu Bu quickly took the large bow off his back, then took out two feathered arrows, nocked them on the bowstring, and with a single pull, drew the bowstring taut.

Upon seeing this, the two Xiongnu cavalrymen felt a surge of disdain; they couldn't believe that the young man before them could kill them both at the same time.

Seeing the two Xiongnu men still charging towards him, Lü Bu's lips curled into a bloodthirsty smile.

Lu Bu narrowed his eyes, staring intently at the two Xiongnu cavalrymen charging towards him. Then, he released his right hand, and with a violent tremor of the bowstring, two arrows flew out at lightning speed.

The two Hun cavalrymen, who were galloping at full speed, only saw two cold glints flying towards them. Before they could react, they felt a pain in their throats and then fell off their horses.

Lu Bu rode up to the two Xiongnu men, glanced at them coldly, dismounted, and then took a horn from one of the Xiongnu men's waists.

"Waaaaah~"

The mournful sound of the horn immediately spread throughout the surrounding area.

At this moment, a group of soldiers sent by Zhang Huan also noticed the thick smoke rising from the village. Hearing the bugle call, they realized what was happening and, urged by their centurion, quickly rushed towards the village.
