"What are you standing there for? Hurry up and go!"
Seeing Yuan Bo standing there in a daze, Yuan Feng couldn't help but pat the table.
"Ah, yes, sir!!"
Coming to his senses, Uncle Yuan exclaimed "Ah!" and quickly ran outside.
Soon, Uncle Yuan summoned six servants, who ran outside with ropes and wooden sticks.
"Uncle Yuan, what's wrong with you...?"
Yuan Shu, who was waiting in front of the Yuan residence, was also taken aback.
Yuan Bo sighed, then pointed at Yuan Shu, "Tie him up!"
Upon hearing this, the six servants took ropes and sticks and walked towards Yuan Shu.
"How dare you!!"
Upon seeing this, Ji Ling, who was following behind Yuan Shu, immediately shouted angrily and rushed forward.
The group of men following behind immediately gripped the hilts of their knives, stepped forward in unison, and glared fiercely at the six servants.
These men were all followers of Yuan Shu, who had fought in Yamatai for a long time, and each of them had a record of killing at least ten Japanese.
Although those Japanese were not very strong in combat, there's a saying...
Even if you slaughter pigs, if you do it a lot, you'll carry a bloody, menacing aura around you.
This menacing aura is quite intimidating to ordinary people.
As Ji Ling and the others moved, the six servants were so frightened that they stopped in their tracks, not daring to move any further. Some of the more timid ones even started trembling.
Upon seeing this, Yuan Shu turned and shouted, "Step back!!"
"Yes, young master!!"
Upon hearing this, Ji Ling and the others paused, then retreated.
Yuan Shu then looked at the servants who were holding ropes and wooden sticks, and said with a smile, "Alright, you can do it now!"
"this……!"
The servants exchanged glances, then turned to look at Uncle Yuan behind them, who nodded in response.
"Young master, please forgive me!!"
After the servants apologized, they immediately stepped forward and tied Yuan Shu up.
However, they only tied it on symbolically and didn't dare to tighten it too much.
Yuan Shu then turned to Ji Ling, "You all wait here for a moment!!"
"Yes, young master!!"
Yuan Shu nodded, then said to his servants, "Let's go!"
"Young master, please!"
The servant bowed and led Yuan Shu into the Yuan residence.
As soon as he stepped into the mansion, Yuan Shu felt a lump in his throat, and his eyes became misty as he looked at the familiar scene inside.
Before long, Yuan Shu arrived at the entrance to the living room.
Seeing his father sitting in the living room, glaring angrily at him, Yuan Shu twitched his nose, then bent his knees and knelt down.
"You unfilial son Yuan Shu pays respects to his father!!"
Seeing Yuan Shu's state, Yuan Feng, who was about to fly into a rage, swallowed back the words that were on the tip of his tongue.
"You unfilial son, why haven't you written a single letter home in the past two years?"
Although he called his son a rebellious son, Yuan Feng's words were full of concern.
Yuan Shu said respectfully, "Father, please don't be offended. I just wanted to come and tell you in person after I have achieved success and fame!"
"Sigh~, you!"
Seeing his son like this, Yuan Feng could only sigh in the end, "Alright, get up!"
"Yes, Father!!"
Upon hearing this, Yuan Shu touched his head to the ground in a gesture of respect before standing up.
The servants quickly stepped forward and untied the ropes binding Yuan Shu.
Yuan Feng waved his hand: "Your mother has missed you a lot these past two years. Go and talk to her first!"
"Um!"
Yuan Shu nodded, bowed, and retreated.
Soon, Yuan Shu arrived outside the main room where his mother was.
Inside the room, Yuan Shu's mother, Cui, sat in a chair, her eyes glazed over as she looked at a jade plaque in her hand.
This jade pendant was Yuan Shu's identity token. He wore it from the time he was a month old until he left home to go to sea, at which point he took it off.
Cui's fingers slowly traced Yuan Shu's name on the jade tablet, her lips slightly parted as she murmured her son's name repeatedly.
"Squeak!"
The door opened, and Yuan Shu walked in from outside, immediately spotting his mother sitting there.
"Didn't I say no one is allowed to disturb you without permission? Get out!!"
Without looking up, Cui scolded him, her attention still focused on the jade pendant in her hand.
"Mother!!"
Yuan Shu's voice trembled slightly as he walked step by step toward the Cui family.
Upon hearing this, Cui trembled and looked up abruptly. In her hazy eyes, Yuan Shu's figure was somewhat blurry.
"Shu'er...is it really you, Shu'er?"
Cui Shi stared in disbelief at Yuan Shu's figure, which was getting closer and clearer, as if she were in a dream once again.
Upon seeing this, Yuan Shu's eyes reddened, and he immediately knelt down with a thud, crying out, "Mother, it's me! Your unfilial son has returned!!"
"My Shu'er~, you're finally back!"
After confirming that this was not a dream, Cui let out a soft exclamation and got up to walk quickly toward Yuan Shu.
Upon approaching, seeing her son's darkened skin and the scar on his cheek, Cui's tears fell in a steady stream.
Yuan Shu used to be pampered and had fair skin, but now he looks like this. He must have suffered a lot.
"My son, you've suffered so much out there!!"
Thinking of all this, Cui felt even more distressed. She stepped forward, hugged Yuan Shu's head, and began to cry.
Although Madam Cui was usually strict and somewhat harsh, she truly loved her son to the extreme.
