Chapter 448 A Lonely Meal

An Yuan'er was a little embarrassed. She was a foodie and loved all kinds of delicious food.

The key point is that she eats a lot.

But she also knew that the food in the military camp was limited, and it was said that the disaster victims could only drink two bowls of this porridge a day.

Looking at the empty bowl, An Yuan'er said against her will, "I'm full."

Then she sat obediently in her seat, like a well-behaved child waiting for her teacher's praise.

Yi Chenli raised an eyebrow. He thought the little girl would at least complain a few times, but to his surprise, she was very well-behaved and didn't cause him any trouble at all.

He still remembered many years ago, in Chenyang Palace, An Yuan'er was very spoiled. Every day she would try different ways to eat all kinds of delicious food. At that time, he had to run through many streets to find what she liked to eat.

Now that she's so obedient, it's Yi Chenli who's not used to it.

"Are you really full?" Yi Chenli asked inquiringly.

An Yuan'er touched her stomach and insisted, "I'm full."

"Oh!" Yi Chenli responded.

Yi Chenli's reaction was somewhat indifferent, while An Chaoli, standing to the side, glanced at him provocatively, a hint of smugness in his eyes.

An Chaoli took out a large flatbread from his pocket. It was something he had brought from home, and he hadn't eaten it before. He never expected it would come in handy.

An Chaoli put the flatbread into his daughter's bowl: "See! Daddy loves you more. Give it to Yuan'er."

Father's expression was one of pure joy. He had a smile that Yi Chenli lacked; it was the smile of a victor.

An Yuan'er deeply felt that men, no matter their age, are all immature.

His own father was still secretly competing with Yi Chenli for favor.

Seeing Lord An's provocation, Yi Chenli smiled with amusement.

"Roundy, didn't you just say you were full?"

Just as An Yuan'er was about to take a bite of the pancake, Yi Chenli suddenly blurted out a sentence that almost made An Yuan'er bite her tongue off.

She said awkwardly, "I can still eat."

"Yeah?"

There was always a bag on the other side of Yi Chenli's seat.

Under An Chaoli's eager gaze, Yi Chenli quietly opened the bag.

Before even seeing what was inside the bag, An Yuan'er could smell the aroma of meat, and her stomach rumbled involuntarily.

Inside the bag were steamed buns that An Yuan'er, who runs a shop on Chengdong Street, loves to eat. The buns there have thin skins and lots of filling, and you usually have to wait in a long line to buy them.

"It seems that Roundy isn't full yet."

An Yuan'er was really hungry because she hadn't eaten much yesterday before coming here.

"Eat up." Yi Chenli handed the bun to An Yuan'er. An Yuan'er opened her mouth to take a bite when the bun was suddenly snatched away.

An Yuan'er bit into the air.

Unable to eat the flatbread or the steamed buns, An Yuan'er was left with an empty stomach. She thought the two men were deliberately playing a prank on her.

She looked at her father resentfully: "Father, why did you steal my steamed bun?"

An Chaoli looked at the steamed buns. These steamed buns were freshly made, but this place was far from Shengjing. If he wanted to buy them, he would have to ride the fastest horse before dawn to make the round trip.

This man's feelings for his daughter were no less than his own.

An Chaoli felt a pang of sadness; his flatbread had once again lost to steamed buns.

However, since his daughter wanted to eat it, he still gave her the steamed bun, though he said sarcastically, "If you didn't come to the camp, you could eat all sorts of good food. Now you're so envious of a steamed bun."

An Yuan'er ate the steamed bun, looked at her father, who was hanging his head and sighing!
