An Yuan'er stretched out her small hand, raised her misty eyes, and grabbed the corner of Yi Chenli's clothes.
She held onto him tightly, not letting him move.
Yi Chenli looked down and saw only his legs, which were sitting in the wheelchair, and he could not feel them at all.
His heart had long since sunk to the bottom of the lake, like his numb legs, and would never stir up any more waves.
He hardened his heart and tore An Yuan'er's hands apart.
An Yuan'er couldn't hold back, and large tears fell, wetting Yi Chenli's hand, which felt hot and burning.
Her voice trembled with tears as she whispered, "I won't copy your homework anymore, okay?"
An Yuan'er still couldn't understand why Yi Chenli disliked her. She thought about it again and again, and felt that all the changes started yesterday when he copied her homework.
Yi Chenli used all his willpower to avoid looking into the girl's eyes.
He knew perfectly well that if he hesitated any longer, he would be left behind by this silly, clumsy, yet somewhat adorable girl, just like he had done many times before.
He thought sadly that without him, Yuan Gun Gun would only have lost one friend. She would soon make new friends, and at most be sad for a while before new friends would take her place.
He wasn't special, never was.
Yi Chenli did not respond to An Yuan'er and coldly pushed his wheelchair away.
An Yuan'er finally realized that no matter how hard she tried, Yi Chenli's decision would not be easily changed.
She fantasized about repaying the kindness she owed him in her past life, but perhaps he didn't need to at all.
He didn't like having a nagging little tail following him around; he even hated her.
As he was about to leave, An Yuan'er poured out all the candies she had treasured from her book bag and put them into Yi Chenli's arms.
His life was so hard that when he felt bad, eating a piece of candy could help ease the pain in his heart.
Yi Chenli looked at the various candies in his arms. He knew that An Yuan'er usually wouldn't give these candies to others, and if she did, she would only give one piece.
Now she's willing to give him all the candy, even though he treated her so badly.
He raised his eyes and finally looked at An Yuan'er. Her eyes were red and swollen from crying, and her pitiful eyes seemed to have lost the most beloved thing in the world.
Yi Chenli wondered, "Is this round, beloved thing something like these candies?"
He didn't accept the candy, left it on the table, and quietly left.

The children only talked about changing seats for a short time before completely forgetting about it.
Yi Chenli moved to the last row, quietly disappearing as if he had never existed in the classroom.
Except for every time the homework rankings are released, this position has always belonged to Yi Chenli, which is why everyone remembered that there was another person there.
An Yuan'er was depressed for a long time, and for several days in a row she slumped in her seat, unable to muster any energy.
Until, she got a new deskmate, the Fifth Prince.
After that sweet pastry incident, the Fifth Prince, for some unknown reason, switched to An Yuan'er's side. He would bring all sorts of exquisite desserts from the palace to exchange for the snacks from the common people that An Yuan'er had.
Although folk snacks are unique, they are worlds apart from the food served in the palace in terms of ingredients and selection.
But the Fifth Prince was keen on doing such things.
On several occasions, even when An Yuan'er didn't bring anything, the Fifth Prince would give her his own things.
An Yuan'er's studies were not good, but without her asking, the Fifth Prince would take the initiative to show her her homework and even provide explanations.
He and Yi Chenli are completely opposite.
