As the driver finished speaking, An Yuan'er sensed an eager gaze from inside the carriage.
Although they couldn't see each other through the carriage door.
But An Yuan'er could sense that the people in the car were looking at her.
An Yuan'er took a deep breath and cried out, her voice filled with sorrow and heartache: "Yi Chenli, you don't plan to keep your chubby little one anymore, do you?"
Why did you lie to me and say you were dead?
How could you do this?
Despite feeling deeply wronged and having many angry words running through her mind, An Yuan'er couldn't utter a single curse when she actually faced him.
Even more so, there's a hidden, honest thought in my heart: as long as he's still alive, that's enough.
The coachman suddenly fell silent, and the people in the carriage fell into a long silence.
A horse and a person stood outside the carriage, which remained stationary on the road.
But no one came down.
Before leaving the An family mansion, An Yuan'er stayed there for a while. Some of her half-sisters in the An family had married earlier than An Yuan'er. An Yuan'er saw the joy on her face as her half-sisters returned home after their weddings.
An Yuan'er once secretly peeked through the window and saw that the newlyweds seemed to want to be together every single day. They embraced passionately, kissed freely, and even did intimate things. It was the most direct and fervent evidence of the intense love between a couple.
An Yuan'er suddenly thought of her and Yi Chenli. He rarely lost control, and although they occasionally kissed, it was mostly her who initiated it. He always seemed to be rational; he wouldn't be like her brother-in-law who liked her sister, with the two of them sticking together every day.
It seemed like she was always clinging to him.
He would even shield her from arrows and risk his life for her, so why is he so cold to her?
Even more so, after they realized their feelings for each other, they spent more time apart than together, unlike when they were children, when they were together every day.
What puzzled An Yuan'er even more was that he lied to her and said she was dead, making her feel so, so sad.
"Ah Li, do you regret it? Do you regret ever liking me?"
"Even more so, your initial liking for her was simply because I took the initiative. And you just happened to think that this girl was alright."
When they were in love, he was always very careful with his touches; if she hadn't been so passionate, he wouldn't have...
Their relationship began because she took the initiative. Otherwise, none of that would have happened.
An Yuan'er did not receive an answer.
There was no sound inside the carriage, and the driver returned to his seat as if he were driving the carriage.
"Young lady, the city gates will be closing soon, you should go back early."
The coachman drove straight past An Yuan'er and sped away in the carriage.
He didn't even come out to see her.
What pained An Yuan'er even more than accepting Yi Chenli's death was Yi Chenli's regret.
He almost died. Will he regret saving her? Will he think that this girl didn't deserve to be saved?
In her panic, the girl didn't even have time to lead the horse and hurriedly chased after the carriage.
How fast could a girl run compared to the speed of a carriage?
The girl stumbled and chased after the carriage, saying, "Yi Chenli, the blood marriage ceremony was completed that day. Even if you die, you are still my husband, An Yuan'er's husband. Yi Chenli, how could you abandon your bride!"
"Bang!" It made a really loud noise.
An Yuan'er didn't see the road and crashed heavily into a large rock in front of her, falling and unable to get up.
A figure emerged from the carriage.
Unable to control myself any longer...
