Seeing the Crown Prince's persistence, Kangxi's gaze grew increasingly hostile. He did not want to see the Crown Prince disobey him, so he warned the Crown Prince, "I am the Emperor. Is the Crown Prince prepared to defy the imperial decree?"
The Crown Prince remained kneeling, pleading, "Father, please execute Juechan!"
Listening to the conversation inside the main hall, Liang Jiugong, who was outside the door, was extremely anxious.
