Chapter 59 Consort De arrives at Chengqian Palace

Because Xue and I went to bed late last night, we woke up late today.

Consort Tongjia knew that He Xue had gone to bed late the night before, so she let He Xue sleep in the morning and did not have anyone wake her up.

Xue felt someone crying in her sleep. She thought she was dreaming, but when she opened her eyes, she still heard someone crying.

"Nanxing, Xiabing!" He Xue called out.

Nanxing, Xia Bing heard He Xue's voice and pushed open the door to come in, "Princess, what's wrong? Were you dreaming?"

"No, is someone crying?" Kazuyuki asked.

"When the princess heard that Consort De had come to pay her respects to the Imperial Concubine, she started crying for some reason!" Xia Bing said.

After hearing Xia Bing's words, He Xue was puzzled. She was quite a distance from the main hall of Chengqian Palace, so how could she hear Consort De's voice from such a distance? Was it some kind of ear-piercing magic?

Xue was thankful it was daytime; if it had been night, she would have been terrified! Just thinking about it now gives her goosebumps!

"Hurry and help me get dressed! We can't let Consort De bully my aunt!" He Xue said.

Nanxing and Xia Bingke both saw He Xue's posture yesterday, which seemed to indicate that she was about to fight Consort De to the death, and they thought that He Xue was going to fight Consort De to the death again.

Nanxing hurriedly advised, "Princess, you mustn't act impulsively! Consort De was personally appointed by the Emperor, and she is also the birth mother of the Fourth Prince. You mustn't do anything to her, lest you ruin your relationship with the Fourth Prince!"

“Yes, Princess! Nanxing is right!” Xia Bing also said.

He Xue knew that Nan Xing and Xia Bing were probably thinking the wrong thing because of what happened yesterday. "Don't worry! I won't act impulsively. Isn't Consort De good at scheming and plotting? Today I'll use a straightforward strategy to let her know that Chengqian Palace isn't a place she can come and go as she pleases!"

Solving problems with violence is incompetent; solving problems with wisdom is the wise approach!

Nanxing and Xia Bing were full of doubt. What was this "open conspiracy"? Why couldn't they understand what Xue was saying?

"You two hurry up, we can't let Consort De leave!"

He Xue already knew that Consort De would come to Chengqian Palace to cry every day, but she would leave after crying for a while. She would just cry and complain that Consort Tongjia had taken her son and ask Consort Tongjia to return the Fourth Prince to her.

At the same time, Consort De did this simply to evoke Emperor Kangxi's pity.

There are now rumors circulating in the palace that Consort Tongjia, unable to have children of her own, is stealing other people's children.

The reason why the eighth princess did not survive was because Consort Tongjia stole Consort De's child, causing Consort De and her child to be separated. The Eternal Heaven could not bear to see this, so it made Consort Tongjia experience the pain of death.

Some say that the Fourth Prince disliked his birth mother because of her low social status, and therefore refused to acknowledge her, which was extremely unfilial.

Xue was fortunate that these rumors did not reach Chengqian Palace, otherwise Consort Tongjia would have been furious!

Emperor Kangxi must have been involved in this. I wonder if he was able to find out who was behind it?

Consort De was born into a bondservant family, and the relationships within such families are complex and intertwined, so it's probably not so easy to find out.

She was determined that Consort De should not leave so easily today.

After thinking for a moment, He Xue said to Nan Xing with a rather helpless tone, "Nan Xing, go find He Zhu and tell him to tell the Crown Prince to find a way to get the Emperor's uncle to come to Chengqian Palace!"

He Xue was at her wit's end. She wanted to find the Fourth Prince, but she couldn't very well let him plot against his own mother with her. As for the First Prince and the Third Prince, they were not even on He Xue's radar; she didn't want to involve them.

Moreover, she didn't trust the eldest prince and the third prince; one was a warrior, and the other a bookworm.

If Emperor Kangxi were to expose her, she might become an asset to Consort De.

So the only option was to send someone to find the Crown Prince.

"Yes, Princess, this servant will go right away!" Nanxing thought that Xue had forgiven the Crown Prince after a night together!

Looking at He Xue, who was standing tall and proud, Xia Bing wondered why He Xue seemed to be going to fight. Was she seeing things?

When Xue arrived at the main hall, Consort De was kneeling in front of Consort Tongjia, saying, "Your Highness, please let Yinzhen return to my side!"

"I no longer have the Sixth Prince, only Yinzhen left. Please, have pity on me!"

"Aunt!" He Xue went directly to Consort Tongjia's side.

Consort Tongjia was thoroughly annoyed by Consort De, who pulled this stunt almost every day.

If she really wanted to go back to Yinzhen, that would be fine, but every time she did, she would just cry a few times and then leave.

She realized that Consort De was trying to ruin her reputation, but she couldn't do anything to Consort De because she didn't want to implicate Yinzhen.

"Did you sleep well?" Consort Tongjia managed a weak smile when she saw He Xue.

"No, I was sleeping soundly when I was woken up by crying. I thought it was a ghost in broad daylight!" He Xue said to Consort De in an annoyed tone.
