Chapter 6 The Crown Prince Embracing the Snow

After analyzing the First Prince and the Third Prince, He Xue looked at the Fourth Prince. The current Fourth Prince was just a baby a few years older than herself, and he didn't look like the chubby orange from "Empresses in the Palace" at all.

How did such an adorable little baby become such a chubby orange cat? Does she not like to exercise? She must urge the Fourth Prince to exercise more in the future, not to overwork himself, and to learn to balance work and rest. Look how much Qianlong knows how to enjoy life! He can go to the south of the Yangtze River whenever he wants.

Although she couldn't change the others, He Xue felt that the Fourth Prince was still a possibility, after all, with Consort Tongjia around, they were practically siblings! The general direction couldn't be changed, but the minor things could still be altered!

Of course, she wouldn't expect to change history; she didn't have that ability. History would just stay the way it was!

Finally, He Xue looked at the Crown Prince, and he was indeed as she had imagined: his face was angular and his eyes were dark and deep, exuding nobility and elegance!

Seeing that He Xue was staring at him and smiling, the Crown Prince thought that He Xue must like him. "Mother Tong, does He Xue like me?"

"Of course, He Xue was drooling while looking at you!" Consort Tongjia also noticed that He Xue was staring at the Crown Prince with a silly grin, her eyes practically glued to him.

He Xue roared inwardly, "Those were starry eyes! Not a silly grin!"

“A little baby sees everyone like this!” the eldest prince said from the side, wanting to do the opposite of the crown prince.

The prince didn't mind, "Mother Tong, may I hug her?"

"Second brother, do you know how to hold her? Don't drop her!" the eldest prince said, partly to undermine his second brother, and partly because he was genuinely worried that He Xue would fall.

"Brother, I will be careful!" the Crown Prince said.

Seeing the Crown Prince's expectant gaze, Consort Tongjia couldn't refuse. "Alright!" she said, carefully handing Hexue to the Crown Prince.

The Crown Prince imitated Consort Tongjia's posture when receiving He Xue.

"Too small!" the prince thought to himself. "It's so soft, and it seems to smell like milk!"

The Crown Prince didn't dare to breathe too loudly, afraid of frightening He Xue, as this was the first time he had ever held such a small child.

Consort Tongjia looked at the Crown Prince and saw that he was not holding a child, but rather carrying a bomb. She helped the Crown Prince adjust his position and said, "Your Highness, relax. He Xue is just a child. It's not that scary!"

"Mother Tong, I'm worried she might fall!" the Crown Prince said anxiously.

"As long as you hold on tight, that's fine!" Consort Tongjia said with a smile.

After hearing the Crown Prince's words, the eldest prince also walked to the Crown Prince's side and carefully watched him, so that he could catch He Xue in time if the Crown Prince fell.

The Third Prince and the Fourth Prince also curiously gathered around and teased He Xue.

Kangxi looked at the Crown Prince and smiled knowingly. The Crown Prince seemed a bit childlike today. In the past, the Crown Prince always seemed mature beyond his years. Kangxi even wondered if he had assigned the Crown Prince too much homework.

Although He Xue really wanted to play with the princes for a while, her baby strength didn't allow it, and she soon fell asleep again.

When the Crown Prince saw that He Xue had closed her eyes, he prepared to hand her over to the wet nurse, only to find that He Xue's little hand was hooked on his clothes.

The Crown Prince looked at Consort Tongjia with a pained expression: "Mother Tong, what is this?"

Consort Tongjia said with a smile, "It seems that He Xue really likes the Crown Prince!"

Although the Crown Prince was happy that He Xue liked him, did he have to keep holding He Xue like this forever?

"Second Prince, just keep holding her! Otherwise, you'll wake He Xue up, and she'll start crying!" the eldest prince said gloatingly.

Kangxi looked at the Crown Prince's bitter face and laughed unkindly. This is how a Crown Prince should look at his age!

"Baocheng, I don't think Hexue will wake up anytime soon. Why don't you send Hexue back later?" Kangxi joked from the side.

"Ah?" the crown prince said with a bitter face.

Consort Tongjia couldn't help but laugh when she saw the Crown Prince's face scrunched up like a bun. "It's alright, children don't sleep long, he should wake up soon."

The Crown Prince nodded. Actually, it wasn't a bad thing to keep holding He Xue like this; she was soft and not very heavy. He was just worried that He Xue might accidentally fall.
