Chapter 98 The Crown Prince Expresses His Feelings

He Xue rode her horse slowly, and as she gradually got used to the speed, she asked, "Second Brother, can we go a little faster?"

"No, you've only just learned to ride a horse, this speed is fine!" Shuyi firmly disagreed with Hexue's request.

"Second brother, can you hurry up a little bit?" He Xue gestured with her finger to indicate the "little bit" she was referring to.

"Shuyi, it's alright, we're here! You have to be fast on horseback!" Shen Zhixing said to Shuyi.

“This horse was personally selected by Longkodo, so it will be fine. Besides, there are three of us grown men here. How could we let He Xue get hurt?” Xu Fengbai also joined in persuading Shu Yi.

"Second Brother!" He Xue called out to Shu Yi in a coquettish tone.

"I really can't do anything with you! I can only go a little faster!" Shuyi gestured as she had just said to Xue.

"Great, Second Brother is the best!" Xue cheered.

"Be careful, sit tight!" Shuyi was terrified when she saw that Hexue had actually loosened the reins.

He Xue stuck out her tongue, "I understand!"

He Xue gently stroked the horse's mane. "Horse, horse, can we go a little faster?"

A horse was seen exhaling puffs of white steam from its nostrils, yet it continued to move forward at a snail's pace.

"Second brother, it's bullying me!" He Xue said, pointing at the horse and pouting.

Shuyi, Shen Zhixing, and Xu Fengbai were all amused by He Xue and burst into laughter.

"Second Brother, you're still laughing!" He Xue said, displeased.

"Okay, okay! Stop laughing!" Shuyi suppressed her laughter, patted the horse, and then the horse sped up.

As soon as Shen Zhixing and Xu Fengbai whistled, two horses that were grazing in the distance immediately ran over, and the two mounted their horses to accompany He Xue on either side.

He and Xue rode their horse, not very fast, but they were very satisfied. They knew that she would be able to experience what it meant to ride at lightning speed in the future.

He Xue saw the Crown Prince and Jing Shu waving to them from afar.

The crown prince was so frightened by the sight that he stood up and dared not speak loudly, for fear of startling the horse and frightening He Xue.

What's going on with Shuyi? How could she let Hexue ride a horse by herself?!

Seeing this, Longkodo said to the Crown Prince, "Your Highness, rest assured, the book will be handled with care and will not harm Hexue."

Shen Zhixing and Xu Fengbai are also there; they won't let anything happen to He Xue!

"It's only because my brother-in-law loves Xue that they've been abandoned; otherwise, they would have been thrown into the horse farm long ago!"

The crown prince remained silent, his lips pursed as he gazed intently in He Xue's direction.

"Your Highness, what do you think of Shen Zhixing and Xu Fengbai?" Longkodo asked.

"They look alright, I guess!" the Crown Prince said. Xue wasn't praising their beauty, so she meant they were alright.

He didn't have much contact with these two people, but at such a young age, being promoted to deputy general by Su Hetai must mean he had exceptional abilities.

"These two were chosen by my brother-in-law for He Xue!" Because of what had just happened, Longkodo already considered the Crown Prince as one of his own, which is why he told the Crown Prince such a confidential matter.

"What do you mean?" the crown prince asked stiffly.

“My brother-in-law plans to choose one of these two men as Xue’s husband. Which one does the Crown Prince think is suitable?” Longkodo asked, looking at the two men in the distance.

If the Crown Prince hadn't known that Longkodo was unaware of his thoughts, he would have thought that Longkodo was doing it on purpose, how could every word he uttered be so hurtful!

"None of them are suitable!" the Crown Prince said with a dark face.

"What's wrong with it?" Longkodo asked.

Jing Shu noticed the Crown Prince's change; something was off about him.

"Uncle, it looks like someone's looking for you over there! You should go check it out!" Jing Shu said to Long Keduo. His uncle was usually quite shrewd, so what was wrong with him today? Had he drunk too much water? Was he drunk? Didn't you see the Crown Prince's face was dark?

“Really? Then I’ll go take a look!” Longkodo said.

"Your Highness, please excuse me!" Longkodo said, bowing to the prince.

The Crown Prince nodded. Luckily, Longkodo had left. If Longkodo hadn't left and had said anything more, he might have beaten him. How dare he ask him to choose a husband for He Xue right in front of him? Was he crazy? Or was Longkodo crazy?

"Your Highness, it seems you're not entirely satisfied with what your uncle just said?" Jing Shu asked tentatively. An idea was forming in his mind, but he wasn't sure, and he urgently needed to confirm it with the Crown Prince.

"I am extremely dissatisfied!" the crown prince said without any hesitation.

"Your Highness, is there a suitable candidate?" Jing Shu asked, adding fuel to the fire.

"Jing Shu, I don't believe you didn't understand what I meant?" the Crown Prince said with a gloomy expression.

"This servant dares not presume to know the Crown Prince's meaning!"

"Alright! I can tell you clearly! I want to marry He Xue!" The Crown Prince felt it necessary to let Su Hetai know his thoughts, otherwise Su Hetai might prepare some random person for He Xue!
