Chapter 17: The silver-haired female soldier with wings looked stern and serious, like Yue...

The black-haired female insect looked at Lanrod, and his misty eyes reflected the exquisite and unparalleled face of the young major general.

"Your Highness, Dr. Geras should be waiting outside." Carrie rubbed his eyes and returned to his normal demeanor.

Lanrod pursed his pale lips slightly and looked at Kerry.

Kairi lowered his head and said, "Your mental barrier is still outside the door. They can't get in."

Lanrod raised his long eyelashes and looked at Carrie for a long time without saying a word.

The mental barrier was set up by him subconsciously, and no one could enter without his permission.

But now the mental barrier is still there, but Kerry came in...

"Withdraw." Lanrod said.

All of a sudden, the female soldiers standing outside began to rush into the room.

"Your Highness, are you okay?!"

"Your Highness, are you okay???"

Geras and his instruments came from outside: "Make way, make way!"

Medical staff followed behind Geras, each carrying a large medical kit.

Kerry looked around and walked quietly out the door.

Lanrod raised his long eyelashes and watched the black-haired female insect leave alone, with a look of dejection on his face.

Control Panel

Carrie didn't want to go back to his room to rest, nor did he want to go to training, so he finally came to the largest training rooftop in the military academy.

This rooftop is very large and most people won’t find it.

Carrie sat alone on the container. He looked up at the fighting planes in the sky, then looked down at the female soldiers training not far away.

Carrie just stared at it in a daze. He felt a little sore in his heart, so swollen that he could only breathe deeply in such a spacious place.

Closing his eyes, all that filled Carrie's mind was the pale face of the silver-haired military female.

Pale and quiet, unparalleled in beauty.

One day later

Carrie took the initiative to accept a small task. This task was simple and could be completed in about three days.

When Carrie boarded the plane, he suddenly heard a discussion coming from the front. The voices were relatively low, but he could still hear them.

"It seems that the partner this time is Kerry." said a female soldier.

"I know him. He seems to be the one following His Highness Lanrod." said another female soldier.

"Oh my god, do you think he wants to seduce His Highness Lanrod? I heard he liked female insects before."

"Holy crap! He actually liked female insects before? How scary!"

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, maybe because he knows that he is only C-rank and no male insect will be interested in him, so he turns to seducing female insects."

"Eh, so disgusting, but he's too delusional. How could His Highness Lanrod possibly like female insects? Besides, there are so many male insects chasing His Highness Lanrod, how could he possibly be the one?"

"Exactly. I heard he hasn't even grown wings yet, so he's considered trash among C-rank female soldiers."

"It's really lucky for this female insect to be able to attend our First Military Academy."

Carrey's steps seemed to be filled with lead. According to his usual character, he would have stepped forward to argue.

But this time, these words seemed to pierce his heart, making him run away.

Pretending not to hear, Carrie exited the control room.

His mind felt foggy, and Kerry leaned against the metal wall and slowly squatted down, as if trying to wrap himself up.

First Legion

After Lanrod recovered, he began to process the remaining military reports. He read the latest information and signed his name.

"You're processing it slower this time than usual." Geras handed a bottle of recovery agent to Lanrod.

"Not bad." Lanrod lowered his eyes.

Geras raised his brows slightly, looking at Lanrod's cold eyes: "It seems that Kerry has accepted a separate mission, but he should be back today."

Lanrod pursed his lips: "Hmm."

Geras walked over to the table, leaned his back against it, and said, "You rarely leave the base, so you might not know that there's been gossip circulating about you and Kerry lately."

Lanrod paused, his slender fingers gripping the silver pen resting on the paper, his long eyelashes slightly raised. "What are you talking about?"

Geras smiled and said, "Didn't you think all this gossip was boring before? Especially when someone talked about you and Shika, you didn't even want to listen."

Lanrod looked up at Geras with a cold expression: "Then don't say it."

Geras waved his hand: "Don't be angry."

"Actually, I didn't say anything. I just wanted to know if Kerry likes you. After all... Kerry liked female insects before."

Click——

The silver pen in Lanrod's hand drew a horizontal line on the paper.

Lanrod looked calm and asked, "Who?"

Geras raised his eyebrows. "It seems to be someone he knew before entering the military academy, a B-rank female insect."

Lanrod's eyes remained unchanged as he lowered his head and said, "I understand."

Geras looked at Lanrod: "That's it?"

Lanrod changed the page and continued reading: "Hmm."

Geras placed his hands on the table and looked at Lanrod inquiringly: "You don't care at all?"

Lanrod lowered his eyelashes: "What do you care about?"

Geras stood up straight. "Okay, I thought you were talking to Kerry... Never mind. Maybe I was wrong. In that case, I won't bother you anymore. Don't forget to take your recovery potion on time."

Outside the door

Kerry's voice was very soft, and when he heard Geras walking out, he immediately hid in the corner.

He heard the conversation between Geras and Lanrod just now. As expected... everyone was overthinking it.

Carrie slid down and sat down against the wall, then touched her chest. It felt sore and swollen, and she felt an uncomfortable pain that she couldn't let go.

Inside the door

After Geras left, Lanrod didn't read a single word.

He closed the document, still thinking about what Geras had just said.

Putting down the silver pen, Lanrod frowned, feeling a kind of annoyance he had never felt before.

Who has Carrie ever loved?

First Military Academy Lounge

"Are you crazy?" Grissom looked at Kerry. "So many people want to stay with Commander Lanrod but don't have the chance. Why are you leaving?"

Kerry lowered his head: "I just felt like I needed to go."

Suddenly, there was a light knock on the head. Kerry raised his head suddenly and asked, "Why are you hitting me?"

Gleeson folded his arms and snorted, "Wake up, you idiot! So many people are dying to be with Commander Lanrod. How can you be so desperate?"

Kerry lowered his head, not knowing what to say.

"Anyway, I will never agree to this. Just stay there!" Grissom said angrily.

"But..." Kerry looked up.

"But what?" Gleeson's eyes sparkled. "Isn't it because of those rumors?"

Carrie pursed her lips: "You already know all those rumors."

Gleeson snorted, "It's normal to have rumors. Those people are just jealous of you! Don't let them fool you! Besides, Commander Lanrod didn't say anything. Why are you running away? Are you crazy?"

Carrie looked at Gleason intently for a few seconds and whispered, "That's not the reason."

Grissom frowned. "Why is that?"

Carrie looked down at the ground and said, "I heard that the air force has training for continuing the military female wings. I want to try to go to the air force and see if I can activate my wings."

Grissom was stunned. He didn't expect Kerry to be thinking about this. He thought for a moment and frowned. "No, the air force targets military females who have already developed wings, not those like you who haven't yet."

"It's too dangerous for you to go there rashly."

Kerry lowered his head even lower: "If I don't take this gamble, I won't be able to grow wings."

A female soldier without wings is simply a joke.

"Well," Grissom patted Kerry's shoulder comfortingly, "don't be impatient. I heard that some female soldiers develop more slowly. Just wait a little longer."

Kerry knew Gleason was trying to comfort him, so he whispered, "I've checked the relevant records. Even if someone develops slowly, they don't develop as late as me."

Grissom choked and suddenly didn't know what to say.

evening

First Legion

Lanrod frowned as he looked at the report in front of him and said in a cold voice, "You want to apply to join the air force?"

The silver-haired female soldier had a stern and solemn expression, like a snow-capped mountain under the moonlight, clear and cold.
