105 Robbed

105 Robbed

The bus to Huicheng was full and departed at 2:30.

Gao Qinghe and his friend bought a lot of food to eat on the way.

There were a total of fifty passengers on the bus, which was a relief for Huang Yanqiu, who needed to be vigilant at all times.

Along the way, the driver would stop every two hours for everyone to use the restroom and take a short break.

At seven o'clock in the evening, the bus stopped at a larger service station along the way.

The driver said, "We'll stop for an hour. If you need to eat or go to the bathroom, please do so as soon as possible. Please take your valuables with you. We are not responsible if you lose them!"

The passengers got off the bus one after another and put their unimportant luggage on the bus.

Gao Qinghe and Huang Yanqiu's buttocks were numb from sitting so much. Although they were not hungry, they followed the group and got off the bus to get some fresh air.

There is fast food in the service station, and the price is one or two dollars more expensive than other places.

But in this place where there is no village or shop nearby, this is the only choice. Although everyone thinks it is too expensive, they still have to eat it.

Huang Yanqiu couldn't resist the temptation and couldn't help swallowing when she saw the child next to her eating a big, delicious grilled sausage.

"Cousin, let's go in and take a look."

As he said that, he pulled Gao Qinghe and walked inside.

The sun had already set, and the restaurant was quite cool inside because of the electric fans.

Huang Yanqiu looked at all the windows and bought a bowl of fried noodles and a sausage.

Gao Qinghe was also whetted by the aroma of the food and bought a serving of fried dumplings and a bottle of drink.

The two found an empty seat and sat down to eat.

Huang Yanqiu ate and drank her fill, wiped her mouth contentedly, and asked:

"How long will it take to get to Huicheng?"

Gao Qinghe calculated the time and said, "We are already halfway through the journey. It will take another five hours to get there."

Huang Yanqiu nodded and planned to take a nap in the car.

An hour passed quickly, the passengers returned to the bus, the driver counted the number of people, and set off again.

After driving out of the service station, there was no light on the road.

All I could see were two car lights emitting long beams of light, moving quickly through the darkness.

The noise in the car gradually died down and most people fell asleep.

Huang Yanqiu slept for three hours and just woke up. She patted Gao Qinghe's shoulder and signaled that she could rest assured.

Gao Qinghe was not sleepy. Looking at the shadows of trees and mountains swept by the car lights outside the window, his heart beat inexplicably faster.

The two of them were seated in the first row next to the door, and they could see the driver's every move just by looking up.

It was a long journey of more than ten hours, but there was only one driver.

Gao Qinghe was not very reassured.

As soon as I saw the driver yawning, I started chatting with him.

With the last hour left in the journey to Huicheng, snoring sounds rose and fell in the carriage.

The driver took a puff of his cigarette and said to Gao Qinghe with a smile:

"Go ahead and sleep if you want. Don't worry. I've been driving this road for seven or eight years, even before the national highway was built, and I've never taken a nap."

Gao Qinghe asked him curiously, "Brother, have you ever been robbed in all these years?"

The driver recalled and said in surprise: "Many people have encountered this, but I really haven't."

"Maybe I walk more at night. It's dark out here in the wilderness, so it's harder to rob people at night. It's easier to encounter them during the day."

Having said that, he told Gao Qinghe to stop thinking about it.

This route has always been fixed and the traffic volume is quite heavy.

Robbers are not fools. They only rob on small roads and rarely intercept buses on national highways.

Besides, it's already the middle of the night, and the robbers are also human beings. Human beings need to sleep, so how could they have the energy to do this?

But as soon as the driver finished saying this, Gao Qinghe's eyelids suddenly twitched twice.

The system alarm also sounded at the same time.

[Host, please stop the driver immediately! ]

"parking!"

The moment the system sound fell, Gao Qinghe immediately shouted.

The sound came suddenly, and the driver startled and instinctively stepped on the brakes.

My mind, which was a little numb, suddenly came to my senses and I saw a patch of tiny reflections in front of the car.

Years of driving experience allowed the driver to slam the brakes, which were a bit soft, all the way down at this moment!

The sleeping passengers were awakened by the sudden brakes, their eyes filled with confusion as to what was happening.

Only a few people realized that something might have happened and asked in panic, "What happened, Master?"

Huang Yanqiu shouted, "What's that in front?"

Gao Qinghe and the other person were sitting near the front, so as soon as the car stopped, they saw a row of wooden boards illuminated by lights outside the front window.

The wooden boards were full of nails, and the sharp nails were clearly visible under the car lights.

At this time, the front of the car was less than three meters away from the row of nails.

If the driver had stepped on the brakes a second later, the tire would have run over it.

The driver realized what had happened and wiped the cold sweat from his neck with relief.

"Who is so wicked as to drop a nail board on the road? It almost killed someone..."

Huang Yanqiu looked at the dark shadows swaying in the grass not far away and said coldly:

"Is it possible that it was released intentionally? We were hit by a robbery."

Hearing her words, the passengers in the car felt a pang of trepidation.

Suddenly, a stone came crashing down.

Huang Yanqiu quickly grabbed Gao Qinghe's head and lay down with her in her arms.

"Crash!" With a loud bang, broken glass flew out from the front window, and the passengers in the front screamed and dodged.

The driver thought to himself, "It's over."

He didn't care about the glass fragments flying at him, and hurriedly shouted to stop the panicked passengers.

"Don't panic, we're many in number. Be careful to avoid the rocks! Men, protect the women and children!"

The system reminded Gao Qinghe: [Host, if you abandon all passengers now, open the door, get out, and escape from the back, your success rate will be as high as 90%.]

Gao Qinghe thought she would panic, but she wasn't at all. Her adrenaline was surging, but her brain was terribly calm.

A quick glance at the passengers on the bus showed that most of them were young men and women, with a few elderly people and children.

She had seen a lot of news about robberies in her previous life, and she knew what these robbers would do to the passengers in the car.

The best case scenario is to take the property.

In the worst case scenario, not only will they take away all your belongings, they will also attack vulnerable women. If they are pushed to the limit, a fight may break out and even result in loss of life.

Gao Qinghe was thankful that the system reminded him in time and the tire had not been punctured.

Pushing away Huang Yanqiu who was pressing on him, Gao Qinghe rushed to the driver's cab with a bag on his head.

To the driver who was trying to remain calm and searching for his weapon:

"Turn around immediately!"

Hearing her words, the panicked passengers hurriedly urged: "Yes, yes, yes! Turn around quickly!"

As he was speaking, stones came crashing down on him.

Huang Yanqiu pulled the fearless Gao Qinghe away, picked up the stone that rolled to her feet and threw it out with her backhand!

She didn't know what so many people in the car were afraid of. The people on the opposite side all showed up, and there were only six of them in total.

There were so many people in their car that if each person threw a stone, they could bury the six people on the opposite side.

However, when the sound of a hunting log was heard, Huang Yanqiu's heart suddenly tightened uncontrollably.

How do they still have wooden warehouses?!

Just when Huang Yanqiu was unwilling to accept the defeat, all the passengers who were about to stand up squatted down.

Even the driver who was about to start the bus instinctively froze for a moment.
