289 You only have children in your eyes

It took a lot of effort for Ouyang Yan to calm down from her emotional breakdown.

I noticed that it was very quiet behind me, so I turned around and saw Zhou Zhenghua quietly cleaning up the mess on the ground.

The clothes were put back into the basin, the foam was washed away with clean water, and Zhou Zhenghua filled a new basin with water, poured in detergent and scrubbed the clothes under the faucet.

This basin is basically filled with the child's clothes, as well as a set of dirty clothes he had changed out of.

He didn't say anything, just washed quietly and finished rubbing it quickly.

Ouyang Yan's heart softened. She took a deep breath, wiped the tears from her face with the back of her hand, squatted over, picked up a piece of children's clothing that he had not rinsed clean, and rinsed it again.

The couple looked at each other and said nothing, but just washed the basin of clothes together.

"I'll do it."

Zhou Zhenghua picked up the washed clothes and went to the backyard to hang them up.

When she returned to the house, Ouyang Yan had calmed down and was sitting at the table, holding her child and feeding her.

Her eyes were still red. When she heard the noise, she looked up at him.

Seeing the man like this, she suddenly felt that she had been a little impulsive, and asked with a little guilt:

"When are you going?"

Zhou Zhenghua smiled slightly and said, "If you don't want to go, then don't go."

After saying that, he lowered his head, put away the laundry basin, picked up the rice cooker and washed the rice.

The room remained silent, with only the sound of the baby sucking.

Zhou Zhenghua put the rice pot on the coal stove, opened the stove door wide, clapped his hands and walked into the house.

He stood at the table, maybe for a moment, maybe a minute or two.

After a long silence, a man's deep voice rang out from the room, slowly stating:

"Ever since you had your child, you've been obsessed with your child. You coax your child to sleep first, you put down what you're doing and hug her when she cries, and you ignore everything else and rush to her when she's hungry..."

Ouyang Yan interrupted him and asked doubtfully, "What do you want to say?"

"Yanzi." Zhou Zhenghua looked up at her deeply and accused her, "Have you noticed that since you had a child, all you care about is the child. Do you still have me, your husband, in your heart?"

"What?" Ouyang Yan was a little confused. She suddenly found that she couldn't understand what people were saying.

What does it mean that ever since she had a child, she only has eyes for the child and not for her husband?

She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but couldn't. She suddenly felt that she had no way to defend herself.

All she has in her eyes now is her child. Is this what she wants?

"I......"

"Hey, you knew to cook the meal first today!"

Ouyang Yan's voice was interrupted. She wanted to continue communicating when Mrs. Zhong came into the house excitedly carrying vegetables.

Seeing that the atmosphere at the table was not right with his son and daughter-in-law, he snorted and immediately put down the basket and walked over.

"Here, give me the grass. Go pick the beans and eggplant. Let's stir-fry them tonight. Zhenghua loves them the most. He finally has a day off. Let him rest a little longer."

Having said that, he didn't give Ouyang Yan any chance to speak and grabbed the child into his arms.

The child was eating happily when he was suddenly interrupted and cried pitifully.

Mrs. Zhong acted as if nothing had happened, carried the child out of the house, and pointed at the sunset in the sky and the leaves by the wall to divert her attention.

The child had just eaten until he was about 70% full, and was attracted by the new food, so he gradually stopped crying.

Ouyang Yan's heart settled down and she stood up to pick vegetables.

Ouyang Yan felt a little comforted that Zhou Zhenghua was coming to help.

She couldn't help but think that she was too impulsive just now. Coupled with the man's accusation, she felt a sense of guilt towards him for no reason. She blocked the man's move to help, picked the vegetables and fried them herself.

When Ouyang Yan saw the dishes on the table, she couldn't believe that she had cooked them herself.

Before she got married, she had never even entered the kitchen at home.

After work, I eat in the cafeteria, and they can’t even make scrambled eggs with tomatoes.

But now, I can actually make these few decent dishes.

My mother-in-law, Mrs. Zhong’s cooking skills are actually not bad, but her dishes are either too little oil or too little salt. She ate so much that she felt like vomiting during the confinement period.

Now that I think about it, although cooking is hard work, it’s a good thing if the food I make is to my taste.

At night, Zhou Zhenghua took the initiative to come to Ouyang Yan's room.

Ouyang Yan was a little surprised, but more delighted.

However, that joy was soon diluted by the fact that his physical condition had not yet fully recovered.

Due to health reasons, Ouyang Yan rejected her husband who rarely took the initiative.

"I went for a checkup today, and the doctor said to rest for another two months. After six months, it should be fine."

She whispered expectantly and shyly.

"It's okay, your health is important." Zhou Zhenghua comforted.

To ease the awkwardness, go see the children.

Ouyang Yan felt more and more guilty. Although she felt that she should not feel guilty about it, this emotion just rose up, involuntarily and completely out of her control.

In today's environment, as long as a man can support the family, does not beat his wife, does not gamble, and does not have an affair, he is a perfect man.

A woman, a wife, who cannot satisfy a good man's desires in a timely manner should feel guilty.

Because it was all her fault, it was her problem, it was because her body couldn't recover sooner.

And what about Zhou Zhenghua?

He has already taken the initiative to express his understanding and is so considerate. What could he have done wrong?

"Brother Zhenghua."

Ouyang Yan looked expectantly at her husband who was making her daughter happy, and called him tenderly and lovingly.

"What happened this afternoon, I..."

"What?" Zhou Zhenghua turned around and asked in confusion.

Ouyang Yan's courage, which she had finally mustered, was interrupted. She took a deep breath and tried to reorganize her words to continue with the emotions and problems that she had not resolved this afternoon.

Zhou Zhenghua happened to yawn, bent down and kissed his daughter's face, picked up his clothes and stood up and said:

"It's getting late, you should go to bed early too."

After saying that, he strode out of the room and went to the small cubicle next door.

Out of that little bit of self-esteem, Ouyang Yan really couldn't open her mouth to ask him to stay.

Forget it, she thought helplessly, just continue to live in this muddle.

It will be fine.

It will be fine when the child grows up.

But what if the woman who becomes his wife is not me?

Will he continue to live in this muddle?

......

"A-choo!"

As soon as Gao Qinghe rode his bicycle to the doorstep, he couldn't help but sneeze loudly.

Jiang Qiyue, who was wrapped in a sling in front of him and was quiet and obedient, was startled by his mother's sneeze.

The little guy stared blankly with his big black eyes, a little confused, not knowing where the thunder was coming from.

Qi Lianxin returned home early and kept an eye on the situation at the door.

Seeing the mother and daughter coming back, he excitedly went out to greet them. Hearing his daughter-in-law sneeze, he asked with concern:

"Why did you come back so late? Did you get caught in the wind on the way?"

He quickly untied his granddaughter and held her in his arms, urging Gao Qinghe to go into the house and put on some clothes.

Gao Qinghe shook his head, rubbed the tip of his nose, and said it was okay.

"I don't know which bastard is cursing me in his heart!"

I pushed my bike into the yard and just parked it when I couldn't help but sneeze twice in a row.

Well, now I’m really cold because of the wind.
