365 Night Market

365 Night Market

Nine-thirty in the evening is the busiest time at the night market street near the provincial capital railway station.

The excitement often lasts until one or two in the morning.

In fact, there is not only one night market street at the railway station in the city. In addition, there are also two other spots: Riverside Park and People's Square.

However, the railway station is a special location with the largest flow of people and the largest night market, making it more valuable for reference than the other two locations.

During the day, Jiang Chengzu and his wife came out of the train station.

The return to the city is coming to an end, but there are still people coming and going near the train station during the day. At a glance, there are black heads everywhere, carrying large and small bags, rushing to the buses sent from various construction sites.

The bustling crowd was frightening to look at.

At night, the train station was dazzled by the colorful neon lights flashing brightly in the darkness.

Gao Qinghe and the other two came here by taxi. As soon as they got off the car, they could smell the tempting air mixed with various ingredients and spices.

The person who was already full swallowed unconsciously under the stimulation of such a strong aroma.

"Brother and sister-in-law, please walk next to me. Don't get lost."

There are many people and many stalls, Gao Qinghe reminded loudly.

Li Fang simply held her hand and held her husband's hand to avoid getting separated.

Gao Qinghe felt the scorching heat coming from his hand, and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly. This scorching heat was the same as the one he felt in the snow in his previous life.

The night market street is very long, with a main street running through the north and south, and three alleys extending on the east and west sides.

Gao Qinghe led them along the main street. The shops that were open during the day were now closed.

Specially made carts were parked in front of these shops, with the folding tables and plastic benches laid out one by one, the stoves lit, and the goods sold on the spot.

The temperature in the early spring nights was only seven or eight degrees, but the owners of the night market were busy and sweating.

The bosses fry and sell the food at the same time, and the aroma is so fragrant that it makes people very hungry just by looking at it.

On one street, there are stalls selling fried rice noodles, fried rice, fried skewers and barbecued meat, cooked food and braised food, as well as self-service hot dishes.

This hot dish is that the stall owner puts out pots of meat and vegetables prepared in advance, and diners take their own bowls, put in the dishes they want to eat, and take as much as they want. The stall owner then helps cook it and pours the sauce on it according to their taste.

This hot dish is the most popular at the night market. It is affordable and the portion is large. The stall owner also gives away two quail eggs for free.

If it is midsummer, there should be shops selling crayfish and snails, as well as various dessert and ice drink shops.

However, just what they saw now was already an eye-opener for Jiang Chengzu and his wife.

Thanks to the huge flow of people at the train station, even if the entire street is filled with stalls, there are customers in front of every stall.

Of course, there are also a few stalls that look particularly unhygienic. There is no one in front of the stalls. The stall owners are jealous of others’ good business.

The shops with the best business have queues stretching ten meters long.

Gao Qinghe curiously leaned over to take a look. One stall sold hot dishes, one sold barbecued and fried skewers, and another sold fried rice.

From this we can see that these three items are currently the mainstream at night market stalls.

There were also a few stalls selling clothes and accessories, but business was average, so we were obviously in the wrong place.

People who come to the night market are all foodies, and few people stop for clothes.

Of course, if you are lucky, you may also encounter a group of female workers coming from the garment factory two kilometers away for a large raid.

After walking down the street, the three of them looked hungry.

Li Fang was most interested in the fried skewers, because they were rarely found in Qing County and could only be found during the New Year holidays or major festivals.

And the taste is quite average. I really want to eat it before I eat it, but after buying it and taking a few bites, I feel that it is a waste of money.

But the one with the longest queue at the night market is obviously different. It has two large oil woks and more than twenty kinds of skewers to choose from.

"I want to buy a bowl of hot pot, brother and sister-in-law, how about we buy some and find a restaurant to sit down and eat together?" Gao Qinghe suggested.

Jiang Chengzu and Li Fang nodded in agreement, and the three of them went their separate ways. After buying everything, they would gather at Gao Qinghe's hot pot restaurant.

Because the hot pot restaurant has a storefront, many tables and chairs, and the place is the most spacious.

Li Xiu went to queue up to buy fried skewers, and Jiang Chengzu went to queue up to buy fried rice. He wanted to try whether the fried rice could be fried into flowers.

All three of them had to queue up, and no one waited longer than the other.

Half an hour later, Jiang Chengzu and Li Fang, who had finally bought something, came over excitedly with their bowls in their hands to meet Gao Qinghe.

When the owner of the hot pot restaurant saw that the two of them were carrying food from other places, he did not chase them away. Instead, he smiled and joked with them, saying that he had not had the chance to try the food from those two places, and asked Li Xiu and his wife to remember to save some for him to try.

Jiang Chengzu responded awkwardly.

Li Fang was secretly happy, thinking that the boss was just being polite and not to take it seriously.

The three of them sat around a small table. Gao Qinghe ordered a full bowl of hot dishes, making him the most generous customer in the restaurant.

Li Fang laughed: "No wonder the boss was joking with us. I was afraid that they would chase us away just now. Now that I see your big bowl, I feel relieved!"

Gao Qinghe handed the chopsticks to the two of them, and asked for two bowls to share with them.

Jiang Chengzu and Li Fang awkwardly took the small bowl of hot dishes, looked at the food they bought, and regretted why they forgot to take two more bowls.

Gao Qinghe, noticing the embarrassment between the two, waved his hands and said with a smile, "It's okay, I've eaten all of this before. Hurry up and eat it, or it'll get cold."

The couple, who were over 40 years old, looked at the considerate brother and sister-in-law in front of them, smiled embarrassedly, and picked up the bowls.

There is a reason why the hot pot restaurant is doing so well. The soup base is very rich and the flavor is something Gao Qinghe has never tasted before. It is unique and delicious.

Jiang Chengzu's evaluation of scrambled eggs was average, "I don't understand why the business is so good. It's not as good as the one your sister-in-law makes for me with leftover rice."

Li Fang didn't believe it and took a bite. "I think it's okay, but not enough to make me queue up."

"How are your fried skewers? They smell so good that I'm craving them." Jiang Chengzu urged his wife to try the fried skewers.

Under the expectant gaze of the two, Li Fang ate a string of pork belly and then a string of bean curd. She added too much chili and tears quickly flashed in the corners of her eyes, but she was reluctant to stop eating.

The spicy flavor of fried skewers is so addictive.

Li Fang was speechless. She just put two skewers into Gao Qinghe and Jiang Chengzu's bowls, signaled them with her eyes to try them quickly, and then she immediately ate the third skewer.

Gao Qinghe and Jiang Chengzu looked at each other suspiciously, picked up the spicy fried skewers and put them in their mouths.

Gao Qinghe still remembered the scene yesterday when she and her daughter cried because of the spicy food, and she carefully took a bite of the potato chips.

The potatoes were soft and crispy, and the spicy flavor of the chili peppers mixed in with them created an indescribable and tempting aroma. After taking one bite, she wanted to eat another. It was much more delicious than what she bought yesterday.

Li Fang looked over with tearful eyes, and the three of them nodded frantically in agreement.

Delicious, absolutely amazing!
