Xie Jing Xing looked at her in confusion and said, "I understand. You're not well yet, so stop trying."
“It’s just a flesh wound.” Shen Miao took the initiative and said, “Let’s go out.”
She was a bit unusual after waking up today. Firstly, Shen Miao was not the playful type, and secondly, she seemed much more approachable than before. She used to be a bit pretentious. Although she didn't know why she always acted so pretentious, Shen Miao was a person with a strong sense of self-esteem. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been in a cold war with Xie Jingxing for so long. She was so proactive and almost ingratiating, which surprised Xie Jingxing.
He narrowed his eyes and asked, "Did you do something to offend me behind my back?"
“Yeah.” Shen Miao nodded seriously.
"Is it related to Pei Lang?" Xie Jingxing's face turned cold.
Shen Miao took a deep breath. She felt that Xie Jingxing's character really couldn't be tolerated. What kind of deviation had his thoughts gone? She then returned to her usual demeanor and asked, "Are you going or not?"
She was so upset that it was hard to tell. Before Xie Jingxing could say anything, he heard a voice behind him saying, "Go."
Gao Yang walked in, looked at Shen Miao and said, "I heard you woke up, so I came to check on you. The wound was just a flesh wound, it didn't reach the inside at all, it's nothing serious." He then said to Xie Jingxing, "You should go out and stretch your muscles. You've been staying indoors these days and haven't been out in the sun. The weather is nice, just don't come back too late."
He picked up the medical kit in the room and left.
Xie Jingxing and Shen Miao sat face to face in silence for a moment. Xie Jingxing smiled and asked, "What do you want to play?"
“I haven’t been out for a stroll since I came to Longye.” Shen Miao said, “I’m not very familiar with Longye either. Let’s just walk around and tell me about the things here.” Shen Miao suddenly remembered something and said, “Oh right, that day I was in the pavilion outside the Bixiao Tower and asked Bajiao to buy a lot of fireworks. I think they’re still there. Take those with you.”
"Why are you watching fireworks in broad daylight?" Xie Jingxing stared at her: "Is your brain injured too?"
Shen Miao asked in return, “Have you ever seen fireworks in the daytime?”
Xie Jingxing said: "Everyone has seen stupid people before."
“I’ve seen it.” Shen Miao replied.
Xie Jingxing stared at her in confusion.
"The fireworks at night are beautiful, and the ones during the day are no less beautiful. If you haven't seen it, I'll take you to see it." Shen Miao smiled slightly and was about to get out of bed. However, she had been lying in bed for the past few days, and her legs and feet were very sore. When she got out of bed, she gasped in pain.
Seeing this, Xie Jing Xing stood up with a smile, crossed his arms and looked at her as if he was watching a good show: "Do you want me to help you?"
“Will you?” Shen Miao knew from his expression that he had no good intentions.
Xie Jingxing said, “If you beg me, I will help you.” He leaned forward, as if he wanted to listen carefully to Shen Miao’s submissive words to him.
Shen Miao felt that Xie Jingxing's personality was truly unpredictable. He was clearly strong and somewhat overbearing, and even as a teenager, he possessed a scheming and calculating mindset that adults could hardly match. Yet, right now, he seemed like a mischievous teenager, never tired of teasing others.
She stared at Xie Jingxing's handsome and heroic profile, and suddenly something came to her mind. She simply kissed Xie Jingxing on the cheek.
Xie Jingxing was stunned, Shen Miao averted her gaze and looked at the sachet hanging on the headboard of the bed.
“Chen Miao,” Xie Jingxing frowned at her, “You are seriously ill. We need to ask Gao Yang to come and see you again.” He was about to leave when Shen Miao got anxious and stopped him, “Xie Jingxing!”
He paused, and turned around again, but his expression was mischievous. Shen Miao knew she had been tricked and felt regretful, but she saw Xie Jingxing burst into laughter, suddenly walked forward and picked her up horizontally. Shen Miao subconsciously hooked her arms around his neck.
