Extra: Happy times on the boat (Part 2)
Ji Qingzhou removed her makeup and washed her face. Chu Cheng also patted some toner on her face with Chu's mother before she went downstairs with Chu Cheng to meet Chu's father and mother again.
Chu's mother was preparing to make dumplings. When she saw him coming down, she called out, "Come and make dumplings with us."
Ji Qingzhou nodded and sat next to Chu Cheng, watching the three men of the Chu family rolling the dough while he and Chu's mother wrapped it together.
Seeing that he made good wrappers, Chu's mother was very pleased and said, "In previous years, the three of them rolled the dough and I was the only one wrapping it. They finished rolling it early and I hadn't finished wrapping it yet. This year, I finally have someone to accompany me to wrap it."
Hearing this, Ji Qingzhou looked up at her and said with a smile, "After my mother got sick, I made dumplings by myself. It's quite rare to have so many people making dumplings together this year."
"This is all Cheng's fault. If he had brought you back earlier, we could have made dumplings together earlier."
Chu Cheng felt that he was really wronged. It wasn't that he didn't want to get married, but that his partner didn't dare to come. However, it was his own mother who said this, so he could only nod helplessly, "Yes, yes, it's my fault."
"Do you think I'm wrong?" Mother Chu looked at her son.
Chu Cheng immediately put the dumpling wrappers he had rolled in front of her and complimented her, “How could that be? My mom is always right. If my mom is wrong, then it must be that I am not thinking straight enough!”
Mother Chu was very satisfied, "It's good that you know."
"Don't worry, you can be the boss of our family."
Ji Qingzhou lowered his head and smiled, thinking that Chu Cheng's family was quite interesting.
After wrapping the dumplings, Ji Qingzhou was a little tired, so Chu Cheng took him back to his room to rest. Ji Qingzhou had been to his room once before, and this time he entered his bedroom again, but he couldn't help but take a closer look.
"Do you like it?" Chu Cheng asked him.
Ji Qingzhou nodded, "I like it."
"We can stay here longer if you like."
"Forget it. Your family will probably have relatives coming to visit in a few days. I haven't visited relatives in a long time, let alone your relatives."
"Okay," Chu Cheng thought about the lively New Year celebrations in his family, "it won't be too late for you to meet them after we get married."
Ji Qingzhou was surprised to hear the word "marriage" and was stunned for a moment, but then he began to have some anticipation.
Seeing that he kept his head down and didn't say anything, Chu Cheng asked him, "Have you decided when we should get married?"
Ji Qingzhou raised his eyes to look at him, "When do you want to?"
"I respect you. When you get married won't have a big impact on me, but your married status may have a greater impact on your image."
Ji Qingzhou thought about it and realized that people of his age didn’t seem to get married, and even fewer of them were exposed to be in a relationship. However, he wasn’t just going for the traffic route, and as an actor, the impact shouldn’t be too big.
"Wait another two years." Chu Cheng suddenly said, "Wait another two years and you'll be six years old, so it will be relatively suitable."
"Okay." Ji Qingzhou had no objection.
He looked at Chu Cheng and suddenly remembered something - he had not yet confessed his true identity to Chu Cheng. They had already come to this point, met each other's parents, came out publicly, and even agreed to get married in two years, so he should not have such a secret with Chu Cheng anymore.
But how can I tell this kind of thing? Ji Qingzhou was a little worried. If I tell the truth, will Chu Cheng really believe it?
"What are you thinking about?" Chu Cheng saw that he frowned and reached out to press his eyebrows.
Ji Qingzhou looked at him, thought for a moment, and asked him, "Do you have any coins?"
"I think so." Chu Cheng opened the drawer beside the bed, rummaged through it, and found a coin. "Here."
Ji Qingzhou didn't take it, but just looked at the coin nervously, "Choose one, heads or tails?"
"Front view." Chu Cheng said.
"Then try toss it and see if it comes up heads or tails."
This is easy. Chu Cheng played this game a lot when he was young, and he had already mastered the trick of how to throw the side he wanted. He threw it upwards, and Ji Qingzhou's eyes followed the movement of the coin, and saw Chu Cheng catch it steadily, opened his covered right hand, and said proudly: "Heads."
Ji Qingzhou stared at the front of the coin quietly for a while, then looked up and said to Chu Cheng, "I actually have a secret."
Although Chu Cheng guessed that Ji Qingzhou must have his reasons for asking him to do this, he did not expect to hear such words.
"What's your secret?"
"A big secret."
Chu Cheng was a little surprised. "Is it related to you?"
Ji Qingzhou nodded.
Chu Cheng was puzzled. "What secrets do you have that I don't know? Although we are not together, I know basically everything about you. What secrets can you hide? Such a big secret?"
Ji Qingzhou pulled him to sit on the bed and took the coin from his hand. "I think I should tell you, but I also think that it's not a big deal. Although I have hidden it from you, it is reasonable. It doesn't sound so fantastic."
