"How do you practice?" Ji Qingzhou asked him.
"I'll teach you later. Take off your shoes and socks first and wash your feet yourself."
Ji Qingzhou then took off his shoes and socks, put his feet into the clear water, and played with them.
Chu Cheng let him play for a while, then gave him a towel to wipe his feet clean.
Ji Qingzhou quickly wiped his feet and put them on the bed. He watched Chu Cheng wave his hand and the foot basin returned to its original position. He asked with increasing curiosity, "How do you practice?"
"Take the breath and return to the rest state. I will teach you the Heart Technique and you practice according to it."
Ji Qingzhou nodded.
Chu Cheng taught him a few mental formulas, and he closed his eyes and began to practice according to his instructions.
Seeing him practicing, Chu Cheng lay down on the bed and prepared to rest. He was too lazy to wash up, so he just snapped his fingers to remove the worldly dust of the day.
When Ji Qingzhou opened his eyes again, he saw Chu Cheng was already asleep. He did not disturb Chu Cheng, but followed his example, took off his coat, got into the quilt, and slowly fell asleep.
When Chu Cheng woke up the next day, he found a warm body in his arms. He looked down and realized that Ji Qingzhou was not wearing anything.
Chu Cheng figured it out almost instantly. This apricot tree must have learned how to transform into outer clothes from mortals, but didn't know that mortals still wear inner clothes. He shook his head helplessly and waited for Ji Qingzhou to wake up before telling him about it. Ji Qingzhou saw the white inner clothes on him and cleverly transformed himself into a set of clothes based on his clothes.
"That's all I need."
"Um."
Ji Qingzhou thought about it and stretched out his fist towards him. He opened his fist and found several copper coins inside. "Money." He
Chu Cheng touched it lightly, and the money turned into fruit. Chu Cheng took one and ate it, saying to him, "This won't work. Your cultivation is too shallow. Soon after the money leaves you, it will turn back into fruit, and you will be discovered."
Ji Qingzhou had no choice but to say, "You still have to pay."
Chu Cheng nodded.
"Then do I need to give you anything?" he asked.

The two had a meal in the inn. Ji Qingzhou enjoyed the meal very much. He liked sweet and sour food, but also spicy food. His mouth was rosy red and greasy from eating. Chu Cheng looked at him and wiped his mouth with a handkerchief. Ji Qingzhou's mouth was very soft. While Chu Cheng was wiping it, he couldn't help but press it through the handkerchief. Ji Qingzhou didn't get angry and moved over to let him continue to wipe it for him.
He was full, Chu Cheng paid the bill, and the two of them left the inn together.
"Where do you want to go?" Chu Cheng asked him.
Ji Qingzhou didn't know either, so he asked Chu Cheng, "Where do you want to go?"
Chu Cheng didn't want to go anywhere. If Ji Qingzhou hadn't transformed into a human form and entered the world, he would not have gotten up. He would just continue to rest and then go back home.
"Look at you."
Ji Qingzhou thought about it, stretched out his hand and conjured up a leaf. He threw the leaf upwards and watched it slowly fall, pointing to the south.
"Go south." Ji Qingzhou said, "Let's go south."
"good."
Chu Cheng bought a horse, rode it himself, pulled Ji Qingzhou onto the horse's back, and took him all the way south.
When Ji Qingzhou first came to the mortal world, he was curious about everything. When he encountered something he had never seen before, he would turn around and ask Chu Cheng what it was. Chu Cheng patiently answered his questions, and Ji Qingzhou was surprised and asked, "How do you know everything?"
"Because I've seen more than you have, and I'm older than you."
Ji Qingzhou leaned against him and said unyieldingly, "I will know everything in the future."
Chu Cheng saw the wisdom in his eyes and said gently, "Of course."
They walked along the official road, watching people coming and going around them, and occasionally listening to the conversations between passers-by. At night, they stayed in the inn and talked about the land. Sometimes they would spend the night in the forest. Chu Cheng would make a fire. Ji Qingzhou's body was an apricot tree, so he was a little afraid of fire and didn't dare to get close. He just sat next to Chu Cheng and fell asleep in his arms when he was tired.
Sometimes when he woke up the next day, he found himself still in the woods, and sometimes he found himself in a house. "Why do you sometimes appear in a room and sometimes not?" Ji Qingzhou asked him.
Chu Cheng's answer was simple, "It depends on my mood."
