55. Fifty-five (1 / 3)

Fifty-five:

Compared to the complete character setting of Lin Luofeng, the character setting of Lin Luoyang, who Ji Qingzhou auditioned for, can be very thin. He doesn't have many scenes, only a few, and except for one scene with the actor who plays He Wang, the rest are all with Lian Jingxing.

His existence is just to make Lin Luofeng's image more perfect.

Ji Qingzhou looked at the script for his audition. The script was very simple, about the daily interactions between Lin Luoyang and Lin Luofeng at home. From the script, he could only see Lin Luoyang's gentle personality, his tolerance and respect for his brother, and his own childishness.

This is not difficult to act, Ji Qingzhou thought, it’s just that the character is a little thin, but that’s normal, after all, he is not the protagonist.

He changed his clothes and did his makeup. Seeing that he looked young, the makeup artist simply put on some makeup to make him look younger. "Lin Luoyang is only 18 years old, just a freshman, still a student. You don't look that old either, so this is enough."

"Thank you." Ji Qingzhou said.

"You're welcome."

Because the registration was late, Ji Qingzhou was the last person to audition. He thought he would have to wait for a long time, but it was his turn to audition soon. In order to better select the role, the director directly asked Lian Jingxing to play with the auditioning actors this time. When Ji Qingzhou saw Lian Jingxing, he relaxed instantly, silently recited the lines in his mind, then opened his eyes and bowed politely to the director.

"Let's start." said the director.

Upon hearing this, Lian Jingxing stood up and walked towards him from his seat. His acting skills were very good, and in just a few steps, he had transformed from Ji Qingzhou's senior brother Lian Jingxing into Lin Luoyang's brother Lin Luofeng.

"I'm back. It's so cold outside today. Yangyang, have you cooked? If not, let's eat hotpot." He pretended to take off his clothes and hang them on the hanger, then walked to Ji Qingzhou.

Ji Qingzhou pointed in front of him, which was a virtual pool and washed vegetables. He smiled at Lian Jingxing. He looked very nice when he smiled. Because of his appearance and temperament, he looked very clean, and indeed looked like a student who was still in school.

"You've just washed the vegetables and haven't cut them yet. It's a perfect time to eat hotpot." Lian Jingxing said.

Ji Qingzhou was not very willing. He had been fooled by his brother into eating three hot pots in a row, so he didn't want to continue eating hot pot. He shook his head, held down the vegetables with his left hand, picked up the knife with his right hand, and started pretending to cut vegetables. Lian Jingxing saw him start cutting vegetables and hurried to grab his knife. Ji Qingzhou dodged, afraid of hurting him, and finally put the knife aside helplessly, frowning and looking at his brother with a little complaint.

Lian Jingxing smiled and said, "Just eat the last one."

Ji Qingzhou took out his cell phone and typed angrily: You are always like this!

He held the phone in front of Lian Jingxing, who turned his head away and said, "I won't look at it."

Ji Qingzhou stretched out his hand to make him see, but there was an obvious height difference between them, so he could only reluctantly put away his phone and push Lian Jingxing out.

Lian Jingxing bargained with him as he stepped back, "Just one last time, Yangyang, I promise you that you believe in your brother."

However, Ji Qingzhou still pushed him out mercilessly, closed the door, made a face at him through the glass on the door, and then returned to the sink.

In this scene, there are no props except Ji Qingzhou's mobile phone. It all depends on the actors' own performance. After watching it, the director was very satisfied with Ji Qingzhou's performance. His appearance is very advantageous, which fits the setting of Lin Luoyang in the movie: simple, gentle, clean, harmless, and most importantly, young. He represents a kind of beauty. It is precisely because of this that when he died at the age of 18, just an adult, it would make the audience feel heartbroken and understand Lin Luofeng's character change more.

The interaction between Ji Qingzhou and Lian Jingxing is the most natural among all the audition actors. Every action between the two is well connected, and every expression is just right. When Ji Qingzhou looks at Lian Jingxing, it seems as if he is really Lian Jingxing's younger brother. He has respect and tenderness for his brother, but he is also helpless because of his brother's willfulness.
