Chapter 53 What are you shaking about?

Chapter 53 What are you shaking about?

This sleep was exceptionally comfortable.

Mingzhu slowly opened her eyes and touched her forehead. Her skin felt cool after the fever subsided.

I picked up my phone and checked the time. It was already the next morning.

A full twenty-four hours of deep sleep.

Feeling refreshed.

She just felt that her soul and body had never been so compatible.

Mingzhu threw off the quilt, got out of bed, walked barefoot on the carpet, and walked out of the bedroom.

The moment the door opened, Jiang Zhi's eyes immediately fell on her.

Mingzhu raised her eyes lazily and looked at him.

In the morning light, the thin and slender figure stood quietly by the door.

I don't know how long I've been waiting there.

His eyes lit up when he saw her, but he still didn't dare to go forward.

Jiang Zhi's gaze fell on Mingzhu's bare feet. His Adam's apple rolled slightly, and his voice was slightly hoarse: "You are not wearing shoes."

"Um."

Mingzhu responded softly, waiting for his reaction with interest.

Jiang Zhi seemed to have received permission.

He walked quickly past her and into the house.

Then he appeared with a pair of slippers.

Just as he bent down to put her shoes on.

Mingzhu suddenly took a step forward.

A pair of white, small feet gently stepped on the back of his feet.

Although it was light, Jiang Zhi felt that the blood in his body was boiling.

"What are you shaking for?" Mingzhu's hair was almost touching his chin. "You've been standing guard at the door all night?"

This is too close...

Closer than last time.

He could no longer speak.

Jiang Zhi's slightly drooping eyelashes trembled rapidly.

Afraid that Mingzhu could not stand steadily, he supported her with his hands and obediently served as her footrest.

When Mingzhu's head slowly leaned towards his chest.

Jiang Zhi heard the deafening sound of his own heartbeat.

He raised his head in panic, not daring to look again, but heard some bad voices coming from his ears.

"Puppy, have you been waiting here for your master?"

It was just as she expected.

The tips of Jiang Zhi's ears instantly turned red as if dripping blood.

The blush quickly spread to her entire face, even her neck turned pink.

The whole person becomes alive.

Mingzhu raised the corners of her lips in a mischievous manner, and her fingertips gently stroked the back of his hand hanging at his side.

Just when Jiang Zhi's mind went blank.

Mingzhu pulled the slippers from his hand and stepped away from his instep.

"I'm hungry."

Mingzhu put on her slippers and turned to walk towards the restaurant with a natural tone.

Jiang Zhi's eyes softened and he followed her footsteps.

"Have you had breakfast?" Mingzhu asked without turning her head.

"Not yet." Jiang Zhi lowered his voice, trying to keep his tone steady.

"Then let's go together." Mingzhu said casually.

"good."

Jiang Zhi raised the corners of his mouth quietly.

As long as Mingzhu is talking about us, then anything is fine.

After breakfast.

Mr. Ming and Uncle Zhou were already in the living room, with a doctor standing beside them.

"Miss, please let me check you again." The doctor immediately stepped forward and carefully examined Mingzhu.

Not long after, the doctor finished the examination and said, "Don't worry, old man, the young lady is fine now."

Old Master Ming looked at Mingzhu's face which had regained its rosy complexion, and he finally felt relieved.

But he still frowned and asked, "Zhuzhu, why did you suddenly have such a high fever?"

Mingzhu smiled at Old Man Ming and said, "Grandpa, let's go to the study and talk."

Old Master Ming nodded when he heard this. He had already vaguely sensed something unusual.

Mingzhu has had a good physique since childhood and has a special nutrition team to take care of her.

The temperature control system of the main building maintains the most suitable temperature 24 hours a day.

Not to mention high fever, even coughing is rare.

Mingzhu turned her head and met Jiang Zhi's wet eyes. She couldn't help but chuckle, "Just wait here obediently, okay?"

Jiang Zhi looked at her without blinking and nodded slightly.

Mingzhu couldn't help but reach out and rub the top of his head.

Then he followed Mr. Ming to the study.

In the study, the scent of sandalwood lingers.

“Grandpa, I was pulled back again last night.”

Mingzhu's words haven't fallen yet.

Mr. Ming paused as he sat down, and Uncle Zhou's breathing also visibly slowed down.

"Is it that pocket watch?" Old Master Ming frowned and figured out the reason almost immediately.

Mingzhu nodded slightly.

Mr. Ming pondered for a moment.

The old Zen master has passed away. There are too many masters in this world who are difficult to distinguish between true and false. Even he has suffered losses in the past.

After thinking it over again and again, he said in a deep voice: "Zhuzhu, go to Ganzhou."

After saying that, Mr. Ming turned to Uncle Zhou and instructed: "Go and make arrangements now."

Uncle Zhou accepted the order and was about to turn around.

Mingzhu suddenly said, "Uncle Zhou, I want to take Jiang Zhi with me."

Uncle Zhou nodded and left quickly.

Mingzhu lay on Grandpa Ming's lap like she did when she was a child.

"Grandpa, why are you going to Ganzhou?" She looked up, her eyes full of curiosity and complete trust.

Old Master Ming touched her head and said, "There is an old monk over there. He is too old to travel far. You should go and see him."

Mingzhu nodded in agreement.

Even if she felt that this would never happen again.

But in order to reassure Mr. Ming, she was willing to go.

Looking at Mingzhu's increasingly delicate and beautiful features, Old Master Ming suddenly sighed, "Our Zhuzhu has grown up."

Mingzhu blinked and acted coquettishly: "Grandpa, how did you know that?"

"You can handle things on your own now." Old Master Ming smiled and patted her shoulder. "Go to the Buddhist temple and burn some incense."

"Okay." Mingzhu stood up.

After Mingzhu left, the atmosphere in the study suddenly became heavy.

As long as Mingzhu doesn't tell him, Mr. Ming will never know what happened after he passed away.

But in this life, he would never let those things happen again.

Mr. Ming stroked the armrest of the chair and sighed with relief.

At least it's not all bad. Mingzhu's personality is much calmer and more reserved.

If the day comes when he leaves, I will feel more at ease.

"Grandpa, everything has been arranged." Uncle Zhou came back quickly, "Miss, you can leave at any time."

Old Master Ming nodded slightly, his eyes sharp, and said, "Let Ah Xin move faster."

Mingzhu took Jiang Zhi into the car.

Jiang Zhi didn't ask where they were going. He would go wherever Mingzhu went.

"Miss, domestic private flight approvals are too slow, and there's no airport at our destination," Uncle Zhou explained, standing next to the car. "High-speed rail is the fastest option."

He paused, his tone apologetic: "I'm sorry for putting you in such a difficult position."

Mingzhu shook her head indifferently, but was looking forward to this experience.

She turned to look at Jiang Zhi, her eyes sparkling: "Have you ever taken a high-speed train?"

Jiang Zhi shook his head and whispered, "No."

He has never left Shanghai.

This small Shanghai is his whole world.

"What a coincidence, it's my first time too." Mingzhu moved closer to him.

Suddenly she reached out and poked Jiang Zhi's burning earlobe, grinning like a triumphant cat: "It seems we are going to unlock many firsts together."

The tips of Jiang Zhi's ears were clearly red enough to bleed, but he still stubbornly refused to look away and kept nodding in agreement.

Uncle Zhou held his forehead helplessly when he saw this scene.

Obviously, he thought Jiang Zhi was stupid.
