Chapter 168 Return to Life

Screams rose and fell like waves, filled with terror and confusion. Su Feng awkwardly closed the coffin, trying to calm the sudden commotion.

In this panicked crowd, Chu Chu's eyes were fixed on one person - Chu Yaozu.

"There's a ghost, it's a ghost..."

"Ah... the coffin is moving on its own."

The waves of panic rattled everyone's nerves. However, Chu Yaozu remained remarkably calm. "Don't panic, everyone! There are no ghosts in broad daylight," he said, trying to reassure them. He then added, "If the family members are truly concerned, they can cremate the body. Ghosts are most afraid of fire!"

Chu Chu was so angry when she heard this that she almost jumped up and down. She thought to herself, this Chu Yaozu is really too cunning. If the body is burned, all the evidence will be gone!

"Su Feng, pick me up and walk over to Chu Yaozu." Chu Chu ordered. Although Su Feng didn't understand why, he did it without hesitation.

Under the cover of invisibility, they instantly arrived in front of Chu Yaozu.

Chu Chu slapped Chu Yaozu mercilessly.

Chu Yaozu subconsciously touched his face, but found that there was no one beside him. He felt an inexplicable fear. Who was hitting him?

What surprised him even more was that he actually heard someone talking, but when he looked around, he couldn't see anyone.

Tian Yi, upon seeing this, could no longer contain his excitement. He stretched out his sharp cat claws and eagerly said, "Princess Emperor, let me do it."

Chu Chu nodded in agreement, "Okay, come on, and you must see blood."

Tianyi meowed, and its sharp claws instantly extended. It used both front paws to attack Chu Yaozu, leaving bloody marks on his face and body.

Chu Yaozu wailed loudly in pain, "There's a ghost, there really is a ghost!"

"This is something only a ghost could scratch out, right?"

"Yeah, there are no cats or dogs here..."

There were constant discussions and panic spread among the crowd. Soon, the relatives and friends who came to mourn fled the scene in panic.

Only the deceased's wife was left, hugging the coffin, tears streaming down her face, heartbroken.

Chuchu poked Tianyi's head and pointed with her chin at the ghost standing next to the sad woman: "See, the deceased's soul hasn't left yet, and the ghost messenger hasn't arrived yet, which means his life span hasn't come to an end yet."

Su Feng immediately objected, "Princess Di, please remain calm. Returning to life is a serious matter. The slightest carelessness will bring about divine punishment. The last battle cost you the life of a child. If you take another risk this time, the consequences will be disastrous and may even endanger your life."

Tian Yi also agreed, "Yes, Princess Di, this is really too risky. How about we discuss it with Lord Hades first? If we really act on our own and something goes wrong, Su Feng and I might both die. Moreover, we are still at the critical moment of capturing Yaksha. If anything happens to you, your return to the underworld will be even more distant."

Chuchu wrinkled her cute and chubby little face, looking angry and helpless: "But you two, this is not allowed, that is not allowed, then what about my uncle? I can't just watch him go to jail and do nothing, right?"

Su Feng patiently explained, "Princess, your uncle in the human world is just a temporary identity for you. As the Princess of the Underworld, there is really no need for you to risk suffering divine punishment for a human."

Tian Yi also comforted her, "Princess Di, we understand your feelings. But sometimes, there are things that we cannot change. Perhaps we can think of other ways to help your uncle without putting you in danger."

Chu Chu was silent for a moment, as if she was thinking about what they said. She didn't know how long it had been. "Let the invisibility spell disappear. I'll go over and talk to that person and soul."

Seeing the two people, one big and one small, and the cat in front of her, the sad woman was so shocked that she forgot to cry. Su Feng suddenly felt a little helpless and looked at Tian Yi's cat head.

However, Tianyi was also confused, so both of their eyes turned to Chuchu at the same time.

Chuchu suddenly asked, "Why are you crying?" Although her voice was childish, it was deep and profound, which was not in line with her age.

The woman was stunned by the question. It was obvious that she didn't know how to explain the grief of losing a loved one to a child. But she didn't get angry. She just silently endured this sudden question.

Chuchu continued, "You have time to cry, why don't you try to investigate the truth about your husband's death?" Song Mian's figure appeared in her mind, and an inexplicable sadness surged in her heart.

When the woman heard this, her tone revealed a strong sense of indignation: "The murderer has been arrested by the police. What else is there to investigate?"

Seeing this, Su Feng hurried forward to explain: "Madam, please allow us to explain. The cause of your husband's death is a bit strange, and Dr. Song is not the real murderer. In fact, the real murderer may have been mixed in with the crowd who just fled." His words were gentle and sincere, trying to calm the woman's emotions.

Chuchu glanced at the sorrowful spirit. He had been silently trying to comfort his wife, but he could not truly touch her because they were separated by the Yin and Yang. Chuchu felt a surge of sympathy and decided to help the unfortunate couple.

She addressed the woman directly, "Your husband's spirit is still here, standing beside you right now. If you want to say something to him, I can help you convey it."

The woman thought it was just a child's words of comfort, so she smiled and said, "What did you say? Thank you, little friend, but you should know that there are some things you shouldn't say carelessly."

Chuchu answered seriously, "I can really see him. Don't you humans always say that we children can see things that you adults can't see?"

The woman looked at Chuchu's bright and determined eyes, and seemed to sense an unusual power. She hesitated for a moment, then asked tentatively, "Then... can you talk to him?"

Chuchu nodded, "Of course, I can."

She immediately turned to the sorrowful spirit and asked gently, "Is there anything else you would like to say to your wife?"

The soul nodded gently. His voice, though weak, was filled with deep affection. "Please tell her I'm truly sorry for not being able to accompany her through life. The operation was a success, and my death wasn't the doctor's fault. Please don't blame him."

Chuchu relayed these words to the woman, who burst into tears again. She choked up and said, "What about you? What else do you want to say to your husband?"
