Chapter 226: Capture Alive

The police were quickly dispatched and order was quickly restored at the scene. The body was carefully removed, and the men's restroom where the body was first found was cordoned off, isolating it from the outside world's curiosity and disturbance.

Unable to use invisibility, Chu Chu could only look at Lu Chenguang standing nearby. Seeing this, Lu Chenguang reluctantly extended his right hand, placed his index and middle fingers together, and gently drew a circle. As he did so, a strange magical energy permeated around them, and the two of them instantly vanished into the bustling mall.

They swiftly passed through the physical space and arrived directly at the crime scene, where the bustling crowds and noisy sounds had disappeared, leaving only a quiet and tense atmosphere.

Qingtian, as Chuchu's right-hand man, was also summoned to the scene immediately. As soon as he arrived, he bowed respectfully to Chuchu and said, "Princess, what are your instructions?"

Chu Chu nodded slightly, signaling Qingtian to use his special ability: "Smell and see if there is the breath of the Ghost King here."

Qingtian took a deep breath and carefully sniffed the air around him. Before long, his expression suddenly changed, a look of shock on his face. "Princess, there truly is the presence of the Ghost King here. How dare he descend openly upon the mortal world? How audacious!"

Chu Chu's face was cold and serious: "He has begun to absorb people's spirits. We must act immediately and bring him to justice. Yan Lie has been found, and you will be able to meet again soon."

Qingtian sighed angrily, "He really is a person of the past, he won't change his nature."

Chuchu's eyes flashed with determination, "What awaits him will be the cruel punishment of the eighteen levels of hell.

Qingtian couldn't help but smack his lips. The eighteen levels of hell are a harsh punishment for evil spirits. Each level carries a twenty-fold increase in suffering and doubles the lifespan of the previous level. The cruelty of the punishment is appalling. These punishments differ particularly in duration. The first level uses 3,750 human years as a day, 30 days as a month, and 12 months as a year. Ghosts must serve ten thousand years in this hell (or 13.5 billion human years). The sentences in each subsequent level are quadrupled from the previous level, resulting in extremely long torments that, when measured in kalpas, would be astronomical.

"We can't wait any longer. We must rush to the morgue immediately, track the Ghost King's breath, and find him before he attacks the next target." Chu Chu said decisively.

Lu Chenguang nodded and cast a powerful spell, instantly and accurately placing the three of them in the morgue. They hid beside the medical examiner, silently observing the situation at the scene.

Two medical examiners were concentrating on examining the body, their brows furrowed, clearly perplexed by the circumstances of the death. One of the female medical examiners frowned and said, "This is the sixth case, and the deceased is another young man. The manner of death is identical to the previous two. His organs are intact, with no signs of sharp injuries. He looks as if his entire being has been drained of energy. It's truly unbelievable."

As the princess of the underworld, she can also question the wronged souls to track down the ghost king.

The Ghost King just happens to suck away souls, so there is no better way.

Faced with this dilemma, Lu Chenguang suddenly proposed a plan: "I have an idea."

Chu Chu looked at him suspiciously: "Are you planning to use a young man as bait to set a trap and lure the Ghost King out?"

Lu Chenguang nodded: "That's right."

Chu Chu frowned, pondering the feasibility of this plan. "But where can we find such a person? Ordinary mortals are certainly not suitable. The Ghost King strikes swiftly, and if we're not careful, he could take another innocent life. And Hell's messengers aren't suitable either. They carry the aura of the underworld, and the Ghost King only needs to smell it to know it."

Lu Chenguang pondered for a moment and seemed to have a candidate in mind: "I have thought of someone, the guard whose memory you just awakened. He is now human, and he was once a ghost messenger. He should no longer have the aura of the underworld, so the Ghost King may not be able to detect it."

Although Chu Chu felt that this plan was a bit risky, she really didn't have any other better options at the moment: "Well, let's go back to the filming site and find him to discuss it."

As night fell, the filming had wrapped up and the lights gradually dimmed, leaving only silence.

Chuchu and Lu Chenguang brought Tianyi back to the crew quietly and found Xiao Qian who was packing up.

"Xiao Qian." Chuchu called softly, her voice sounded particularly crisp in the night.

Xiao Qian looked up and saw that it was Chu Chu. He immediately put down the script in his hand and walked over respectfully: "Princess Di, are you looking for me?"

Chuchu nodded and told Xiao Qian their plan in detail.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Qian frowned, clearly weighing the pros and cons of this plan. But after a brief hesitation, he said firmly, "Princess, I'm willing to give it a try. As both a human and a ghost messenger, I should contribute to this matter."

Chu Chu looked at him, a hint of admiration flashing in her eyes: "This matter is extremely risky, you must be mentally prepared."

Xiao Qian smiled faintly: "I understand, Princess Di. I am ready to face any challenge at any time."

Anyway, Xiao Qian’s role today has ended.

As night fell, Chuchu led the group quietly to a secluded park. It was deserted, with only the sound of a breeze rustling through the treetops. They knew that the Ghost King, in the human world, could only enhance his magical powers by absorbing the essence of young men. His chosen targets were always kind and righteous souls.

To ensure the Ghost King would be quickly attracted, they planned to create the scent of a young man in this deserted park. Lu Chenguang looked at Chuchu, a glint of determination in his eyes. "Chuchu, you start trying now. Tianyi, Qingtian, and I will protect you."

Chuchu smiled slightly, with wisdom glittering in her eyes: "It's actually not difficult, just need to add some ingredients of the underworld magic."

She turned to face Xiao Qian and began to chant a spell in a low voice. As the spell sounded, the air around them seemed to tremble, as if a mysterious force was quietly gathering.

Xiao Qian stood across from Chuchu, his gaze fixed on her. Chuchu clasped her hands together and muttered something, her voice deep and mysterious, as if it could penetrate the soul. As the spell continued, a faint fragrance began to permeate the air, a unique and alluring scent that seemed to evoke the most primal desires deep within the human heart.

Lu Chenguang, Tianyi, and Qingtian were scattered around, vigilantly observing the surrounding movements. They knew that the Ghost King could appear at any time, so they had to remain highly vigilant and prepared.
