Chapter 393 Song Qi

Chuchu gently crossed the border between the demonic and human realms, reentering the familiar yet unfamiliar human world. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, dappling onto her shoulders, bringing a touch of warmth as if welcoming her back. She took a deep breath of the fresh air, feeling the tranquility and harmony of the human world. Her longing for home grew stronger.

Chuchu once again stepped into the familiar apartment building, her steps brisk and firm. However, as she pushed open the door and prepared to step into the elevator, an unexpected figure appeared in her sight—Su Rong. Clearly surprised by Chuchu's reappearance, he frowned slightly and asked in confusion, "Didn't you leave half an hour ago? Why are you back again?"

Chuchu glanced at Su Rong lightly, a barely perceptible smile appeared on the corner of her mouth, and her tone was calm: "Oh, I just went back to get something and forgot to bring it." She didn't want to explain too much. After all, the relationship between her and Su Rong had become subtle and complicated.

After saying this, Chuchu didn't stop and turned to walk towards the underground parking lot. Su Rong looked at her back as she walked away and sighed helplessly. He knew that this time, he might have really offended Chuchu, and repairing this relationship might take more time and effort.

When she returned home, Chuchu found two familiar faces in the living room - her second uncle Song Shilin and his fifteen-year-old son Song Qi.

Song Qi's appearance made Chu Chu's heart tremble slightly, because his appearance was exactly the same as the one in heaven.

Chuchu knew clearly that the Song Qi in front of her was actually the reincarnation of Rong Qi.

Back then, Rong Qi had angered the heavens and was cast down to the human world by Rong Lin, where he was reborn as a human. Chu Chu knew that this was not only a turning point in Rong Qi's personal fate, but also a foreshadowing of an unprecedented catastrophe that would await them decades later.

Song Qi has grown into a handsome young man. He greeted Chuchu with a smile: "Sister Chuchu, long time no see." His smile was innocent, as if he was completely unaware of the fate he was carrying.

Chuchu responded with a smile: "Yes, long time no see." Her eyes were full of tenderness and emotion, as if at this moment, she saw Rong Qi in heaven again.

Song Shilin looked at Chu Chu and asked with concern: "How is college life? Are you adapting?"

Chuchu responded politely: "Not bad, the classmates are all very friendly, and I have made some new friends." She was spontaneously full of expectations for her future.

Gu Yechen also echoed, "Chu Chu has been popular wherever she goes since she was a child, and this time is definitely no exception." There was a hint of pride and pride in his tone.

Song Shilin nodded when he heard this: "That's right." His eyes were full of admiration and affirmation for Chuchu.

Chuchu deliberately showed a little bit of pride, then sat next to Song Yaqing and asked curiously: "Why did my uncle suddenly come to Rongjing?"

Song Shilin replied gently, "There's an operation here that requires consultation, and the hospital invited me here."

Song Yaqing added, "National Day is coming soon, and Xiao Qi is coming with us. Chu Chu, you should take Xiao Qi for a walk. He's busy with his studies, and his opportunities to go out will only get fewer and fewer during his three years of high school."

Chu Chu nodded readily and agreed: "No problem." A warm feeling surged in her heart. She knew that time spent with family and friends was always so precious.

"But where is my aunt? Why didn't she come with us?" Chu Chu asked curiously.

Song Shilin explained: "The hospital has been very busy recently, and she happened to be on duty..." There was a hint of helplessness and apology in his tone.

Chu Chu shook her head upon hearing this and asked jokingly, "Is the Dean's wife so busy? Uncle, isn't it time for you to reflect on yourself?"

Song Shilin smiled helplessly: "She just refuses to take a back seat, nor does she want to retire." His eyes were full of understanding and respect for his wife.

Song Yaqing exclaimed, "That's really dedicated." Her tone was full of admiration and respect for her aunt.

Throughout the whole process, Song Qi kept smiling but didn't say much.

Chu Chu keenly discovered that the loyal guardians who once supported Rong Qi in heaven were always following Song Qi like a shadow, protecting him.

However, Chuchu did not say it out loud.

She knew in her heart that in this world full of mundane things, some things were better left as a mystery.

Especially at this moment, she couldn't easily speak out, so as not to cause unnecessary trouble or panic to those around her. So, she chose silence, burying these wonderful sights deep in her heart.

After dinner, Song Shilin and Song Qi settled down at the Song family home. Their arrival brought a new atmosphere to the family. Later that evening, Chu Lei also took a break from his busy company affairs and returned home. After everyone greeted each other, they sat together and began to enjoy a sumptuous dinner.

Chuchu finished her meal quickly and returned to her room on the third floor as usual. The door of the room rang softly, and Chuchu knew that a guest had arrived. She said "Come in", and the door was pushed open. The person who came in was Song Qi.

"Sister Chuchu, I can't sleep and want to find a book to read." Song Qi's voice was a little embarrassed, but also revealed some sincerity.

Chuchu smiled and pointed to the bookcase, saying generously: "Although there are not many books in the bookcase, you can take a look. Is there anything you like?"

Song Qi approached the bookshelf and carefully browsed through each book. Finally, he picked out a book about mythology. He smiled and said, "I like these fantastic stories. I always feel that these things are real."
