Chapter 401: Ghost Messenger Dark Night

Chuchu patiently tidied the room, meticulously returning every item to its proper place, exuding an air of order. Then, she slowly walked into the bedroom and began her lunch break. But as soon as she lay down, an inexplicable sense of emptiness overwhelmed her, as if the divine within her were quietly fading. She tried to close her eyes again, but an indescribable fatigue washed over her. She sat up, but the fatigue seemed to transform into invisible chains, immobilizing her.

"How strange! As a god, how could I feel sleepy?" Chuchu muttered to herself, a hint of doubt rising in her heart. In her mind, gods were supposed to be tireless and energetic, not to mention the need for naps, a habit only mortals possess. She thought back to her life in the human world over the years. Although only fifteen years had passed, it was a fleeting moment compared to the long years of being a god. But in this short time, she seemed to be able to feel more and more the life of the human world, eating whole grains and experiencing the ups and downs of life. This experience made her feel more and more like a real person.

Chuchu tried to lie down again, but her mind was filled with a thousand thoughts. All those worries about the divine realm, the underworld, and her own identity were like a tangled mess, making it difficult for her to fall asleep. She couldn't help but think of a recently popular word among humans: "internal friction." Wasn't this feeling the embodiment of internal friction? She tossed and turned in bed, welcoming Qingtian's arrival.

Qingtian, with a uniquely cold aura, entered Chuchu's residence in an unexpected form—as a mount. His appearance disrupted the tranquility of the lunch break and brought Chuchu back to her senses from her chaotic thoughts.

"What are you doing here? I don't think I summoned you?" Chu Chu looked at the giant beast in front of her with some displeasure, with a hint of blame in her tone.

Qingtian lowered his head, his voice echoing through the empty room. "Princess, the spirit of Chen Cheng, captured by the Black and White Impermanence, has escaped. He had been free of all attachments, but for some reason suddenly changed his mind and sought to reincarnate through another body, constantly muttering the name Zhu Zhu. I have come to the human world to search for him, and also to see you, Princess."

Upon hearing this, Chu Chu sat up suddenly, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes: "Escaped? Isn't he free of all worries? Where else can he escape to?"

Qingtian explained, "He seems unwilling to accept his fate, and still has something in his heart. He wants to return to the human world by resurrecting a corpse, and want to be with Zhu Zhu."

Chu Chu rubbed her temples, looking somewhat helpless: "You should handle your own affairs in the underworld. I really can't take care of so much."

Qingtian responded respectfully, then added, "Princess Di, if he does get close to your territory, please let us know. Lord Pluto is very concerned about your safety."

Chu Chu chuckled, with a hint of teasing in her tone: "Don't worry, if I see him, I will kick him back to the underworld without any hesitation."

Changing the subject, Qingtian asked again, "Princess Di, how is your life in the human world? Lord Pluto has always missed you."

Chu Chu stood up, walked to the window, and said jokingly: "As a god, although there are some inconveniences in the human world, it's generally going well. As for the King of Hell... He has been my father for a thousand years, and I have called him dad for a thousand years. He really is not afraid of shortening his life at all."

Upon hearing this, Qingtian chuckled, "This is fate. When we first learned that you, Princess, were actually a Spirit Lord, we in the Underworld were shocked. You know, you're the only deity in the Six Realms who doesn't lose your magical powers even in the human world. Some even covet your Jiayang Mountain divine seal in order to come to the human world."

Chu Chu's face was brimming with confidence, a smug smile playing on her lips. "Is the word 'covet' a good choice? Humph, those are nothing but insignificant clowns. Ever since the Lord of the Six Realms disappeared into the chaos, my magical power has been unmatched within the Six Realms. The only one who could stand against me is Rong Lin, but he's lost a wisp of his soul. If we really fought, he'd be nothing but a defeated opponent!"

Qingtian quickly echoed, "That's right, Princess Di, your strength is definitely the best in the six realms."

Chuchu suddenly changed the subject, staring at Qingtian with sharp eyes: "Why are you sneakily testing my divine seal in Jiayang Mountain?"

Qingtian's heart tightened, but he forced himself to remain calm. "How could I dare to test you? I just mentioned it casually. I have no interest in the divine seal at all."

When Chuchu heard this, she suddenly stretched out her big hand and circled it above Qingtian's head, then suddenly retracted it. Qingtian instantly revealed his true form. He was actually the loyal guard of Hades - Dark Night.

Chu Chu snorted coldly, not giving An Ye a chance to react, and directly controlled him: "Humph, Qing Tiancai would never say nonsense like the King of Hell raised me for a thousand years. Tell me, why are you thinking about my divine seal? Are you tired of the underworld and want to go to heaven to play?"

An Ye was restrained by Chu Chu, unable to move. He could only smile bitterly and said, "I just want to return to the human world. I was forced to come to the underworld and waited for a thousand years. I just wanted to use Lingjun's divine seal to return to the human world. Where did I go wrong?"

Chu Chu sneered disdainfully: "Forced into the underworld? I'll take you to confront the King of Hell right now and see how you can argue!"

As soon as she finished speaking, Chu Chu quickly chanted a spell, intending to send An Ye to the underworld. However, upon reaching the underworld, An Ye, relying on the recovery of his magic, unexpectedly took the opportunity to escape.

Chuchu rubbed her sore brow and immediately ordered the ghost messengers around her to hunt down An Ye. She hurried to the Pluto's Palace. Pluto looked up at the time and asked in confusion, "Spirit Lord, why are you here at this hour?"

Chu Chu lazily nestled on the sofa in Pluto's Palace and said slowly, "Your subordinate An Ye wants to escape back to the human world. Does Lord Pluto know about this?"

Hades was a little surprised at first, but quickly regained his composure. "He really wants to return to the human world? That's not that easy!"

Chu Chu's tone was filled with dissatisfaction: "Although he is the soul of Lord Hades, I shouldn't interfere, but he tried to snatch my divine seal, which is simply seeking his own death."

The King of Hell nodded, indicating that he understood the situation: "I have sent ghost messengers to capture him, Lingjun, don't worry."

But Chuchu still felt uneasy. She knew that some humans, when they turned vicious, were more terrifying than demons. And this ghost messenger who had been serving as a ghost messenger for a thousand years was probably even more cruel and ruthless.

She paused briefly and continued, "Also, why hasn't his memory been erased? Lord Pluto, I must remind you that something may have gone wrong in your underworld."
