Chapter 404 Give You a Unicorn

Chu Chu pushed the door open suddenly, and a cold wind mixed with the noise outside rushed into the house. She quickly closed the door to isolate herself from the outside world.

She irritably took off her shoes and put on comfortable slippers, making quite a noise, and it was obvious that she was not in a good mood.

Walking into the living room, Chuchu saw Rong Lin immediately. He was wearing a simple yet stylish grey sweatshirt with matching trousers. On his feet were the men's slippers she had specially prepared for her brother, which seemed a bit out of place.

What was even more surprising was that he was holding the expensive red wine that she had collected for many years in his hand. He stood by the window, looking at the scenery in the distance, as if all the troubles had nothing to do with him.

Chuchu put her bag heavily on the entrance, walked to the sofa with an unhappy look on her face, and dived into it, as if she had fallen into the abyss of exhaustion. She ignored Rong Lin and just sat quietly with a blank look in her eyes.

Upon seeing this, Rong Lin turned around slowly, one hand in his trouser pocket and the other holding a red wine glass, his demeanor revealing a sense of elegance and dignity.

He looked at Chu Chu with a half-smile and said, "You are a god, how can you be so angry? It seems that you have been in the human world for too long and eaten too much grains, so your temper has become much worse."

Chu Chu didn't even raise her eyelids, but just responded lightly: "Well, so you stay away from me, so as not to affect your good-tempered Tianjun."

Rong Lin smiled faintly, holding his wine glass and slowly walked to the sofa across from him and sat down. He took a sip of red wine and said with a hint of amusement, "I heard the commotion outside just now. That human deserved a beating. But then again, why is he so determined to become your disciple?"

Chu Chu finally raised her head and squinted at Rong Lin with her beautiful eyes. "He? Isn't that just your spirit? He's so stupid and stubborn, insisting on taking me as his master. Is he crazy?"

Rong Lin gently put down his wine glass, his eyes becoming deep. "As long as his life span in the human world is not over, I will never be able to gather this soul. How about you take him in as your disciple and keep an eye on him for me?"

Upon hearing this, Chu Chu suddenly sat up from the sofa, her eyes filled with surprise and dissatisfaction: "Are you crazy too? He has no magical power at all, and his mind is full of emotions and desires. How can he be my disciple? The disciples I accept must be talented and intelligent, with extraordinary roots. Him? Humph!"

Rong Lin shook his head helplessly and looked out the window. "You've never accepted a disciple before, so why not take one in now just for fun? Besides, who says a master has to teach and answer questions for his disciples? It's been so many years in the human world, how can you still be so honest?"

Chuchu couldn't help but feel a little shaken after hearing Rong Lin's words. She had indeed never taken in an apprentice before, and she had always felt that this secular master-disciple relationship was too complicated. But Rong Lin's words made her start to think, perhaps taking in an apprentice could really bring her some different experiences.

However, Chuchu was a proud deity after all, and she wouldn't easily admit her feelings. She glanced at Rong Lin and said unhappily, "Then why don't you accept a disciple? Don't you accept a disciple either?"

Rong Lin chuckled, his tone somewhat carefree: "Me? I don't like the feeling of being bound. Accepting a disciple is just a responsibility and a burden to me. I just want to be free and unfettered."

Chu Chu couldn't help but sigh when she heard this. She understood Rong Lin's personality and knew that he wouldn't easily accept a disciple. But she still couldn't help but ask, "Then you want me to accept you? I don't want to either."

Seeing this, Rong Lin negotiated in the gentlest tone, "If you accept him, how about I give you a spirit beast? This spirit beast is not only smart and clever, but can also accompany you to relieve boredom. How about it?"

Spiritual beast? The word itself was a distant memory for Chuchu. She hadn't kept a spirit beast since leaving Jiayang Mountain. She remembered a cute little rabbit during her carefree days there, a fluffy little bunny that always brought a smile to her face. But as time passed, the little rabbit seemed to have vanished into thin air, and even she couldn't remember where it had gone.

At this moment, facing Rong Lin's sudden mention of the "spiritual beast", Chu Chu deliberately pretended to be nonchalant and asked casually, "What beast?"

Rong Lin looked at her like this, and a playful smile appeared on his lips: "What kind of spirit beast do you want?"

Chuchu's eyes suddenly became firm, and she said without hesitation: "Mermaid. I need a male mermaid." She knew in her heart that the reason she wanted a male mermaid was actually for the legendary mermaid pearl, which possessed endless power and mysterious power and was of vital importance to her.

Upon hearing this, Rong Lin burst into laughter. "Haha, I knew you were interested in my Mermaid Pearl." His laughter was filled with a mixture of doting and helplessness. "Well, since you want it, I'll give it to you. But it's just a loan. When you return to Jiayang Mountain one day, remember to return it to me. After all, your sacred mountain is full of treasures."

Chu Chu was not embarrassed by Rong Lin's understanding. Instead, she said coquettishly, "So are you going to give it to me or not?"

Rong Lin shook his head helplessly, his eyes filled with doting. "Whatever you want, how could I not give it to you? However, to make sure you feel at ease, I'll also give you a dream-devouring beast to ensure you sleep well every night. How about that?"

Dream Devourer? Chu Chu immediately shook her head upon hearing the name. "No, no, then wouldn't I even have any privacy?" She didn't want her dreams to be spied on by this spirit beast.

Seeing this, Rong Lin didn't force it and continued to recommend: "How about a unicorn? You can put it in the stable and change its form at will, such as turning it into a rabbit or a cat. When you need it to grow bigger, it can always return to its original shape."

Chuchu thought Unicorn's suggestion was a good one. At least it wouldn't cost her her privacy. She nodded. "That's about right. Rong Lin, you're really nice."

Rong Lin smiled slightly and snapped his fingers. A shimmering, lustrous mermaid pearl appeared before Chuchu. She reached out to take it, and it landed gracefully in her palm, transforming into a small, exquisite night-shining pearl.

Rong Lin then snapped his fingers again, and a handsome unicorn appeared in Chuchu's living room. It emanated a soft white light, appearing particularly divine. Chuchu couldn't help but stare at it a few more times, her heart filled with love for this mythical beast.

She looked at the unicorn and asked curiously, "What skills do you have?"

The unicorn flashed and instantly transformed into a handsome man in white. He knelt on one knee in front of Chu Chu and answered respectfully: "To answer Lingjun, as long as the divine beasts can do it, I can do it too. But compared to your and Tianjun's magic power, I am still far behind."

Chuchu nodded in satisfaction after hearing this. She thought for a moment, then said to the man in white, "Very good. I'm looking to take in an apprentice who's dedicated to exorcising demons and upholding justice. How about you teach him some skills for me?"
