Chapter 407 Cohabitation Life

Chuchu frowned slightly, mentally weighing this sudden decision. Such a large house, empty, it wouldn't be bad to have one more person move in. It could even help with the rent, she thought. As for Rong Lin's slightly odd expression, Chuchu didn't pay much attention. She responded directly, "Yeah, such a large house, do you really want me to have it all to myself? Besides, you actually asked the immortal officials to fabricate a wealthy identity for you. How funny."

Hearing this, Rong Lin smiled faintly, his eyes glittering with a hint of amusement. "Since you want to stay, then go ahead. I don't mind. But if your classmates ask you, how are you going to explain? This morning, you acted like you didn't know me well."

Chu Chu shrugged, looking nonchalant. "Who cares? I'll go my way, and you go your way. Who would know we live together? I really don't want to run into Su Rong lately, so I'm just hiding here. Anyway, Rong Lin, what are you doing in the human world?"

Rong Lin wiped his wet hair with a towel and sat down next to Chu Chu, his tone a bit teasing: "I said it was for you, but you definitely don't believe it."

Chu Chu looked bewildered, her brows furrowed in a frown. "For me? I'm fine, why would you do that for me? Not even a ghost would believe that. Why do you always hide things from me?"

Rong Lin stood up, shook his head helplessly, and walked towards the bedroom, saying as he walked: "Then just think I was lying to you. I said I came here for Rong Qi, do you believe it now?"

Chuchu followed closely behind, seemingly determined to get to the bottom of the matter. Rong Lin was about to throw away the towel in his hand, but when he saw Chuchu following him, he had no choice but to wrap it up again and said helplessly, "Lingjun, I need to change my clothes. Can't you step aside for a moment?"

Chu Chu was unmoved, folding her arms across her chest, as if it was a matter of course: "You really came here for Song Qi. He doesn't even have anyone to protect him now. He's just an ordinary mortal. Are you still worried that he will do something strange?"

Rong Lin picked up a T-shirt and tried to remind her, but Chu Chu said nonchalantly: "I saw you when you were a little Qilin. Now that you've changed your clothes, you want me to avoid you. Is there any part of your body that I haven't seen?"

Rong Lin sighed helplessly and repeated, "There are differences between men and women, you should know that." As he said that, he threw the T-shirt over Chu Chu's head and quickly put on a piece of clothes.

Chuchu threw her T-shirt aside. Rong Lin was already dressed neatly in a gray casual suit, looking particularly handsome. He put one hand in his pocket and took Chuchu by the other hand, saying as they walked towards the guest room, "I'll take you to choose a room and see which one you like."

The two of them walked through the guest rooms, each decorated in a unique style. Rong Lin patiently introduced the features and advantages of each room, while Chu Chu seemed a little absent-minded, her mind still wandering to the previous topic.

She randomly picked a guest room, and before the door was even closed, she turned around impatiently, her eyes gleaming with curiosity and inquiry, and continued to ask Rong Lin: "Hey, tell me the truth, what are you doing here?"

Rong Lin was amused by her persistence, but there was a hint of helplessness hidden in his smile: "I came here just for you."

Chuchu was obviously not satisfied with this answer. She crossed her arms and said, "If you don't explain yourself today, don't even think about leaving." "For me? For what did you come here for?"

Rong Lin sighed, as if he was troubled by Chu Chu's lack of understanding. "It's been tens of thousands of years, how come you're still so clueless? How about we put this matter aside for now and go see what the situation is like in the underworld?"

When the underworld was mentioned, Chuchu's expression instantly became serious. She remembered the ghost messenger's memory recovery and frowned: "There is no news from the Hades yet. We can only wait and see what happens."

Seeing this, Rong Lin changed the subject and pointed to the room Chu Chu had chosen: "Are you sure you want to stay in this room? It seems a bit far from the one I live in. However, this room is quite close to the Starry Sky Roof and the swimming pool."

Chu Chu only then noticed the surrounding facilities. She looked up at the tall building, her eyes lighting up. "Wow, there's a movie theater here? I need to quickly check to see if there are any good movies showing recently. Rong Lin, let's go see a movie now!"

Rong Lin looked at her and said, "Okay, what movie do you want to watch?" He smiled helplessly.

Chu Chu quickly found a movie on her phone and pushed it to Rong Lin: "How about this one, 'Goodbye, Love'?"

Rong Lin glanced at the movie introduction and shook his head: "No, this name sounds unlucky. Look, the male protagonist died in the end..."

Chu Chu disagreed and quickly recommended a comedy to Rong Lin: "What about this one? It looks quite interesting."

Rong Lin refused again: "That's not a good idea. The male and female protagonists are not very good-looking. It will affect my mood."

Chu Chu took a deep breath and patiently found another suspense film: "This one is currently in theaters, let's go watch it?"

Just as Rong Lin was about to refuse, Chu Chu glared at him, her eyes full of the meaning of "If you dare to refuse, I will never let you go." "Don't refuse! You came to the human world just for me, and you don't even want to accompany me to the movies!"

Rong Lin reluctantly compromised. He sighed and asked, "What's the name of the best movie you've ever seen in the human world?"

Chu Chu answered without hesitation: "Léon: The Professional."
