Chapter 161 The First Humanoid Monster's Lair is Breached

The towering artillery fire caught the newly emerged humanoid monsters off guard, leaving behind a trail of monster corpses blasted into pieces. Once their crystal cores were blown out of their heads, they were unable to repair their wounds.

Before the other humanoid monsters could even pick up the crystal cores beside them and devour them, they heard thousands of 'food' figures, dressed entirely in white, converging from all around and rushing towards them with all sorts of strange weapons in their hands.

When did food become so terrifying?

They retaliated in terror.

They used to be the ones attacking humans; this is the first time humans have attacked them.

The humanoid monster panicked!

This humanoid monster's lair is a small monster gathering place, with only about a thousand monsters, which is less than the number of people in the Bright Moon Base.

Gu Mingyue could see that the humanoid monster was barely putting up a fight, and the level three winged membranous monster had already spread its wings and was trying to escape.

"Jiang Shenglin, have the people hiding on the mountaintop turn on all the high-frequency sonic cannons. It's time to let these humanoid monsters know what it's like to be trapped at their own doorstep and unable to get out," Gu Mingyue said with a sneer.

Jiang Shenglin's cold face also revealed a slight smile. He ordered all the high-frequency sonic cannons to be turned on and aimed at the Level 3 winged monsters that were trying to escape.

Seeing this, Gu Mingyue gradually withdrew from the battlefield, and she and Xinghe stood on the two winged membrane monsters respectively. Together with Shen Ming, who was not yet familiar with the business, they caught the humanoid monsters that had escaped into the air.

Although Shen Ming was a level three early-stage ability user, it was his first time standing on the head of a winged monster. Somewhat timidly, he pinched the blue skin of the level three winged monster, and the winged monster, hurt by his pinch, roared fiercely at him.

Shen Ming was blown off the winged monster's back like a ball.

Seeing this, Gu Mingyue pulled him onto the winged monster she was controlling.

He guided him to feed the flesh and blood into the winged monster's mouth, and instructed him, "Xiao Ming, you have a high talent for supernatural abilities. I believe you can control these monsters, and you must also believe in yourself."

"The monster levels will continue to rise in the future. This level 3 winged membrane monster is just a low-level monster. You can't let it defeat you. We must stand on the back of the monsters to reclaim our homeland."

Shen Ming was persuaded by Gu Mingyue and followed her to control it once. Then he nodded and flew into the sky to start the battle.

The winged monster he was controlling was very unstable; he was holding a sticky bomb, but he couldn't destroy a single one in a long time.

But he has already accomplished things that many adults cannot do.

Gu Mingyue and Xinghe were much more at ease and quickly caught up with the fleeing Level 3 Winged Membrane Monsters. One threw out countless crescent-shaped darts, and the other threw out several spatial blades.

The wind and snow did not obstruct their vision, and the winged monsters were powerless against the two's level-four abilities.

While Xu Lanyue was directing her men to fight the humanoid monster, she didn't forget to look up at the sky.

Countless white snowflakes, soaked in the winged monster's black blood and yellow tissue fluid, turned the pure white color into a dark, yellowish hue.

She couldn't see the figures of Gu Mingyue and the other two clearly; she could only vaguely see two winged monsters from different factions colliding and tearing at each other.

"Sister Gu is awesome! This is the first time I've ever seen black snow." She gave Gu Mingyue, who was controlling countless golden crescent-shaped darts in the sky, a thumbs up and shouted, before continuing her battle.

Jiang Shenglin also looked up at the sky, admiring it in his heart. The purple lightning in his hand crackled and stunned several level-two humanoid monsters around him.

"Boss Gu is so cool." Li Hao grinned, revealing his dimples. After the energy ball was emptied, he took out the meteorite gun specially made by Hope Base.

A barrage of gunfire erupted at the monsters on the ground. "Ugly things, take this! I can't let Boss Gu look down on me."

The yellowish-black snow stimulated the people on the ground, causing their adrenaline to surge, making them more and more courageous and killing more and more.

The humanoid monster's wounds healed at an outrageous speed compared to humans, but the projectiles fired by humans were also fast.

The ground was littered with chunks of flesh; the humanoid monsters' heads had been blown up and could never be restored.

The battle between humans and monsters lasted for two days and two nights, and was finally won by Gu Mingyue's leadership.

This was humanity's first counterattack, and although there were casualties, the results were quite good.

"Wow, wow, wow! We actually wiped out the humanoid monster's lair!" The exhausted team member shouted, his voice hoarse.

"Waaah, Mom and Dad, little brother, I've finally avenged you! I killed so many humanoid monsters!" a female soldier cried out, tears streaming down her face.

The ground was covered in white snow, except for this valley which was stained with a mixture of black and red.

When Gu Mingyue and Xinghe landed on the back of the Level 3 Winged Membrane Monster, their shoulders were covered with a thin layer of snow, and their snow-white faces remained clean, even though they had been fighting almost non-stop in the sky for two days.

But there was no sign of fatigue on his face, and not a drop of blood was shed.

"Boss Gu is amazing! Those terrifying winged monsters are like flying chicks in her hands. They can't beat her at all. With a few swift slashes in the air, they're all dead." The members of Hope Base all looked at Gu Mingyue with admiration.

The members of the Bright Moon Base wore expressions of pride: "Hehe, you admire him to death, don't you? It's a pity that this is our boss, not yours. You can only be jealous. We can see our boss every day."

The Hope Base member who was being talked about wasn't annoyed: "That man next to your boss looks pretty impressive too. Who is he?"

He looked at the handsome man standing beside Gu Mingyue, who showed no signs of fatigue and had thoughtfully draped a fur cloak over her shoulders.

"Hehe, that's our boss's husband. He's also a level four ability user. He's handsome and virtuous, and he takes such good care of our boss. He arranges everything perfectly, from food and clothing to accommodation and transportation. He's even more meticulous than me, a woman," a female member of the Bright Moon Base said with a smile, leaving behind envious glances.
