With humanoid monsters in front and rats behind, the group of people were caught in a pincer movement and had no way to escape. They were devoured by the monsters, leaving not even bones behind.
After Gu Mingyue threw out the rotten flesh to attract some of the rats' attention, she picked up the turtle and the little snake and led the remaining eight pets and Xinghe in a deadly race around the buildings in the community.

Gu Mingyue stopped when she saw that there were less than forty mice left.
Shaking his head to loosen his muscles, he absorbed all the crystal cores he hadn't had time to absorb after digging them out, and felt his supernatural power replenished.
He threw the turtle in his hand like a frisbee, knocking down a small group of mice.
The mice were stunned by the little turtle's impact. They shook their heads and saw a golden turtle. They slowly moved forward, angrily opened their mouths and bit at the golden shell, instantly shattering their long front teeth.
The little turtle, its eyelids drooping, continued to crawl slowly toward Gu Mingyue. As its body grew heavier and it became itchy, it slowly turned its head and saw a mouse biting its tail. It kicked the mouse away and continued crawling.
The group of sharp-toothed rats were completely helpless against its golden appearance and had no choice but to stop their futile efforts.
"My darlings, it's time to eat. Remember to pick the ones without pustules," Gu Mingyue said sweetly to her pets.
Apart from the little turtle, all the other pets stared at the group of fat rats with gleaming eyes.
After they evolved, their stomachs began to rumble.
Unfortunately, driven by its owner, it hasn't had a full meal yet. Now, a group of fat rats have suddenly appeared, each one plump and every bite of meat containing boundless energy.
