Qin Nian nodded. They didn't have that many large electronic computing devices, so most of the experimental data still needed to be verified by people.
Yang Yufen had plenty of receipts and went on a shopping spree, buying all the daily necessities. She even managed to snag some meat with Aunt Liu.

Aunt Liu was very satisfied with today's harvest and led Yang Yufen to several places.

They arrived at the lumber mill again. They didn't need coupons to buy planks, and there were also ready-made solid wood beds. Yang Yufen thought she would have to apply some tung oil to the wooden box later so that it would last longer.
After remaking the bed, Yang Yufen hammered two long nails into the wall, then pulled a rope to cut out the flawed fabric she had bought, sewed it up, and made a curtain.
Aunt Liu was in a hurry to go back and cook, as her two grandsons were coming home for dinner.
After Yang Yufen finished, she swept the yard clean, as the wood chips and scraps could be used for firewood.
Qin Nian hadn't returned yet, so Yang Yufen cleared the empty space in the yard again, preparing to plant vegetables.
Suddenly, Yang Yufen had a stomachache. She closed the door and saw a line of people waiting for the outhouse. She thought to herself, "This is too much trouble. Unlike in their village, every household has an outhouse."
Normally it's fine, but it must be unbearable for pregnant women to have to wait in line like this.

"Qin Nian, I heard your mother-in-law is here? She's not here to cause you trouble, is she?"
Qin Nian's colleague, Yi Mengling, came over.
"Yes, I'm here. I have to go back now, so I won't talk to you anymore."
