As Qin Nian was thinking, Yang Yufen returned with a few green vegetables. She quickly washed them, and the noodles in the pot were almost cooked. She added the green vegetable leaves and a few drops of sesame oil, and it was done.
"Mom, I can't finish two eggs, you can have one too."
"I cooked three, let's eat."
Yang Yufen refused to accept Qin Nian's unfinished meal and scooped up the egg from the bottom of her own bowl to eat.
Seeing this, Qin Nian obediently ate her noodles; the steaming hot soup noodles were indeed good for warming the stomach.

Qin Nian sat down in the back of the truck. The tarpaulin canopy blocked out the cold wind. The truck started moving, and Qin Nian realized that she was supposed to be taking her mother-in-law out. How did it turn into her mother-in-law taking her out? And where were they going?
With a clear goal in mind, Yang Yufen headed straight for the Third People's Hospital.
"Mom, are you feeling unwell?"
"No, I'm just showing you around. Don't say anything, just follow along."
During this time together, Yang Yufen also figured out Qin Nian's personality. Apart from work-related matters, Qin Nian was not very decisive in daily life. As long as Yang Yufen was a little firm, Qin Nian would obediently agree without asking any questions.
Sure enough, Qin Nian silently followed behind Yang Yufen until the doctor gave her a prescription to have her blood drawn for tests. Only then did Qin Nian remember something she had been ignoring.
Looking up at her mother-in-law who was waiting for the results, Qin Nian lowered her head and reached out to touch her belly. Actually, her periods had always been irregular. Would this disappoint her mother-in-law and cause her to go straight back to the village?
