The children finished washing up quickly, and Qin Nian saw several of them fetching water to wash their own clothes.
"Mom, is the washing machine broken?"
Qin Nian looked at Yang Yufen.
"No, they're fine. Last time they used the washing machine to wash potatoes, so I punished them by making them wash their own clothes. Once they realize how difficult it is to wash clothes, they won't get themselves all dirty anymore."
Speaking of this, Yang Yufen recalled the few sets of clothes that couldn't be washed yesterday; thankfully, they were all old clothes.
"So that's how it is."
Qin Nian nodded, glanced at the washing machine that required her to change and empty the water herself, and thought she might as well start with the washing machine. Washing clothes for the whole family by herself was indeed quite tiring. It was okay in the summer, but it wouldn't be so easy in the winter.
The children caught the cartoon right on time. When the cartoon ended, the news broadcast started. Yang Yufen watched the news, and the children took the radio to the yard.
"Mom, will you come with us?"
Li Wen grabbed Qin Nian's sleeve, and Qin Nian followed the child.
Hearing the children communicate in foreign languages, Qin Nian was somewhat shocked, especially when she saw that Erbao knew more than one foreign language. Qin Nian helped correct their pronunciation. The more time she spent with the children, the more she realized that she had missed out on so much.
During her absence, the teacher and his wife acted as the children's grandparents, helping to take care of them.
"Liwen, aren't you tired of studying so much?"
Qin Nian discovered that Li Wen was reading more than Li Wu. The two children were only a little bit apart; Li Wu had already gone to play, but Li Wen was still listening to the radio.
"Not tiring at all, it's quite fun."
Wang Xing nodded in agreement.
"The only downside is that many people don't know how to pronounce it. Only when Grandma has time can she help us correct our pronunciation and teach us more. But Mom is so amazing! Mom knows everything, but Dad doesn't."
Shen Xianjun came out just in time to hear this sentence, and his lips curled into a grin. There was no doubt that this child was disgusted with him, the father.
Forget it, he, as the father, wouldn't argue with a kid. He's learned enough of one foreign language, and this little brat is learning three. Only his in-laws have the patience to teach him.
"It's almost time. Aren't you guys going to training today?"
Shen Xianjun tapped his watch, and Li Wen immediately stood up, no longer clinging to Qin Nian.
"Mom, we went to train with Grandpa Liao. Today we're going to talk about setting traps."

Just as Li Wen finished speaking, Hu Zhenghao came back from outside the door to call for help.
"Do the children have such a rich and fulfilling life every day?"
Qin Nian couldn't help but become curious.
"This is a habit they've developed. They run together at six in the morning, have class at seven-thirty, and at noon, Mr. Liao will tell them stories from the battlefield. School ends at five in the afternoon, and cartoons are shown at six."
If their maternal grandmother is free at 7 PM, she will take them to learn a foreign language. They also have evening training at 8 PM, and come home at 9 PM, going to bed at 9:30 PM.
Yang Yufen came out smiling and described the child's general daily routine.
Qin Nian nodded and made a mental note of it.
"Mom, I have to go out tomorrow and I don't know what time I'll be back. I might not be home for lunch."
"It's okay, I use the bicycle at home all the time, it's still rideable."
Yang Yufen nodded.
"I'll go see your Aunt Guixiang tomorrow, tonight..."
"Mom, we'll be back this afternoon."
Qin Nian quickly spoke up.
"Mom, I'll cook dinner tonight."
