It looks like the roof tiles are being blown around.
"It might rain heavily. It's been extremely hot this year, and it's the busy season for farming. If a heavy rain comes, the harvested grain might sprout if it hasn't been covered in time."
Yang Yufen couldn't help but worry, hoping that it would only rain in a few places.
The light outside the window went out almost instantly, and a crackling sound rang out.

Professor Wen quickly pulled Yang Yufen back.
Hearing the sound of hail cracking the roof tiles, Yang Yufen couldn't help but feel heartbroken, and then she thought of her children.
After about ten minutes, the noise from the rooftop gradually subsided, but the temperature inside the house felt much lower. Yang Yufen pulled out two thick coats, and the two of them put them on.

"The vegetables are all ruined. I'm going to check on the chicken coop in the back."

"I'll go with you."
"No, we only have one pair of rubber boots at home."
Yang Yufen spoke up to stop her, then quickly walked towards the backyard.
The chicken coop was covered with wooden planks, so it wasn't damaged, but the chickens were shivering from the cold. Yang Yufen used a shovel to clear away the hail and then took out the tarpaulin she had put away to cover the chicken coop to keep the chickens warm.
Since the vegetables would freeze anyway if she didn't pick them now, Yang Yufen simply picked them all and took them back.
Spoiled persimmons can be made into jam and stored for a while. Eat the rest if you can, and feed the rest to the chickens.
"Sister Wang, are you home? Is everything alright at home?"
Yang Yufen shouted towards the next room.
"It's nothing, it's just that the child was startled."
Aunt Wang quickly responded as well.
"Okay, I still have some roof tiles at home. I'll fix the roof and show you later. Do you have any spare roof tiles at home?"
Yang Yufen was already carrying a ladder, ready to go up to the roof.

After calming Miaomiao down, Yaoyao was also at home, and the two little girls snuggled together under the covers.

The tiled houses all had some tiles stored for daily repairs and replacements. Yang Yufen climbed onto the roof, looked at the dilapidated roof, and sighed.
