After finishing their ice cream, the children lay down on the bamboo bed and fell asleep instantly.
When Yang Yufen and Professor Wen returned from buying groceries, they saw a group of children sleeping soundly on bamboo beds, while Shen Xianjun sat beside them watching over the children.
"Alright, you should go get some sleep too."
"I'm not sleepy, the chicken is ready."
Shen Xianjun spoke.
"If you're not sleepy, then help prepare dinner. Niannian and the others will be back tonight to eat together."
Yang Yufen didn't dwell on it.
"You watch the children, it's too hot in the kitchen with so many people."

Professor Wen nodded.
Unexpectedly, there wasn't enough food. They went to buy groceries a little late and couldn't find pork belly, so they bought spare ribs instead. They made braised spare ribs with potatoes, and Yang Yufen handed the spare ribs to Shen Xianjun to chop.

The twins sighed. Their good friend Wang Xing hadn't come back after a whole vacation, and they missed him terribly.
Inside the house, Qin Nian returned after washing up. Shen Xianjun was reading a book, and when he saw Qin Nian return, he closed the book.
"Niannian, I want to discuss something with you."
When Shen Xianjun spoke, Qin Nian paused for a moment, then nodded and sat down.
"Mom wants to buy a tricycle."
Why didn't Mom tell me?
Qin Nian was surprised.
