Unnoticed, Gui Xiang wiped away a tear.
The captain who came to see them off sighed, "Every family has its own troubles."
The captain made a phone call to Yang Yufen.
"Guixiang is back? Changshun, that kid is really something. Okay, I got it. How many families in our village are willing to plant fruit trees? The seedlings only require transportation fees. Someone will come to guide the planting process. The seedlings need to be reserved in advance, or they might be snapped up by others."
Yang Yufen listened to what the captain was saying, then hung up the phone and returned to the shop with a furrowed brow.
"What's wrong with the old lady?"
Xianglian came over and asked with concern.
"Your aunt only got home last night, but she came back early this morning. She should arrive tomorrow night. When she does, please try to comfort her. Sigh..."
Yang Yufen sighed.
Upon hearing this, Xianglian lowered her head. She had always remembered her aunt's kindness in helping her. Changshun's actions were truly inappropriate. Her aunt was such a good person.
"I understand, Auntie."
When Er Shun's father came over and learned about this, he simply nodded.
"I'll go to the station to pick up my wife tomorrow."
Hu Jun and Shen Xianjun followed Wang Da Niang to the mountain land they had contracted, where lumberjacks were busy at work.
"This is not suitable for training new recruits. However, it would be helpful if there were any people who were not busy to help out. These two mountains need to be cleared by next spring, which requires a lot of manpower. Otherwise, once winter comes and it snows, there will be nothing that can be done."
Hu Jun felt it was a bit of a pity that the equipment couldn't be used to train new recruits, but Wang Da Niang's words gave him some reminders.
"Auntie, this land reclamation requires a lot of people. If some of them have physical disabilities, would you be willing to let them do the work?"
Hu Jun looked at Aunt Wang and spoke.
"As long as it doesn't affect my work, it's fine. I may have a physical disability, but I'm not a person with a bad character, nor am I someone who steals or cheats. The job I do doesn't require any special skills. I just need to be able to endure hardship."
Aunt Wang said she didn't mind.
"That's great, Auntie. I see that after we deal with these big trees, there are still a lot of branches, saplings, and weeds left. Do you and Aunt Yang have any plans for that?"
"I can't burn all of these myself, so I'm thinking of cleaning them up and selling them all."
"Auntie, I'll have someone come and take this firewood away. I'll pay you the usual price for firewood, is that alright?"
Hu Jun spoke.
"Of course, no problem. If you can help find someone to do the work, the price will be based on what I and your Aunt Yang agreed on."
Aunt Wang knew what Hu Jun was going to do, and she wanted to help him however she could.
"Auntie, thank you so much for your support of our work."
Hu Jun was somewhat excited.
"The problem is that people come here but there's nowhere to stay. I've discussed it with your Aunt Yang, and we'll build a shed here first. People who can't easily go home can stay in the wooden shed temporarily, so they don't have to go through so much trouble to come back and forth."
