"Okay, ma'am, you're busy, don't worry about me."
"Grandma, can we see the chicks?"
Miaomiao shook Wang Da Niang's hand.
"Okay, but wait a bit, okay? We're moving things now, it's a bit messy. Grandma will call you when we're done."
"Grandma, don't worry, I'll watch over my little sister. We'll just stay right next to her and make sure she doesn't move or run around."
Yao Yao grabbed Miao Miao and made a promise.
Shen Xianjun looked at the newly built breeding farm and the staff dormitory, his eyes taking in everything around him, and a thought flashed through his mind.
This must have cost a lot of money, right? How much loan did they take out to do all this?
Suddenly, he felt immense pressure. His mother was incredibly daring to take on such a huge undertaking.
Shen Xianjun unconsciously touched the twenty-odd yuan in his pocket. He still had to be careful and save every penny he could.
"Young man, make way. Are you in the military too? Who are you looking for?"
Suddenly, an old man's voice rang out behind Shen Xianjun. The old man was holding a sickle, and it looked like he was going to cut grass.
"I've come to find my mother."
Shen Xianjun met the old man's eyes and unconsciously straightened his body.
"You must be Sister Yang's son. You do look somewhat like her. Hmm, not bad, not bad at all. You're a promising young man."
The old man nodded happily, looked at the tender grass beside him, bent down and began to cut it.
"Grandpa, let me help you."
When Shen Xianjun saw the old man walking with a limp and one arm unnaturally bent, he felt a deep sense of respect.
"No need, no need, this job is easy. Did you bring the kids? If you're having lunch here, go find Old Zhou over at the cafeteria. He's cooking right now, just look for the smoke coming out."
The old man pointed with his sickle, and Shen Xianjun saw it too. It hadn't been smoking before, but now it was.
"good."
The children had already started playing on their own. Shen Xianjun walked towards the canteen, encountering several people along the way who looked like the old man from before.
Those with good eyesight could guess Shen Xianjun's identity just from his appearance.
As Shen Xianjun walked into the canteen, he suddenly felt a gust of wind behind him and instinctively grabbed it.
"Gently, gently, don't kill him, Baymax. You always want to bite people, now look what happened."
Shen Xianjun was holding a large white goose in his hand. Although its fate was in its grasp, it still had a pair of powerful wings. As it flapped its wings, feathers flew everywhere and hit Shen Xianjun.
"Young man, you must be Sister Yang's son, right? You look like him."
The old man raised his hand to adjust his glasses; only one eye was normal.
"Yes, sir, what should we do with this goose?"
"Just take it to the pond and throw it in. The fence is a bit low, and it keeps escaping."
"good."
Shen Xianjun nodded, grabbed the goose by the neck with one hand and its wing with the other, strode toward the pond, and then threw it in.
When he turned around, the one-eyed old man was still waiting for him.
"Going to the cafeteria, right? Let's go."
The one-eyed old man led the way with a smile, and before they even entered the kitchen, his voice rang out.
"We have a special guest today, Sister Yang's son is here. Old Zhou, would you like to add something to lunch?"
"Hey, the chicken farm just called and said that Sister Yang went to buy chickens. They're having extra dishes for lunch, but they don't have enough steamed buns, so I'll make some more noodles."
"Thank you for your hard work, especially with a few children with you. I used to work in the mess hall, so I'll help you out."
